    Small but cool outdoor seating.

Local dive bar off of S. Mason in Katy. Thursday is steak night, $12 will get you a ribeye, loaded baked potato and salad. It's a pretty good deal. On the weekends they have a crawfish boil, you can purchase it by the pound or get all you can eat for around $25. This past weekend was Dukes Memorial crawfish boil with live music. Crazy packed but we still had a great time. Sundays they have bloody mary, draft beer and bucket specials. They also have a shuffle board tournament most Sundays. The bar is smoke free and has been recently remodeled. The staff is friendly and the drinks are reasonable. Great place to go and have a drink.

    Pretty bartender making drinks.

Dukes is an icon on Mason road...correction...in Katy, Texas. What I love about Dukes is that it was always kinda "honky tonk" which later became "Dive Bar." This is the joint your folks may have gone to on a Saturday night while you were home with a babysitter. Ahh...but things have changed. In recent months Dukes has had a make over Mr Taffer would be proud of. Frankly it was time. It's time for the next generation to appreciate this iconic bar. Everything has been updated from a new entrance to staff wearing Dukes tees. As mentioned this may have been your folks bar back in the day but it's your bar now. They cater to Sunday football, local sports, great crawfish (children welcome) and are now NO SMOKING! This is huge for not on Dukes but for Mason Rd and the growing nonsmoking crowd. Looking for a weekend night out? Give the New Duke a try! You will be glad you did.

    This game is addicting!

Their happy hour is literally amazing. Bartenders are always friendly and outgoing, I usually seat outside in the patio since it's less crowded, so I have to make sure I order from the bar then it goes smoothly. Bars usually give me anxiety but being here doesn't give me bad vibes at all even with the darkness of this place manages to be able to have great energy. I can say this is my fav bar around the Katy area Edit: I forgot my card at home to pay for the tab and they accept Apple Pay. This is the best

The bartender asked me what did I want to drink then I said Crown Royal and she asked me, What's that?

It's Friday night and where is everyone? Hmmmm. Maybe hangout in another tavern. The oddest thing just happened, I ask the bartender do you have Crown Royal? Her response was, "what's that?" Hmmmm, no wonder it wasn't crowded here on a Friday night. Go figure...

Good friendly bar - shabby exterior belies the standard interior - give it a try- you'll enjoy.

Just simply a hole in the wall no good bar. Only stop in if you need a quick beer or shot and then leave asap.

Their homemade kimchi was perfectly balanced, I'd definitely buy a jar if I could The Ganjjajang was seasoned great, noodle texture wasn't too firm or soft. (Must try) The corn cheese is on the sweeter side but very cheesy Tansuyuk/ Sweet & Sour Pork was a large portion that was filling and airy Split amongst three people, we came hungry and left very satiated, spending less than 20 per person (tip included) This open casual spot is perfect for affordable late night meal, I'm looking forward to going back!

Every single dish was spot-on and the portions were quite generous. If I had to pick, the Japchae, Jajang Myeon, and Spicy Seafood Jjampong Soup were especially memorable. A thick noodle is used for the Japchae which held on to the flavor really well and provided more of a bite. The Jajang Myeon and Soup were absolutely bursting with flavor - bold, rich, and truly satisfying. They perfectly captured the essence of what these dishes should taste like: delivering a home-cooked taste at restaurant quality. As typical of Korean restaurant, every meal comes with an assortment of banchan. The kimchi was perfection and it seems like there are unlimited refills for the banchan. Let's not forget that this is a Pocha! There are lots of drink options and they are open late. This also makes for a great place for large groups and seating ranges from open tables or private booths for those looking for something more private. There is an open stage where I suppose open-mic karaoke used to take place, but as of 01/2025 management has put up signs stating it's currently not in use due to noise complaints from the neighbors. Still, there are plenty of private karaoke rooms to be put to use. This place is a hidden gem - it seems like a well-kept secret tucked away in this little neighborhood. I really hope the place gets more traffic in the future. They really deserve it! Overall really great place to come chill at with friends they've got the food, drinks, and karaoke covered.

As an adult, I always gravitate towards this place when I come home since I love the vibes and of course all the country music and dancing! Pros: -Drinks are cheap ($6 for a Tito's and seltzer holy F) -People who work there are friendly -Great people watching -Lots of dancing (line dancing and 2 step!) -Men will actually ask me to dance... say whattttt -Live music weekly There's cover charge at night after a certain time and larger cover charges on the big headliner nights. I would advise going on a non-headliner night, my experience was pretty bleh with one of those. Too many people and the opening act was almost two hours long. It was like Dante's Inferno on repeat every time a new song started and all the seats were reserved so I was forced to stand for 4 hours. That was not fun. Also for the hardcore country music fans, this place has been the starting place for superstar artists such as Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan!
