I came in here, eye on a used 2024 Royal Enfield Classic 350, cash in hand, and walked out. Do not shop used inventory here! My first interaction with Daniel was embarrassing. He tried to tell me the bike was unreliable and didn't have ABS. I told him I was looking right at them on the bike. I asked for the odometer reading, and he tells me the battery is dead. Since he clearly didn't know anything about the bike specs, I went to Ava. She asked me on the phone if I wanted to pay in full or do a payment plan, and I told her the battery was dead. They scheduled a meeting for a Friday, which had to be rescheduled for the following week because the battery still hadn't come in. I go in today finally, battery installed, bike turns on, and she asks if I plan to drive it off the lot today. Yes of course, but she said it still hadn't been serviced yet, then tells me it's too early to be serviced at 31 miles. I don't necessarily want to keep making trips here if they can't guarantee I can leave with the bike. I arrive and I cannot get a straight answer on where this bike came from. Daniel told me it was a trade-in. Ava told me initially that the owner likely bought it for himself then changed his mind, then she said he may have bought it as a gift, then she said actually it came from a disabled owner who bent the clutch lever in to accommodate his disability. I asked for some kind of verification of this history and they said they couldn't provide it. Not to mention the clutch lever was loose and because it was bent they needed to replace it, which again prevents me from leaving with the bike that day and added yet another trip. Ava asked a man named Leo to talk to me about the service history, and he said they hadn't performed anything. I asked what about the battery? And he goes oh yeah well that. Everyone's attitude felt extremely apathetic and even insulted I inquired about the history of a used bike. They never even offered me or my partner water. The worst part was the breakdown of fees. They said they have a non-negotiable $595 dealer prep fee. For a used bike! That isn't even a Ducati! They can't even service the Enfield with Enfield parts. The receipt for the battery was for a generic YTX9-BS. They wouldn't remove the dealer prep fee, and claimed they needed to charge over $300 for registration. Max allowed by NYS Law is $175. Again, they seemed extremely jaded that I had the audacity to come prepared. When I assumed I could hold onto the buyer report to consider it at home, the manager ripped the papers from my hand, claiming they were "legal documents" I could sign and I wasn't allowed to keep them. That was not only bizarre, but aggressive. After I asked them to remove all the registration and documentation fees, they still came up with $4250, $750 over asking, for a used bike because they "can't remove a dealer prep fee" for a bike they haven't prepared a damn thing for. I counter-offered $4K cash, they declined and I walked out. The entire interaction lacked expertise, care, or even basic courtesy and customer service. It's one thing to charge exorbitant fees on a used bike, it's another to do it rudely, especially having come in with cash in hand to pay free and clear. Avoid this location, go to Cycle Therapy and work with individuals like Rav who aren't going to charge you a prep fee for used bikes. read more

The manager Marcos is fantastic. He knows everything about motorcycles giving great advice and cares. Anything you need he is right on top of it. Cannot say enough how he goes out of his way to make this shop a wonderful experience. Maintenance is great with Angel giving updates and on top of his game. In fact everybody in service is fantastic with great turnaround time on very complicated repairs. Very experienced service people that work on Ducatis so you know your bike is fixed right. However, when it comes to merchandise, everything is either XS or XXL. after finding $300 worth of merchandise the only way I could check out was to give him my said I just want to check said I can't do that. OK - my relationship with DucatiNYC got off in the wrong foot when I got some bad information about inventory. I went ahead and bought a Scrambler then a Streetfighter from a dealer on Long Island. Turns out Marcos is a friend of a friend and when he found out he called me personally and made good. Since then everything I've needed has been done here and I am 100% satisfied! Angel in service is awesome, Marcos is always helpful and happy. This is the busiest Ducati dealer in America and I can say I know why. Before they decided to close down they were great. The process they used to wind that biz down was subpar. I'm writing a second review for these guys. Specifically for Becks (Ashley) and John in parts as well as Ashley and Carrie in service. Last but not least, Kyle, who was the mechanic. I bought my bonneville from here two years ago (see prior review) and recently decided to customize it in the vein of a cafe racer. Becks was very helpful and great at pointing out what might work and getting the build designed to my specs. John was always calm and friendly in following up and making sure we got all the parts accounted for - especially when I would call up a few times to go over each item or have him send me pictures of parts. Although the work did take a week longer than expected it was well worth the wait. I've already gotten a lot of compliments on the bike and it's a hell of a lot more fun to ride. The few items I needed adjustments for after a week of riding were quickly attended to by Kyle when I dropped in unannounced. He took time away from his work to make sure everything was to my liking (things like handlebar positioning, etc). Perhaps they're not the right choice for everyone but with my lack of time and build/mechanic experience, what would have taken me 5-6 months was done in 2 weeks. It was definitely a team effort...but sadly only my bank account! read more

He wasn't pushy or salesy, he just took a few minutes to show me around the shop and then introduce me to various people from all his departments (sales, gear, service, finance). I had a fantastic experience at Ducati New York. Everyone there is polite, professional and knowledgeable. I never felt like I was getting a hard sell or that they were only interested in pushing higher ticket bikes on me. They really wanted to ensure that I had a good experience and that I chose the bike that was right for me and my needs. Given that Ducati is a luxury brand, it only makes sense to expect a luxury experience and I was not disappointed. I specifically worked with Tony and Marcos and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with both of them. I had a minor accident on a Triumph Thruxton that bent the front tubes and scraped up the side of the bike. I'd bought the bike at the Metuchen dealership, but since I live in Brooklyn, had the bike taken to the shop in Manhattan. I called the shop, asked them when they could get me in and gave me a date 2 weeks out. The shop in Metuchen said it would be at least that before I could take it there. So, Manhattan it is. Dropped off the bike and coordinated the insurance guy to go look at it with the shop. Shop produced a quote, insurance guy sent it to me, authorized the repairs, and called it a day. Two weeks later I called to check in on progress. Guy on the phone didn't know, but said they'd call me back. No call back. Called a few days later, same thing: said they'd call me back, no call back. A month after I dropped off the bike, I was in the area, so stopped by. Staff told me they were waiting on parts but should have them in a week. Great. So, bike should be ready in two weeks max, right? Fully a month later (so, two full months elapsed time), the bike is finally ready. During this time, no updates -- I call every two weeks to check in and get the run-around each time. Go in to pick up the bike. The shop produces an invoice that's 20% higher than quoted. They swapped out parts they didn't quote and never called me or insurance to authorize the change. They didn't save the old parts, so I couldn't verify with insurance, so had to pay the extra amount. Not happy about this at all, but accepted it and moved on. Got the bike home. Took it out for a ride. Front wheel is clearly out of alignment. Call the shop. They say to bring it back in. I bring it back in. (Now, probably at 3 months elapsed time.) Drop off the bike. About a week later, get a call to pick it up. When I come in I ask, "So, what was the problem?" Staff member says, "Don't know, but the mechanic said it should be better now." Hrm. That's weird. Take the bike back. Get on the highway two weeks later and the front wheel is clearly out of alignment. If I stand on the pegs and look at the wheels, it's visibly wobbling. At this point, I can either take it back to this shop and deal with them again, or take it to Metuchen and have them look at it. Since the Manhattan dealership is clearly incompetent, I take it to Metuchen. Fifteen minutes at the Metuchen mechanic and he says, "Your rim is bent." They fix it, problem solved. How a professional motorcycle shop charged with fixing front-end damage on a bike could miss a visibly bent rim is beyond me. That combined with the absolutely pathetic customer service leaves me completely unimpressed with this store. read more

The worst most unprofessional service shop I have seen. Called a month prior for an appointment. When the time came for me to bring in the bike, I get called by one of their techs. Guess what? Although you have an appointment, you'll have to wait ANOTHER month. All I heard was excuse after excuse, And they try to divert me by increasing the price, making up more excuses, when I said I don't care about the money, they continued making more excuses. I was very disappointed with the level of service, salesmanship and attention to detail (well, lack there of) that this dealership offered. It was very obviously a sausage factory of tourists seeking hokey branded Ducati and Triumph merch and 1%ers who don't care about the price tag of anything they buy. The salespeople pounce on you, don't answer your questions directly and know very little about their stock, financing plans and even general motorcycling issues. Instead, talk to you about innocuous things to steer your mind away from the fact that you're paying sticker price for the bike. If you're a tourist, new to biking, or are willing to pay more because you don't want to take a 30 minute drive outside of the city. Great. Otherwise, steer clear from this place. read more

The guys at Ducati don't simply make sales and service bikes, they are creating an extended family with an atmosphere conducive to just stopping in and saying hello. I am on my second bike and still can't stay away from the store. I often swing by to check out the new gear, the new bikes or sometimes, simply to talk with the guys. And the doors of Ducati NYC are always open to help with any questions that may come up - questions not just about the bikes but also basic riding tips and good advice. I have been to other stores, some small mom and pop shops, some bigger dealers and nothing can come close to the experience you will receive from Steve, Marco, Eric and the gang. They are hard core enthusiasts that share their knowledge and experience willingly with newbies like me. There is nothing intimidating about this store; just an open hand and welcoming atmosphere which makes getting on a bike, especially your first, that much easier, that much simpler and that much more fun - and that is what it is all about. read more

About three weeks ago, i was looking for a bike and was very interested in the Ducati Monster 1100EVO Diesel edition. I first went to the location at New Hyde park because it was closer to me and didn't want to deal with the city traffic. After checking out the bike there, I fell in love with it. When i called the next day, the bike was sold. There's a saying in the car business, and it could deff apply here, that the car you want tomorrow is sold to the person who saw it yesterday. They said they can get me another bike by the end of the month but being the type of person i am, I had to have the bike and that's how i came across these fine folks. When i called Ducati Triumph, i was transferred to the sales department and assisted by Joonil. I asked if they had the bike i was interested in and he said yes. That pretty much made my day. I went straight to pricing and cut to the chase. the price deference from what i was quoted at the other dealership was about $1000. Joonil was very professional in his negotiations and being a sales manager myself, i respected that. He asked to see the offer the other dealership made in writing, just like i read in another review, but it wasn't deceitful as he portraits them to be. The bottom line is that they are a business and they need to stick to certain figures. I expressed to him that I'm not looking to haggle and want the bike. He asked to call me back. He did as promised and we worked a deal that we both were happy about. My schedule is pretty busy and since i wanted the bike right away, and being that my schedule was limited we couldn't really find a day that was good for me. I was so impressed by Joonil even offering to come to my house to sign and fill out the paper work. I don't have that in me to let him do so and the only day that i can go for the paper work is Mon cause it's Presidents day and I'm off. I didn't know that they didn't open on Mondays. But what do they do? Joonil and Marcos come down to the city, on Presidents day, open the dealership so i can fill out all the necessary paper work to get the ball rolling. Now if that's not customer service, I don't know what is. They were both so nice, friendly and knowledgeable. The paper work was a breeze. The bike was ready a few days after and went for pick up. I saw Marcos for some final signatures and had the walk around the bike with Joon. Again, the same level of service. I thank them and will recommend them. I really do not write any reviews on Yelp. I use it mostly to find good places to eat but I had to write something about the great level of service i received especially when both gentleman came in on their day off to accommodate my schedule. read more

If you had asked me a year ago to rate this store I would've given it a very strong three stars as opposed to the very strong four it gets now. Service before was lukewarm and friendly as long as you had money. Today service is friendly from the time you set foot on the sidewalk outside. When my friends and I take trips out the state we always meet at Ducati New York and the guys inside always come out to talk and have offered us coffee and Red Bulls from time to time. I bought my Triumph from here years ago and they still remember me and, yes they're trying to get me to come back in and spend more money I don't have but hey, at least they do it with a smile. These guys were super helpful when I talked to them today about the merits of a Ducati Monster vs. a decked-out Bonneville. Both Raphael and Marcos laid out the facts and were super honest with me, even when I told them I was from way out of town. They had a Bonneville they had customized on display that was really, really awesome. Not many shops can customize a bike and have it look "right" but they pulled it off. Even though I didn't spend a dollar here it says something about the service and sales staff when they know how to treat people and know their way around a bike. read more

This is going to be though as this dealer is tainted with the previous two "attempts" at operating a high-end motorcycle shop in the city. The location is amazing, but that also translates to high rent. Also, it's not "big enough" the service area does not have a proper garage to accommodate that many bikes so they need to move the bikes out and in all the time. Since there are a lot of "lookers" and not enough "buyers" they are reluctant to open on "expected" holidays - for example Black Friday / Black Saturday. The reason is, they are a "stair accessed" store, bikes, service, parts all accessible from within and they cannot lock it down. So if they want to open on a vacation day, they need to bring the entire staff, take the bikes in the service out, do the day, and put them back in. Operating the entire staff on such a high-pay vacation day does not pay off for them, so they don't open on these days and piss everybody off. Alas, the allure is there and with the last management change, things seem to have taken a turn for the better. Marcos "Spaniard" Martinez (Sales and Operations Manager) is doing a fantastic job at creating that "welcome feel" for the entire shop and purchasing experience. I walked in, did my bidding, back and forths, hand-shakes, calls, emails and usual threats and Marcos was there at the end of the phone line, or the email bravely countering my attacks. The entire purchasing process was courteous, fun, professional and efficient at all levels - this is not my first bike purchase btw. Their location is their biggest advantage and the biggest disadvantage. For the time being, I am the proud owner of a Triumph Tiger Explorer and so far Marcos and the rest of the team at Ducati Triumph New York has been in full support of all my questions, needs and quirks. Now, keep in mind that I have 0 (zero) service experience with them and I am hoping that that experience will be late by years - but whence that day comes, I will be like a vulture on their a***sses making sure that my bike is being taken care of. I am not the kind who "waits" for an update, I am the kind that goes in with pliers and pry that update from whatever resource has the information. So am sure, they'll be fine :) Meanwhile, they are the only Ducati Triumph dealership in town, go, check the bikes out. Harass Marcos the Spaniard and tell him "Jim" sent you :) You'll have a blast. read more

I have not used their service department, so my experience so far is only from purchasing a bike. I purchased a brand new Scrambler, and the experience couldn't have been better. Every person (joonil and marcos) that I interacted with were knowledgeable, professional, fun, and felt like dudes I'd go riding with. They also helped me get exactly what I want/need to make my bike customized and personal. They also advised me that I should book service 3-4 weeks out, because that's how busy they are. I guess that's not their fault, and at least they are giving me the head's up so as to make it as painless as possible. Overall, super pro. Good dudes. read more

Sales department is fine, there were only minor glitches when I bought 2013 Tiger 800. Service department stinks. I was told to make a first service appointment when I have 300 miles on the odometer, since they are very busy. I did, in mid-May. The appointment was given for June 28. By the time of the appointment I already had 1300 miles on. No worries, I changed the oil at 500 myself. But I did noticed something strange: a bunch of ants under the glass of the instrument panel. If the ants made it there, the panel housing is defective. "Bring the bike on Friday" - said the guy who made the appointment, - "I'll work on it on Saturday, and everything will be done". Appointment day. After work, in NY summer heat I make a 37 miles trip to the dealership. "When do you want it done?" - asked the nice girl at the register. ASAP, I said. Next week the weather was even hotter, and the work was busy. Only by next Friday did I realize that no one called me to ask to take the bike back. Turns out, they forgot about it. So much for the appointment and 'when-do-you-want-it-back', the latter must have been just a receptionist's curiosity. I spoke to a very apologetic man, who assured me that the guy who made the initial appointment "is not with us anymore, he was was making too many of these mistakes", and promised me repeatedly to do the work - service, and installation of a few options they did not have during the sale - in no time. As for the ants, he said they will file a warranty claim and exchange the whole instrument panel assembly. Tuesday, he said, the work will be done, and we'll call you right away. Fine. I wasn't really surprised when no one called on Tuesday. Next day I called myself. "Sure, we were just going to give you a buzz, everything is ready". Another mad dash after work to the dealership. All is well, I'm assured. And the instrument panel? "Oh, we will file the warranty claim", says the guy - the one who, according to the previous character, is not with them anymore. - But you said it would be done... "We'll give you a call as soon as we get approval. Now, we'll bring your bike to the street." Out I go, and wait for my bike to be brought out. Fifteen minutes later I start pacing, and notice my bike out there, among the dozens of others. Judging by the rain drops (it rained an hour before), it had been there for a while, unbeknownst to the front desk. The top case, where I left the helmet, does not open - never malfunctioned before in 5 years I had it. The E-ZPass is gone. They found the E-ZPass, and I opened the case with a mighty kick (first time for everything), but aggravation level at that point was pretty high. It's the beginning of August. Am I surprised no one called from the Service department to come and have warranty work done? Not really. Nowhere else to go locally; Gold Coast, which is closer to my work, told me over the phone "we do not service bikes we did not sell". So, I'm riding with a bunch of dead ants in the instrument panel. Doesn't bother me terribly. The bike is great. The dealer support - almost nonexistent. Hard to believe - in NYC! read more
