I found Dental Designs of Maryland (White Marsh Location) on Google and I am kicking myself that I haven't been here sooner! For context, I had a pretty gnarly dental experience that kept me away for two years (for shame, I know. Don't judge me), so I had a lot of trepidation going back after so long and after such a terrible experience. From the moment I walked through the door and was greeted by the biggest, brightest smiles, I knew I was in the right place. This office exudes warmth, inclusivity, and care. I was immediately taken into the back (I pre-filled my forms, so no wait time at all), given a tour of the office, and was informed every single step of the way to help me set expectations. Not only was Dr. Santos extremely knowledgable but her and her team were also kind and informative - I knew what was going to happen, what was happening, and what next steps would be each step of the way. I've already convinced my husband to make an appointment too! I have a long journey ahead (wisdom teeth removal, braces, and cleanings) and I couldn't feel more at home with this practice. I trust them completely to take great care of me on this journey to reinvent my smile! I'd give them 100 stars if I could!

Dental Designs it is, and I think I chose wisely. The staff was so pleasant when I arrived. I even got a quick tour, which included a peep at their 'molar making machine'. No that's not what it's called, but I don't remember its technical name. It's like a Dental 3D printing machine that makes teeth (an easy description, but in a nutshell). Can you believe that?! Crazy. Dr. Dezwirek and the whole team were on point. Of course, as a new patient I had to take Xrays. When Dr. Dez examined me he had already reviewed my XRays. And when Cindy cleaned my teeth I realized she too had reviewed my XRays. They were all on it. What's that saying, you never get a second chance to leave a first impression; they left a good one.

I immediately called my regular dentist of over 45 years. Unfortunately for me he is in a new practice and they don't take our insurance. He did see me however & I paid cash so I knew what I needed done to fix the tooth. I came home and started calling the dentist he recommended to confirm they accept my insurance. None did. I finally found White marsh dental & Dr. Kelmenson. I arrived at the office early to fill out any additional paperwork and was promptly greeted & checked in. I quickly went back to get X-rays done and then into a chair. The dentist reviewed the X-rays and said it could be fixed with a new filling but it will likely need a root canal since it is broke just at the gum line. I explained to Dr Kelmenson I don't do well with needles especially coming towards my face/mouth. He said I could get nitrous oxide to help relax me. I just had to pay out of pocket for the nitrous. Ok, I was fine with that. He put the mask on me and take a few deep breath's and he was able to get the novocaine injection done and move right into fixing my tooth. He explained everything he was doing and respected me being a medical professional so he could explain things in medical terms and I understand. Excellent bedside manner. I am definitely going back for my 6 month cleaning and as tough as it is to find a good dentist.... I have found 2 Dr Kelmenson here and my previous dentist. Overall I would recommend this practice4/5 I'm only taking a star off because it's hard to get an appointment. I am used to having a few Saturday hours but this office doesn't.

I felt comfortable throughout the process and was really happy with the care I received. Before the procedure, I was quoted my copay and paid the full amount upfront, totaling $640. About a month later, I received a bill for $2,340 for the same procedure, and none of the payment I had already made was reflected. After calling the billing department, I found out the issue was caused by an insurance filing error on their end. They submitted the claim only to my secondary insurance instead of processing it through my primary insurance first and then the secondary, as they were supposed to. I had already provided all of my insurance information before the procedure, but I provided it again and was told the issue would be corrected. Unfortunately, it has now been 8 months since the procedure and this still has not been resolved. I checked with my primary insurance and found out Aspen Dental finally submitted the claim to them in March 2026 -- six months after my procedure. However, they still have not submitted the claim to my secondary insurance as of today. I genuinely cannot think of any reasonable explanation for why it would take this many months to properly submit an insurance claim, especially when all information was provided in advance and again afterward upon request. At this point, it honestly feels like an attempt to push responsibility for a bill onto me that should have been processed correctly through insurance many months ago and after I had already paid my quoted portion upfront. While I truly appreciated Dr. Kim and the clinical care I received, the billing and insurance handling experience has been incredibly frustrating, stressful, and disappointing.

I have routinely had difficulty getting specific details out of dr. cho and his staff about procedures, and even basic scheduling. I have been coming to this office for over a year and it has become much worse as time has gone on. Recently, I called in with an urgent need after a filling (done by dr. cho) failed within a month of getting it. This left my tooth exposed and painful, which I communicated to the scheduling staff. After communicating this, I was given options (which were poorly explained) and we agreed on getting a pre-authorization from my insurance which I expected would not take much time. After waiting 24 hours to hear a response, I called the office back. When I asked about the status of the pre-auth, the scheduler laughed and told me the pre-auth would take two weeks to come back. I was also told that I would not be able to get the work scheduled for at least that much time as the dentist was going on vacation the next day. I'm not sure what was unclear about "I am in pain, and I need to have this fixed as soon as possible" but I did not get the impression that this office is concerned with urgency in any way shape or form. If you are in pain, or you think you might be in pain and need work done quickly and reliably, Dentalworks is not a good bet for you. Best to find another office that will actually follow-up, communicate with you on even the most basic level, and treat you as if your oral health is actually important to them.

I reached out on the website to set up an appt. and received a call back that day from Dr. Pete and he has been my point of contact from day one. I've never dealt with anyone, but him. I had met with a few dentists prior to meeting with him and felt very confused with what we should do for our son. From the moment I walked in, he was friendly, welcoming, and extremely professional. He explained things easily and took the time to explain every step of the process and made sure I was informed throughout. I really liked when he had the work done, my son was his only appointment, which was a 4-5 hour process. We never felt rushed and knew that he was going to be Dr. Pete's focus that day. The results of my son's dental work went well beyond our expectations. His teeth and smile has never looked better! The attention to detail, artistry, and care Dr. Pete Diacoloukas brings to his work is truly outstanding. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a skilled, compassionate, and trustworthy cosmetic dentist! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a high level of precision and care.

There's a sign on the door saying if you are waiting longer than 15mins to let them know which we didn't rhat day they brought both of us back pretty much right away and at the same time. When I made the appointment I explained what needed to be done for my daughter which there was a mix up but no big deal. We ended up being there for over two hours which again shit happens. I noticed that instead of staying with one patient the dentist would bounce from cubicle to cubicle but I let it go. Next visit for me was on Halloween which I was in the waiting room for well over 30 mins then brought back and waited in the chair again when the dentist did finally come in I asked how long the filling would be because I had a urgent appt for my daughter in Delaware that I needed to attend to which would have been fine if everything was on time which again I get it things happen and I could have canceled but he told me it wouldn't be a problem and they would have me out of there in time but then in the middle of fixing my tooth one of the machines stopped working so he said they would finish it the next time I came In so I left with a gritty feeling that is still there. The next visit was for my daughter because she was having pain in her mouth so they take her back right away but she keeps texting telling that no one has come to see her yet so after 50 mins I ask to speak with the manager who comes out and says she'll go see what's going on and let me know well she never comes back out but my daughter who is 17 later tells that that she heard her ask the dentist what should I tell the mom and he said tell her we're almost done when in reality he never even started working on her and to boot he did the wrong damn tooth. After that I asked for all my ex rays and said that we would not be returning not that they really cared. Also the one older receptionist is very, very rude each and every time almost like you are annoying and bothering her for asking any kinda questions. Our first visit we were told they would bill the insurance and let me know what I owe and the 2nd visit on Halloween which is when they never even finished the work on my tooth she told me the estimated amount would be $40 something and wanted me to pay now. When I questioned her she gave me major attitude. I paid what I could because my card declined some of it due to the bank earlier that day doing a check for $1500 for my rent instead of the $1050 which I didn't notice until my card declined at the dentist so I was confused why it didn't pay it all and she was treating me I purposely did that. I assumed I'd be billed again like the first time but I wasn't. So the last time we went again when we left they said they'd bill me and off we when with a sore tooth still not fixed. So now my daughter is all paid up but they keep billing and calling me over the $39.66 for the work they never finished and how they are going to take legal action which please do because my mouth will prove you never did what you were supposed to do. And what dental office hops around from patient to patient every visit? I've never seen anything like it and I would seriously think twice about coming here. I will blast you on every social media platform yelp or anywhere I can leave a review. I had no intention on writing this but the fact you keep harassing me for 39 dollars when the job was never completed s just in sane to me. Bring on the legal action because I'm ready!!
