Chicken Pho

Second time. Soup was watered down. BF had clumps of sweet sauce in his noodles. Worst part we both were sick last night. Something in the kitchen seemed off. I'd rather a restaurant close for a day than try to deliver. Tables and floor were sticky.

Flavorless beef brisket

1×Crying Tiger (Beef Brisket) - it was cooked to an appropriate done-ness but, it lacked flavor, was chewy, and there were pieces that were just fat. There was a decent amount of meat given, but you could just go to the grocery store, get the cheapest steak they have, throw it in a pan and slice it. Honestly, that'd probably taste better. 1×Chicken Yellow Curry - This was the saltiest curry I've ever had in my entire life. Okay amount of veggies and chicken, but the coconut curry sauce itself tasted like it was from a can and very, very salty. Inedible. I rinsed it off in water so I could dilute it somewhat. 1×Crispy Pork Belly - Absolutely, soaked in the oil they fried it in. You could only taste the fried taste and not that it was pork belly. I wanted to support a Pho place but this was one of the worst meals I've had. The rice that came with the dishes was wrapped in tin foil, and was hard as a rock. There is no way it was cooked the same day. The one container of rice that wasn't wrapped in tin foil, had a little brown speck in it that could not be identified. This was just white rice so it wasn't a seasoning.

Pad Pahd Thai

Customer service was good, clean place, smells good. I got the pad Thai and to be honest I've had better, this pad Thai is MID. Gave 3 stars because of the food. Could have more flavor and portion is "ight" for the price .. also the Boba is "Ok" it's more of an icy/smoothy than an actual boba.. still need to try the pho so if that will be good I'll edit this review . I would only eat at this place if the other spots close at 2:30 and I want food at that moment. 3/5 overall is "Ok"

Great service and good great so far. They have dine in or carryout. I haven't tried their Boba but plan on it at some point as well as the Pho.

Papaya Salad

I placed a Togo order and the process was very smooth. Parking was very easy. The food didn't have the authentic flavor I was looking for. Pad See Ew was soggy and the flavor wasn't there. The papaya was crunchy but also didn't have much flavor.

Lo Mein with chicken and veggies

Yummy food with great prices. My husband had the lo mein with chicken and veggies and I had the fried rice with chicken and pineapples and added vegetables for $1. My meal was $8.75 and my husbands was around $10. I also had the pineapple boba tea, which was $5 something I don't remember the exact total. The food is super yummy and flavorful. The portions are also very large which is nice because I took mine to go. We didn't have to wait long for our food, maybe about 10 minutes. My boba tea is so yummy. It's the perfect pineapple flavor and not too sweet , and just the right amount of boba. The total was $25 for everything. Great price for two big meals and a boba tea

Love their Pho. Good customer service. I get the Pho Ga (chicken). I'm a huge fan of the broth.

Had beef pho takeout and what other places call summer rolls. Was a solid choice, I'd eat here again

Fantastic. Have come more than once and it's consistently good. Pho, boba, egg rolls, fried tofu, drunken noodles... always good!

It was good. The staff was nice. It was clean. It's not the best pho ever, but it's good on a chilly day.

You can tell everyone's on the same page, which makes the whole experience feel intentional and smooth. The small shared-plate setup is perfect if you like trying a little bit of everything, and every dish hits with flavor and creativity. Pair that with really solid, well-crafted drinks and you've got a place that's easy to settle into and hard to leave. Intimate, flavorful, and full of personality--The Dragon Room is definitely worth every penny.

We entered a buzzing yet not busy dining area and were met with a wait ranging from 15 minutes to an hour. While waiting for our table, we both ordered a drink, both of which were strong but lacking in the flavors they boasted on the menu. We were seated about 30 minutes later. After another 20 minutes or so, we had received no further service. It was like a server hadn't been assigned to our table. As tempting as the food sounded, we ultimately had to leave because the service was so poor. 929 Kitchen was just down the road and saved the day by having a table available immediately. Won't be returning here or giving further business to Bourbon or Black Rooster in the future.

It is located in downtown Asheville so there is no immediate parking lot but there are some places nearby or street parking, The inside is very modern and there is seating both inside and outside. Our server was very friendly and service was very prompt! My family got the Lo Mein with Chicken, Chow Fun with Beef, Sautéed String Bean, Buddha Bean Curd Rolls, Crystal Shrimp Dumplings, and Spicy Chicken. I loved the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings! The wrapper was very tender and the shrimp filling was delicious. It tasted very authentic to me. I also loved the Sautéed String Bean as it had the right amount of garlicky sauce. The Lo Mein was made with thinner than usual noodles but still tasted good. I think the Chow Fun tasted a bit off. It kind of tasted a bit sweet and like drunken noodles at some points as opposed to the traditional smoky flavor that the dish has. The rice noodles that were used were also thin as opposed to the usual wider noodles. As for the Spicy Chicken, it tasted solid. I liked the slight crisp before biting into each piece and it was not really spicy. I definitely tasted the cumin (I am not a super big fan of), which is a popular flavor found in Szechuan cuisine. Overall, I think this is a nice spot for some Chinese food, especially being near the mountains which is more isolated. I would probably rate it a 3.75/5 stars if I could. I wish chicken feet were part of their dim sum menu (it is pretty small and there are no rolling carts in case anyone is wondering). I do think some flavors of the food I tasted seem to cater a bit more to the Western taste palate (my parents agree as well), but I enjoyed my time here.
