I start this review by saying I'm not big on donuts or sweets in general however the bacon glaze donut is fantastic!

As a long time resident of Mamaroneck, I've been hoping for the day when we'd get a freshly made donut place. When I heard Duck Donuts was opening, I was extremely excited, but was wary about the lack of a chocolate donut. I ordered two donuts, one with chocolate icing, one with lemon. The box they came in was incredibly hot due to the donuts being freshly made, which also meant that the icing was melting off the second it touched the donut. The lemon icing was good, despite being on an undercooked donut. The melted icing soaked into the donut making it fairly soggy, as well as a humongous mess to eat. I opted for a knife and fork approach which kind of undermines the convenience of a donut. The chocolate donut was also undercooked as is the fault of a quick made to order establishment, so while not great, I understood why. I don't think this place is bad by any means but I think I'll wait to come back in hopes of having a better experience. read more

I am thrilled that this came to town, and that it's worth the hype! We went on the Sunday of opening weekend. We waited for a half hour, but it wasn't bad because the staff was great. They handed out menus on line, brought around warm cinnamon donut samples a few times, and were just really warm and kind. The inside is small, but is really cute. They have a serve yourself coffee station. The menu is quite large but you can also make your own. We ate them right away and boy were they good! I got the beach (vanilla icing with cinnamon sugar). Food Peanut Butter & Jelly Donut: (3/10) This was the doughnut we were most excited for, but unfortunately, it greatly disappointed. The peanut butter was salty and didn't have a classic peanut butter taste. The jelly was way too sparse and we didn't even taste it. The doughnut itself was fresh and moist, like the rest of them. Chocolate Explosion: (8/10) A chocolate lover's dream! Our doughnut was lacking some cookie crumbles (only had them on about a quarter of the donut). The frosting was perfectly sweet and the cookie crumble with fudge drizzle brought it to the top. Our favorite of the 6! Blueberry Lemonade: (6/10) For people who aren't a fan of fruity desserts, this was still a good choice. The blueberry flavor was was spot-on, but the lemon was faint. Coconut Island Bliss: (7/10) Chocolate and coconut worked well together and was reminiscent of Almond Joy candies. French Toast: (8/10) This doughnut was a hidden gem; we weren't expecting it to be as good as it was. The glaze had an excellent maple syrup taste and the doughnut itself had a crispy outside and soft, warm inside. Smore's: (6/10) This was a good doughnut, but the marshmallow drizzle and graham cracker crumbles didn't add any flavor to it, so it just tasted like a chocolate frosted doughnut. Not really worth $2.25 for a small, normal doughnut. Service: (8/10) We got these doughnuts during the COVID-19 pandemic, so we couldn't exactly dine-in and get a personal experience. We ordered online for curbside pickup and called as soon as we got to the shop. We received our doughnuts almost immediately. Once you get further up the line there's a glass barrier, behind it is where the staff makes the donuts so yuh can see how donuts are made. I think that, that is really cool.
