I like the location, we were in cabin 23 and it was right next to the beach, and close to the docks and the playground. The cabin was clean, but old and dated and had a mustiness to it. The beds were not very comfortable. The deck was great and honestly, we spent the majority of the time there. The resort is close to everything - but never felt that way. It is quiet and serene. Even the resort itself didn't feel crowed even though it was pretty full. The ground is covered by soft pine needles that are way better than grass and I think help keep the bugs away. And I should say - I normally attract mosquitoes from three states around. In the time it takes me to water flowers at home, I can have 3-5 bites. I came home from 4 days at Island Pointe without a bite. HUGE!! I also loved the shadiness of the area. I hate sun and it was easy to avoid it (it was easy to get it too - on the beach and the pool, for those that like sun). The staff is super helpful and respectful. They take a lot of pride in the resort. Honestly, I think that my cabin at least would have made this a 5-star review but the fact that my husband slept with a t-shirt wrapped around his pillow case, means that the cabin could be brought more up to date. Days were packed with fresh air and adventure; nights were peaceful and relaxing. What truly makes this ranch special is the people. It's family-run, and by the end of our stay, we felt like part of the family ourselves. Everyone is warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy. The indoor and outdoor pools are absolutely amazing--perfect for kids and adults alike. You can tell the staff takes real pride in maintaining the property. Everything felt fresh and inviting. The management is incredibly friendly and responsive. Our foursome played in about 4 hours which was a good pace. Carts had GPS for yardage. Staff was friendly. Great experience.

Was able to get drinks and refills with not too much of a wait. Buffalo Wings were solid. The clubouse had a very good patio, was cool to relax out there after our round with a bourbon. Condo was nice and clean, few amenities, balconies that back up to the fairways. The replica holes were a fun challenge. There was a very nice lady who cleaned our clubs while my group finished the 18th hole. The not so good: For what you're paying for on this course, I expect a little more. Half of the ball washers were empty, none at all had towels. Water coolers on the course were entirely empty on a hot day. Greens were not very well kept, all kinds of chunks taken out of them. Beverage cart was few and far between. One of the guys who worked there had some pace-of-play comments to make to us, even though we were keeping up with and pushing the group in front of us. Overall, had a good time but at those rates, hope you make it a little more worth our while.

How many hotels have that? None that I have seen so far. The bad: - Front desk clerk was not very friendly or nice. - Wifi cuts in and out if your not close to the original area of wifi and has a 2G extension. Who uses 2G anymore? - Room is not updated, it has a small, old TV. - This place doesn't have ice. You have to bring your own. Basically, this place isn't bad for a one night stay, but for an extended stay for the price of $80 isn't worth it. If you plan to stay an entire weekend, find somewhere else with a better quality than this place. If I could do it over again, I would try to find someplace else with better quality for a better price.
