    Half ass work, used parts installed instead of new that they charge for. I can say the paint department is really good.

After two different shops never complete my estimates for the hail damaged hood and the roof center section on my Subaru Forester and submit them to State Farm an employee from Cavender Subaru suggested I try Epic since they are "certified". I tried to book a appointment on their website email address (info@) and got the fallowing reply Mike Woolson Sep 23, 2024, 11:19AM to info@ I'm trying to book a consultation to get an in-person estimate on my vehicle but the website will not let me book an appointment on the calendar. Afterwards I emailed Gilbert to get on the schedule that was booked till February that is now probably April or even May 2025. I was informed that they needed paperwork from State Farm before I could be scheduled. OK fair enough! FYI I was told and always put the claim # in the email subject line. I was out of cell service for work but received a voice mail on 10/21 from Astrid at Epic saying "we have received an assignment from State Farm and I was wondering if you wanted to schedule for an estimate appointment" and to call them back. WHAT?????? Someone already knew I wanted to get scheduled? When able I emailed Gilbert 11/8 @10:46am about the call and a $3K price discrepancy between their estimate and what State Farm paid out to me in a check so I pay the repair shop. Are they tired of being screwed over so now I take it instead? Never heard back so I guess my work order was chump change and not worth their time or told me about their timeline as a get lost tactic! I wanted to see how this experience played out because I have a vehicle with paint damage that need TLC

    I have used Danny's once in the past, which is the reason why I chose to go to them a second time…read more. which was a mistake. I had a minor repair that needed to be done on my car, so minor that the estimated cost was going to be around $380. Very simple, easy fix as it was just a 3rd brake light. The man that gave me the estimate said it would be a two week wait to get in. no worries. I called after the two weeks and they said "I don't know who told you that but it's a 3-4 week wait", still no problem with that either, they also said since there was a wait that they would order the part and have it ready by the time they were ready for my car. They called me the following week that they were ready for my car, the same day I had been signed up for updates on my car through text. From the day I dropped my car off I had immediately gotten texts saying my car was "in process" not that it hadn't been started yet, to me it was not shocking just because it was such a small repair. After a week of getting the same text updates, I started to worry. I began to call, the receptionist was no help. Never got a call back from anyone and she said they tell everyone that it is a 4-6 week repair. I eventually showed up to the shop and one of the guys said he was going to "check on" my car and came back saying maybe they were going to have to order more parts which I knew was a lie and also told me I might get charged for anything they'd already done. I told him that I had been paying $100 a day on a rental and I'd rather have my car back if they haven't even started it. He told me to come back at 2 to talk to the boss. A little bit before 2, I got a call from I'm assuming the "boss" and he told me I could pick my car up. I asked for the amount I needed to pay to get it out and he said "nothing". I knew nothing had been done, hence why they couldn't charge. When I picked up my keys from the "boss", I was polite and said "thank you" which in response I got a sly "you're welcome". A week after picking up my car, I was still receiving "updates" on my car. Terrible experience as a returning customer.

    My MIL dropped her suv off on 12/2/24. She was told her car would be ready in three weeks. At three…read moreweeks, she called and they told her they needed to order some brackets for her bumper.. was told that her SUV would be ready in a week and a half. She received a text saying that her car would be ready the next day.. I called the next day to make sure her car was ready. It was not ready.. I was told by a very rude woman that the entire company had gone out of town for a funeral. I was informed that her car would not be ready until at least Monday.. I called Monday and I was told the car would be ready on Tuesday.. They called her Monday afternoon (1/13/25) they told her that her SUV was ready. It took six weeks for these people to replace a bumper. No one called or sent Text or anything to update us on the progress or anything. We made all the phone calls to find out the information we needed to know.. we also find it interesting that they did not say her car was ready until the insurance company sent them the check. Save yourself a lot of grief and just go somewhere else . (I believe her bumper does not look right and that the color is off) she's so happy to have a vehicle again. She does not want to return it to get it worked on anymore..

    Avoid Quality Body Works in Odessa - Dishonest Practices and Disrespectful Conduct…read more I brought my vehicle to Quality Body Works in Odessa and was originally quoted $7,328.94 for the repairs. I understood this was a preliminary estimate and that there could be slight increases depending on what was found during the process. I later received a call informing me that one of the parts they sourced from a junkyard couldn't be used and that a new part would need to be ordered, costing about $400 more. I agreed, assuming that would be the only change. Fast forward three months, I get a call saying the car is ready - and I'm handed a bill for $11,249.83. At no point after the single call about the $400 part was I contacted or informed that the cost would be increasing by another $4,000. If I had known, I never would have approved the work - the car isn't even worth $11,000. I would've paid the deductible and had it totaled out. When I tried to explain this to Bryan, the owner, he told me I either pay the full invoice or I wouldn't be getting the car back - no exceptions. He even stated he would just sell the vehicle to recover his costs. This level of customer disregard is appalling. What made the situation even worse was Bryan's behavior during our conversation. He repeatedly referred to a Black man as "boy" - highly offensive and completely inappropriate. That kind of language has no place in a professional setting (or any setting, for that matter). This experience was a tough lesson, and I'm sharing it so others can avoid going through the same. Quality Body Works in Odessa does not operate transparently, communicates poorly, and in my opinion, showed blatant disrespect. I can't recommend this place to anyone. A handshake means nothing here - get everything in writing and protect yourself

The reviews ARE true about Quality Body Works in Odessa & there's a reason this body shop is NOT APPROVED by major insurance carriers & they deserve less than a 1 star review. Do your research!!! They'll sell you on the ILLUSION that there's a "lifetime warranty" but after your experience, you'll never be back. I DO NOT recommend!!!
