When I arrived, there was self check in, but I could not for the life of me, find my cabin. They are not as well marked as they should be on the outside. I drove at least 3x around the property before going inside. The one person receptionist was on the phone and didn't address me for about 10 min as someone was complaining on the phone about a prior visit. I just really wanted to get to my room, so interjected and asked for a map. The room Itself was cute. Two stories, kitchen with items needed to enjoy your stay, cozy bed, wood burning fireplace, bath. The TV volume was stuck on one volume and so we could not use the TV. The walls are paper thin. We were playing cards at 10:30 pm one night with me and my 6 year old, no tv, nothing and pretty quiet and someone next to us started banging on the wall to be quiet. Another night, the people on the opposite wall had at least 6-7 people partying all night. I mean it is what it is. But don't expect quiet. These cabins are wall to wall and that was a huge turn off for me. Another night the same lady I presume that was banging on the wall the first night actually came to my door and told me she needed to wake up super early and could hear us talking. I was nice about it, but wtf I paid for a room and want to be able to do what I want Including talking. Not partying, having a ton of people over, blasting music, etc. Just talking! I don't know how the resort would fix this except insulation or sound machines in each bedroom. The outside area has a cute play area, some fire pits and a cute play room with some games my son enjoyed. The pool and spa was completely closed for "cleaning" which was a let down. We did eat at the restaurant twice and the same receptionist I saw at check in was our waitress. She ended up being very nice. The food was not horrible and there is not much around. On checkout, the room automatically locks right at 11am. I had been loading my car and had almost everything loaded. My son shut the door and we got locked out. I had my phone and car keys in the room. The front desk was not open so we had to walk around the property and found a cleaning person to let us in. Frustrating.

He was also very knowledgeable on Zion as we were trying to figure out parking and how early we needed to get there, along with renting hiking equipment, and other advices on making our Zion trip less chaotic.

It's got everything you need to rest your sore body after a long day at Bryce and hop in a pool before you continue on to Zion only 45 minutes away. There is a restaurant (see my other review for deets), pool/hot tub, gas station and golf course right on the property for you take advantage of for all you need to recuperate! The king size bed was so comfortable and the showers had great pressure and super warm. The room was very spacious and the AC was quiet but really pumped out cool air! Loved that we could access from the front our the back patio that faced the pool so we didn't have to go all the way around the complex. Only bummer is it's really close to the highway and sometimes you'd hear the occasion noise of cars but other than that it was a perfect stay.

The staff sent me a text asking if I wanted housekeeping, since I guess it's the off season, even though it was 4th of July weekend. Responded as yes, never got them. Had to go to the front desk every day for something, even though I paid over $100.00 a night to stay there, in their "off season." No breakfast bar, because of it being their "off season." Half of the hotel is inexcusable for ADA, stairs halfway down the hall. Ice and vending machines out of order. Half of the equipment in the gym broken. Half of the games in the arcade broken. Swimming pool emptied during our stay. Just a truly lovely experience. Guy cleaning downstairs just moving the broom around one handed, not caring if he got anything or not. Guess this is what you expect from a hotel in the "off season." Coming from Las Vegas, where we have the best hotels and staff on earth I guess it's too much to ask for those standards. Yet we stayed at the Hilton right down the road from the Lodge last year, and guess what? Felt like we were in an actual resort. The night staff girl was amazing though. She actually seemed to care, but she could only do so much as she was the only staff member there from 3:00pm-11:00pm. She deserves a raise.
