At all. It is way outside his comfort zone but Mr. Edwards and the rest of the instructors are excellent. Our instructor (Mr. Edwards) had my husband at ease within 10 minutes and it's been smooth sailing ever since. Mr. Edwards is excellent - he clearly explains the steps as well as showing us. He is also very patient and does not move forward until we are comfortable with the steps. I will be continuing at Arthur Murry after the Groupon coupon is finished and I highly recommend this studio.

I…read morecame to Dance Stop at this location (now relocated to 4400 Roswell Road) and was under the tutelage of Mrs. Kathy (for beginners), Miss Amy (adv. beginners), and for a little bit, Miss Forsberg (pointe). I adore Mrs. Kathy; she is an incredible instructor and so good with all the kids. She is very kind and always encouraged students to perform at the utmost of their ability and it was understood that it is always a pleasure to have Miss Kathy's praise. Miss Amy, however, was a different story. She was always 15 minutes late, and came to class with her hair in a ponytail. She would then proceed to take another 5 minutes to put up her hair and yell at the kids whose hair didn't stay in place or wasn't in a tight bun. (I found out later that she brushed her teeth at the beginning of every class...and it took 15 minutes. Hm...?) We spent another 15-20 minutes stretching, doing lots of exercises from before and then -maybe- learning one new move. I didn't learn much after several months, and that was when I started to dislike ballet from the boredom of every class. (FYI Amy left a while back. Hmm, I wonder why?) I moved onto pointe, and I loved it under Miss Forsberg (we called her "Madame"), until my toes started bleeding and I had to stop dancing all together. They say that you have to go under all this training for muscle memory, and yes, it does take muscle memory to become a good ballerina, but I thought it excessive. The studio also offers jazz and modern under Ryan Hall. What do I think? I think you should take your money and time to Atlanta Ballet, not here. I've been to both and AB is far superior in formal training and seriousness.

I did go to some of the dance classes and I did observe the exordinary teaching by Ms.Kolie ! Most of all at the end of the season the recital was absolutely fresh , true classical ballet.! It was wonderful to see the progression in the learning and talents of all the ballerinas at night. It was just amazing and very well done and I can't say enough about the classical technique that is taught at the school with beautiful ballet music . It is what ballet should be and what dancing ballet should be all about. This is a school , that is wonderfully right! I can't wait to see what next year has in store for our little grand!

She told me to stop in for a toddler class to see if my daughter and I would like it..... well we did! My daughter left that day ready to return for more. The studio is in a great open location. The classes are affordable and the girls love being in the presence of Ms.Kyri. Even during quarantine, we switched to zoom classes and some days were harder for my daughter because she desired to be in class versus practicing on a computer but Kyri kept the girls entertained. This is the studio from which my adoration for dance sprung. I started here 15 years ago as a 13…read moreyear old who had never taken a dance class in my life. I was nervous for my first class, but they took me and treated me no differently than the girls who had been dancing since they could walk. I was hooked. I danced here all through middle school and high school. I was well prepared for college level dance classes. I all but lived here from ages 16 to 18. Their niche is definitely school age from kindergarten through 12th grade. Since I was diagnosed with epilepsy and officially off the roads for 6 months, I find myself back in the neighborhood for the next 6 weeks. I stopped in today asking about adult classes. There were only 3 and none of which were at convenient times. I explained my situation and was offered the opportunity to take class with the older teens. I'm the exception, not the rule. The fact they were willing to accommodate me reminded me why I loved this place so much. I hadn't set foot in there for a decade and it was like I had just taken class yesterday. Maybe it's my nostalgia talking, but I would whole heartedly recommend this studio to anyone with kids looking for a solid studio. It's small, so the attention isn't spread out. Jonnie, the owner, is wonderful and always happy to help where she can. There's a performance company for the more serious students. There's a relatively small group of teachers so it's easy to get to know them and get used to their style of teaching. Should I have children and find myself living here, I'd send them to this studio without a second thought.
