    The Wyoming Outlaw breakfast

Great service! Only place that was open early in the morning in the area as our stop on our drive from Capitol Reef to Moab adventure. Everyone there was super friendly. I got the chicken steak breakfast and this itself I'd say is 10/10. It was still juicy inside, which when I order this at other places, the steak gets tough and dry. I'd say that's my highlight, the rest was okay. I'd say it's pretty decent and filling, overall we came out satisfied.

We drove from Las Vegas, and after visiting Goblin Rocks, we decided to eat here before heading to our hotel. All I can say is that the food was great. I ordered a plate with ribs, mashed potatoes, and corn, and it was very good. The staff were very friendly too.

Nice dinner with a lot of food offering. Brisket was good and... local beer was very interesting. Service was fast and nice. Ambiance ok with a local singer. Will be back!

We were passing through Hanksville on our Mighty 5 roadtrip and decided to stop here for lunch. Service was quick and attentive and the food was good. It was not too busy when we got there and the atmosphere was laid back. It's a nice touch to have a map with pins from visitors from all over the world. We liked walking through the restaurant afterwards taking a look at all the decor and pictures from locals.

We loved this place! Our waitress was great, super sweet, informative and overall a joy. The food was excellent too! Ordered steaks, ribs and kids meals. Bbq sauce was excellent too! Highly recommend!

We visited capital Reef and the area as I had not been out this way before. Going through Hanksville right about dinner time and this place appeared on places to eat in my area from seri. So we stopped in. We were greeted by a very welcoming voice as we entered. I do not recall his name but he made sure to greet every single person as they entered. We were quickly escorted to our table and introduced to our server. My wife and I decided to split a meal. We decided on the full rack of baby back ribs and I also added a bowl of cowboy beef stew. The stew (more like a soup was just ok) had a clear reddish broth loaded with veggies that seemed out of a can. It did have pieces beef and potato's. The Ribs were very tender with a sweet bbq sauce layered on the top half. For the sides We ordered the red skinned smashed potatoes with gravy and a salad. Tthe Ribs were good tasting, I liked them, very meaty and did fall off the bone. My wife did not care for the very sweet Sauce they were smeared in. The potato's with brown gravy were great and salad was fresh and as expected. All tables are started off with fresh corn bread muffins and honey butter, They were excellent. John Wayne would be honored to have this place named after him and I enjoyed the many different pictures of him and real life town people from recently to historical.

I'm a little late for this review. Visited the place a couple months ago on my roadtrip through Utah. After doing some off-roading in Hanksville we started looking for places to have dinner. This place popped up on yelp. Parking was easy to find. The host was friendly and showed us to our table. The ambiance is of a cozy western bar with lots of "the duke" (John Wayne) memorabilia. The service was fairly fast and the food was delicious. Specially liked the fried okra. Will be back here if we are in Hanksville again.

Hanksville is usually just a town we stop in to get gas on our way to Lake Powell, but we ended up coming to Duke's for dinner! Everything was delicious! In fact, we have decided we will definitely make this an annual stop and enjoy a great meal at Duke's! Everything was so fresh and was made from scratch. Starting with the moist cornbread, ice cold water served in a tin cup, and so many different delicious entrées to choose from, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. This a hidden gem! Make it your pit stop!

Given that there are very few restaurants, and many were closed for the season, we were grateful to find an open place at 3pm. The brisket salad was ok. Seemed like an interesting offering but the brisket was dry. The baby back ribs were very good. Good buttery corn and garlic mash potato sides. My wine was eh. Apple pie ala mode seem good.

Coconut cream pie with ice cream. Sorry, I took a bite of pie before realizing I needed to take a pic ;)

Food is good. Overpriced, but I guess understandable since there few restaurants in the area. Pretty small food portions.

The steak came out well seasoned and cooked exactly the way I ordered it, the baked potato was great, and the fresh vegetables (yellow squash, young green beans, and carrots) were excellent. Cooked exactly right and not cooked to mush. My wife had the Bistro Filets with garlic shrimp. The bacon-wrapped filets were quite large and cooked medium rare exactly as ordered. The two shrimp were just okay. Our server was Amanda, and she was awesome! She just did a really good job to take good care of us. Attentive, funny, and efficient. Now the Inn review: Our King room with jetted tub was a really good room. Spacious, with a great view to the east from a small balcony. The sunrise from that balcony is awesome. We could have done without the always -on nightlight in the bathroom, which is way too bright. The air conditioner was efficient, though a little noisy. The giant jetted tub was a real treat, though. Unfortunately, it was a little bigger than their hot water supply was designed for. Still very comfortable and nice though.

My room was meticulously clean, and keeping in the western theme, well appointed. I wanted for nothing. Except for a peaceful night's rest. That I got. My room was quiet and the bed comfortable. Though the building was full, every room occupied, I didn't hear a sound from my neighbors. Either there's excellent insulation, or the adjacent rooms housed church mice. Not a squeak was heard. A hearty breakfast awaits after you're finished with your dreams. Take advantage of it. It'll provide the energy you'll need for the days adventures. Broken Spur will be a pleasant memory. Allow yourself this opportunity make it so. Quick Tip: I've never had a bad meal in their restaurant. Even the locals stop in. It may be a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.
