We found this place by accident! We stayed at a lodge on Hell's Backbone Rd and luckily for us there is a restaurant on site. Stunning views. Indoor seating, but patio was divine. Our server, Shy, was kind and attentive. The dinner was delicious, a highlight of our road trip.

What an awesome and intimate dining experience. Nothing like eating a delicious steak that was sourced just steps away. We very clearly ordered the steak. It was interesting that they had select cuts and select ounces for your choosing. I had the 5 ounce tenderloin. Cooked to perfection at medium rare. We also sampled the pear & burrata salad and couldn't help but try the rabbit thighs. Interestingly spicy! But certainly not over the top. Overall, Unique and flavorful menu with attentive and kind staff. I wish I had a second stomach so that we could've tried the pumpkin crème brûlée. Next time. We were staying at the Boulder Mountain guest Ranch am grateful to have such close and delicious food. Boulder really is a unique place, and Sweetwater kitchen is tucked just far enough off of one of America's most beautiful roads to truly enjoy the solitude of southern Utah.

Great food and great service. What was even better is that the price were very reasonable. The other nice thing is it is a very dog friendly establishment Enjoyed the trip and the dinner. The views are amazing from the outdoor deck

WOW! So delightful, we absolutely LOVED eating here! We had some incredible appetizers (mushrooms with sausage and the beets) and the entrees were ON POINT (we got the new york, rib eye, and filet). The bread pudding was to die for! The service was wonderful and we even got to meet the local kitty. Great spot, would 100000% recommend it for anyone looking for some spectacular food!

Located off the beaten path, this hidden gem was a pleasant surprise. Their farm-to-table concept with locally sourced fresh vegetables, fruits, meats are healthy & very tasty. Beautiful scenery, friendly service , cozy ambiance. We really had a wonderful time. Reservation only. Open Fri-Sun. Highly recommend!

A hidden gem with amazing view and tasty food!!! Was nervous on our way there- it's a 3-mile detour on our way from Capitol reef to Tropic. It's well hidden in trees and mountain. It's totally worth the drive! Didn't try their famous burger- heard beef from their own ranch. But everything we ordered is amazing! It's attached to ranch guest house. Wish we knew this place earlier and could have chosen to stay here! Next time!!!

Very friendly waitresses are ready to take your order from a wide variety of options from steaks, to trout to barbeque with salads and soups for lighter fare. While they had a good number of local beers we opted for diet cokes. The wife had red pepper gouda soup and grilled cheese sandwich while I opted for the ribs with coleslaw and Jacked fries. The soup was marvelous in flavor and body. The sandwich on a very fresh foccasia bread with pesto and grilled cheese. Excellent. My ribs came with four bones seared perfectly, a freh greens Coleslaw and the fries with melted cheese and Jack Daniel's sauce. Amazing. While the fries could have been hotter and a normal half rack is 5 to six bones, I was completely satisfied by the flavors and textures. Terrific. We finished the Neal with a flour less cake with raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream. More than enough for two. My family stopped by here and our way to the National Parks and are so glad that we did. As my dad said, "this was the best meal of our trip so far", comparing it to fine dining in Seattle. Circle D is a relatively small establishment overall, and so we had to wait for a table for about 20 minutes or so. The owners and a young waitress whom they had hired a couple weeks before were the only front staff. All of them were very friendly. As far as the food, we ordered the smoked tuna Niçoise salad, the bone-in pork chop, and the lemon chicken. We also had the truffle fries for an appetizer. The TRUFFLE FRIES were super flavorful and packed with umami flavors. The cheese was perfectly melted on top giving it an extra rich and savory flavor. The SMOKED TUNA NICOISE SALAD was also excellent. The fish had a well-rounded smoky taste and the salad was HUGE. All of the vegetables were extremely fresh and crisp; they included tomato, avocado, red radish, green beans, and olives. While the smoked fish was the star of the dish, the baked potato was by far the BEST baked potato I've had in my life- crisp and browned on the outside and soft in the inside. The BONE-IN PORKCHOP was the highlight of the dishes. I don't normally like porkchop as I usually find it too dry but this one was super moist. The apple and parsnip compote was BOMB. This is the must-get dish if you come. The LEMON CHICKEN was wonderfully tender and came with the amazing potatoes as described above and fresh green beans. It had prominent olive and lemon flavors and reminded me of the chicken my mom bakes in the oven at home. The atmosphere is cozy; and homely. They have about 10 tables in total or so. It is clean and they have an open patio if you want to dine outside. Overall: 5/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere

My wife and I were looking for a place to grab dinner after a full day exploring at Bryce Canyon. We were starved. Looked at the other restaurant choices close to the park and were not impressed. Decided to drive 20 mins to Hatch and we're so glad we did. This place exceeded our expectations in every way imaginable. When we showed up, Mike was the only one trying to juggle all of the front end duties. He was running around waiting, serving, playing hostess, and clearing tables so he was super busy. He clearly communicated that they were short staffed that evening and let us know he would seat us shortly. We understood since it was obvious he was super busy, but we appreciated the communication upfront. When he finally came back around to take our orders, we asked him what he recommended. Mike recommended the Pastrami Burger with fries and the Cowboy Burger with fries because he said their fries are done differently than anyone else's. We took his recommendations and we weren't disappointed. Both burgers were the best burgers we have ever had before. Yeah, they were that good. Just incredible. Super high quality ingredients, perfect preparation and great presentation. He wasn't wrong about the fries either. We've never seen anyone prepare fries the way Red Dirt does them. Super delicious, too. The service and hospitality provided by John was also first class. Very attentive and personable. In the future, we plan to visit Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. When we do, a visit to Red Dirt Diner will be a stop planned into the trip!

I made the mistake of going for the Chicken & Waffles, just because so many reviewers focused on this dish, and because it seemed like a decadent, standout choice. Bad idea. The chicken was burnt to a crisp (I broken my knife trying to slice into it), and the waffle underneath was the opposite: flabby and dull. Plus it's a one-note dish. Not a lot of complexity compared to the many other interesting choices on this menu like the Dosadilla or Indigo Burrito. Try those instead. The sleeper hit? The loaded fries! Who knew? The "wild style" fries are fresh cut and perfectly cooked, and the toppings of pulled pork and sauteed onions and sauteed greens make for an outstanding combination. Even a tiny bit healthy. I barely tasted it in either dish, and although the shake was good the chicken & waffle was not: the chicken was extremely overcooked, dry, and the crust was just shy of burnt, while the waffle was covered in a VERY spicy sauce so I could barely taste the waffle (which was a good texture). I did not expect "bbq chutney" to be so spicy! My partner had the dosadilla and it had very little flavor, just in the fennel yogurt.
