My husband and I popped in for a quick drink and bite after skiing. We were quickly sat but told that we had one hour to order and eat before our table was reserved for the next group, so we immediately ordered. Then after getting our drinks and waiting 20 minutes we were told that the kitchen had a maintenance issue that would be another 30 minute delay... so we asked to get our check and skip the food. The waitress continued to serve other tables drinks and completely ignored us. After another 5-10 minutes we put cash on the table for our beverages and left without a single word from the staff. Stopped in on a Thursday night, we were one of the only tables, so service was very quick. Good vibes, very Irish. We tried the fish tacos, which were mostly breading, minimal fish. They were not crispy, more like a corn dog. The taco toppings were yummy- loved the mango salsa. Carne asada tacos were better, well seasoned. Margaritas were small, but not terrible. read more

Super fun place! A group of us popped in to ring in 2016 and had a great time! The upper level has a couple dart boards and some other games to accompany the comfy couches and chairs. The staff was super friendly and just the right amount of sarcastic for us! Only downside was that the kitchen was closed so all we could do was drink. Luckily, the general manager happened to be serving our area and was kind enough to see if the kitchen could make anything at all. He came back and let us know that they could do poutine but not much else, the group went for it! All in all, great little spot in the village! read more

The Korean Beef Noodle bowl for dinner was filling and tasty. At 22 $Can it was acceptably priced. A $7 can of Stanley Park Ale topped it off. Adam our server was great. At 6:00pm on a Saturday night we were able to walk in, sit down and got served immediately. Good place. read more

Somewhat dreading having to eat another dinner in Sun Peaks, we decided to go to Morrisey's. After our previous dinner at Powderhounds, we did not go in with high expectations. We continued our plan of eating simple, hard to mess up pub food. The restaurant was rather empty, aside from the bar. We had already heard about the limited food options at the place, but considering very few reviews on Yelp of other places, we decided to give the restaurant a try because of it's lack of very poor reviews. It was rather hard to judge restaurants off Yelp and Trip Advisor based on people giving places 4 stars because "the chicken was served hot." We saw the very limited and very heavy food menu and considered walking out, but with limited other options, I decided to order the chili. The chili was rather bland and was sub-par, until I doused it with a ton of hot sauce, which then became rather tasty. The jalapeno cornbread was outstanding and by far the best part of the meal. We left wondering why Sun Peaks had such low-end and overpriced food. Given the village looks nice, the mountain is decent and the hotel we were staying in was beautiful and opulent, it seemed puzzling why the restaurant quality was severally lacking. The service was good and our waitress was pleasant. I'd maybe go back for the jalapeno cornbread. I am happy that we only have one dinner left. read more

I enjoyed eating here. One of the better spots in Sun Peaks by far. The service was surprisingly fast and our waiter, Rustee, was constantly tending to our needs. Drinks were fast, refills were fast, and food came out hot and within a reasonable time. By far the quickest service I have seen in Sun Peaks for restaurant dining. Rustee was a great host, would definitely eat here again. read more

What a neat place with their games section that had billiards, darts and buck shot. It'd be good if they had more table games but I understand it'd be hard to keep them in good shape. Their drink selection is decent and I really enjoyed their holiday specials such as the polar bear one that had hot chocolate and a candy cane rim. read more

Stopped here with a group of six people (2 kids) for dinner. There was not a lot of staff working the dining area but our waiter was good. There is a reasonable drink menu and tap list. We ordered a few beers and dinner. The fish tacos were very good. The bbq pork sandwich was also very good. We went out looking for a beer after dinner, and we found a super fun party was happening in the game room at Morrisey's Pub. The game room has pool and ping pong tables, two dart boards and shuffleboard. The room was filled with dozens of 19 and 20 year old locals who work at the ski area who were enjoying "Sunday Fun Day". While the one server in the game room was extremely busy taking orders and delivering drinks, he was always polite/friendly and somehow managed to provide fast service despite being very busy. The game room is located in a separate room from the main Morrisey's Pub. The main room appeared to cater to an over-21 crowd. read more

We lucked out but stopping in here, looking for a place to watch some if the world junior hockey and warm up from skiing. Great atmosphere and our server Joel was awesome. We had the soup of the day and hot wings. Soup was a homemade potato corn chowder that came with delicious soft toasted focaccia bread. It was ok. The service is slow but it seems like they're more understaffed than anything. With only one waitress it's hard to keep up. Good luck getting drinks or food. 2 hours before some people got their food and none came out at the same time. The food was pretty salty but tasty none the less. Rustee was by far the best server in sunpeaks. He seemed to be working the entire floor and stilll we had no long waiting times. My friend and I quickly learned the majority of service in sunpeaks area is very very slug mode. We are from Vancouver so we are so Accustomed to having great fast service. That's just the way business works in van. So it was a very nice treat to have quick service here. The wings were great! read more

Great spot for drinks or dinner and Guinness poured properly is always a huge plus. Interesting and well-prepared (not to mention delicious) food items. Appies and entrees are way above average. Morrisey's gets four stars in its league: bar/food places in the skiing destinations. Atmosphere is friendly, the local beer was good. At dinnertime the place was full on the weekday of pre-Christmas week, and kitchen clearly could not keep up. Once the food came to our table (after way more than half an hour), it was quite good for its league. One star taken off for the water that very strongly smelled chlorine. With appetizers and drinks, budget $30+ per person for a dinner - you can get worse food for more in Sun Peaks. Minor notes: the Grand Hotel's WiFi works very well at Morriseys. There are pool tables in the room adjacent to the dining hall. Watching and interacting with both locals and visitors here proved to be entertaining. Overall: OK for a slow après-ski meal for beer drinkers. Kids seem to like the food, too. read more

Unfortunately the Morrisey has gone downhill in a bad way. It used to feature several dishes that refelcted it's Irish pub look and feel. No longer. While the service is still good the menu has shortened considerably. Very few choices, none really impressive. read more

Went into Morrisey's for a quick beer and nacho's with a friend on Dec 31 for lunch.. I was very very disappointed by the lack of servers and quickness. We were seated and 10 minutes to get a beer. Then we ordered nachos, after about 35 minutes we reminded the waitress of our order and she brought said our nacho's would be up soon. 1 hour 10 minutes we put 20 dollars on the table and walked out. No nacho's. Never going back....Poor poor service. A appetizer should be 10 minutes. read more

My mo burger was the size and consistency of a hockey puck, the kids mac and cheese was definitely Kraft out of the box, the blackened salmon sandwich was fair at best.
