Came in for a late dinner on our stop through in Kamloops and should have known better than to order the chicken souvlaki at a pub but it was one of the very few healthier options besides the salad and it came with a Greek salad. I asked the waitress if she recommended that over the grilled chicken and avocado burger but as the burger came with fries, she said the souvlaki was more popular. I was shocked when she asked me if I wanted soy sauce with my Greek dish, is that a thing that perhaps I am not aware of? Also ordered the classic margarita but in hindsight probably would have been better to refrain, as it is a pub and probably known for beer or craft ales. read more

Nice neighbourhood pub. Priced better than the other chains in town. I tried the Mile High Burger they had on special for Saturdays and it was pretty darned good (deal & flavour-wise). It was indeed piled high with toppings, and the big side of fries didn't hurt either. My partner had the parmesan crusted chicken burger and said it was pretty good too, so there you go. read more

I have never tried the food here (yet being the key word), but the several occasions I've been there have been a treat. I was served by (I'm assuming) the owner, and he was nothing but courteous. I wasn't sure which beer to try (as there were several I've never had) and he let me sip-sample a few, where I fell in love with my now favourite beer, shocktop. Very efficient service as well. I can't provide any reviews regarding food and beverage since I was never greeted, let alone served, at this establishment. My group and I walked in and were promptly ignored, even though I made eye contact with one of two waitresses on staff. We were there for ten minutes and left because we were ignored. The pub was not crowded at all, so I never could figure out why they didn't want our business. We ended up going to another bar where we were promptly served. read more

I can't tell you about the food or drinks. I can tell you about the service. My wife and I have been twice. Both times we waited for about 10 minutes for service but finally left. Saw the waitress but she never gave us service. First time the pub was busy but the second time the place was about 1/4 full. The waitress served the people at the table next to us but ignored us. She served people who came after us but again not us. I spoke to the bar tender and let him know how I felt and he apologized. If these waitresses live on tips for good service they will starve to death. read more

Nice place, loud (but that is to be expected at a pub) and the food was decent, not amazing. The pub layout is not what I am used to at all... very open, not any seperation between groups which would be perfect for a big group of friends. Unfortunately we went on a Saturday night and the place was full. We ended up sitting outside which was very nice; however, we didn't see much of the waitress. When she was around she was very sweet and accomodating. read more

I am relatively new to Kamloops and, upon asking a lady friend where one in my age group (I'm a "little" older LOL) should go to find others in similar circumstance, she said the best in town is Duffy's. It is a bit out of the way for me as I live and work on the North Shore, but she was right! My first visit was tentative....as I popped in for a quick drink and nibble before heading to Aberdeen Cinemax for a late movie and it produced not only an affordable tasty snack but I immediately found a new friend! My second and third visits almost two and four weeks later respectively were special...as my server not only remembered me by name but my order as well! I'm sold on Duffy's as my new fave place! read more

Friendly and welcoming staff. Food is what you might expect for this type of establishment, simple, basic but nothing to rave about. Service was fast. The worst part of it was that the whole place smelled of stale smoke. I'm not sure why because there is no smoking inside. Maybe it was stale beer I was smelling, or the patrons brought it with them on their clothing but it certainly wasn't appealing. I'm not a big fan of sports bars in the first place, and the occassional loud outburst of patrons cheering on their teams was a little bothersome, but I guess I can expect that, so it's my bad. read more

Had lunch here, it was really good the food was fresh tasting and our server was excellent with a great personality. The place was clean a little dark but hey it's a pub. Only downside is the tiny parking lot but that's not their fault and there is good parking on the street if you have a larger pickup. I have recommended it now several times since I went. read more

Our party of 4 sat down in the pub and was greeted by a server who asked for our drink order and returned with them in a reasonable amount of time during a busy time (5:30pm). It went downhill from there. 2 orders of the Thai Chicken wrap were ordered and requested to not have the tortilla included with the side being salad which would indicate a fairly good-sized salad with the same ingredients minus the tortilla being served; this was not the case. The salad came on a medium-sized plate with the dressing and peanut sauce on the side and the only noodle I could find was about 1 and cut up in small pieces and very little chicken - disappointing to say the least. The other order was the same wrap and he had it as a wrap so was left not feeling hungry after consuming it. The other dish that was ordered was the prawn and avocado salad which was nothing to brag about either as ingredients were very sparse. The server did not come around and check on us and ask how our meal was, nor did she see that our glasses were empty where normally the question would be asked if we would like another beverage. We felt the service and the server's demeanor was poor. At the end of our meal we expressed our concerns and she spoke with her manager about a whopping 20% discount (approx $3) off of the salads. We were unhappy and hungry when we left the restaurant. This has not been our experience in past visits so do not know why this one was so poor. read more

My husband and I frequent "Duffy's" and we find the food awesome...but recently there is a new manager...and he drove us crazy. He was over bearing....and was trying to do the waitress's job ...instead of letting them do the good job that they always do! Hope he get's it soon. read more
