While I came into the store to look for new tires, I also found out they do brakes and oil changes, which I needed as well (or at least thought I did). While being helped by a friendly (as I have found most people in Midland to be) and knowledge counter person, I learned I could get a free Brake Inspection. Long story short, I was expecting them to come back to me that all my brakes needed to be replaced. However, I was pleasantly surprised when they told me my brakes still have about half their life. By them not just charging me hundreds of dollars to change brakes I did not need, is huge in my book. Oh, by the way, I got 4 new BF Goodrich KO2's that I absolutely love. Once I picked up I noticed my service suspension light was on and told them about it they said I would have to schedule a drop off so they could look at it even after I told them it wasn't on before I had dropped it off. a few days later I'm driving and I hear something fall and I look it's my front reservoirs had called and had only been secured by a self tapper. The hundreds of oilfield services trucks with onboard air were a big help (think mesquite trees) I called and they said "come-on, be here by 6" I barely made it, and they stayed late to get me back on the road. Even had to collect a tire from another shop. When it's an emergency they seem to get it and make an extra effort to accommodate, cheers for to the extra effort team.

But once I dropped off my Jeep at 9 AM, everything went downhill. I was told my vehicle would be the first one worked on and possibly finished by the end of the day. That never happened. My Jeep wasn't touched at all. I understand that delays and emergencies can happen, but completely ignoring your customer is unacceptable. I called and texted multiple times the next day starting at 10:44 AM--no response. Hours went by with nothing. By 3 PM, I had to reach out again just to ask if my vehicle was even ready. At that point, I was done and told them I was coming to pick up my Jeep and the bumper I purchased. I no longer trusted them to do the work. I had to repeatedly blow up their phone and even track down another number online just to try to get a response--still nothing. That level of poor communication is beyond frustrating. Yes, they offered to give me the running boards for free because of the inconvenience, and the technician was apologetic when I showed up--but that doesn't make up for being ignored and left completely in the dark. This business might have potential, but their communication is terrible. If you're okay with being ignored and not knowing what's going on with your vehicle, then this is the place for you. I was not pleased with the quality of the tire installation, the tires were absolutely filthy with some sort of paste all around the rims of the tires, all tires had multiple chalk circles, none of the nozzles were tightened at all, and the air pressure was way off on all 4 tires by plus or minus 5 PSI. This type of service is just the way it is after Covid it seems. It's not just Discount Tire, it's any service at any business almost. It's exhausting and disappointing but it's here to stay I guess.
