I came here on a random Friday night super last minute. Normally, I wouldn't think twice about driving this far out just for drinks, but I will travel for good company which is what I did. It is located deep into Katy, but not too far off from I-10. It is in a shopping strip with other businesses so parking is plentiful. They card you at the door and in you go. First thing that hit me was the smoke. I can't remember the last time I went to a venue in Texas that still allows it. I'm old enough to remember when all bars were like this so it is what it is for me, but for some it may be a deal breaker. The inside is large with lots of seating. It felt like a local hangout where alot of people knew each other. There was a DJ playing the night we went and they crank the music up. It made having a conversation a little hard. They also have arcade games, pinball, darts, and pool tables, We grabbed drinks at the bar and found a table. There are also waitresses that come to the tables as well and take drink and food orders. I was in a beer mood that day. They have a pretty nice selection of draft beers to choose from as well as bottled. The beer was cold and hit the spot. They also have a full bar and I was told the cocktail ordered was good. I wasn't hungry on this visit, but I did see people order food which looked decent. Their menu had what you would expect at a bar. Overall, a good time was had. The main thing that would bring me back is their ridiculously great prices here. We had multiple drinks and great conversation and the bill surprised me in a good way. I would come back if invited or I might check out their other location a little closer into Houston. read more

This bar is chill vibes and good service.. the only thing it lacks is security. Literally had a dude staring at me and my friend while we were playing pool. Felt bad for the only female bartender working that kindly asked him to leave. These days u can never be too careful and safety is paramount. Hopefully they can get more security. read more

She make going an experience with her great personality and attentiveness to getting orders right and prompt. Food is good and drinks are reasonably priced compared to others in area. read more

First time here tonight and overall I'd say it was a pretty good experience. I had a girl named Kim serving me. From the Jump she noticed I wasn't exactly sure if they just had bar service or if I could take a seat and have someone come up to me. She let me know how the place worked and took care of me for the rest of the night. She had a great attitude all through the night even with it being a Saturday and extremely busy. I'm usually not one for super busy Bars so would definitely prefer this place on a weekday instead of weekends, but if that's your vibe, THIS IS THE PLACE. Lots of people, good music, fun arcade games and GREAT drink prices. My only issue was how much drama was going on, my first night there and I watched 4 different fights break out, that has nothing to do with the establishment though and everything to do with just drunk people. But the security 100% did there job and diffused every situation before it got out of hand. I recommend everyone try this place out atleast once. Einsteins has always been a great neighborhood bar but part of being a neighborhood bar is having a consistent staff that people want to come see. It's like anytime they find a bartender that can handle the size of the place they get ran off. The only constant is Tracy in the afternoon who is lovely. There are a few bars like this one on mason and it seems like the good bartenders end up across the street at q bar. It's a bit more expensive at q bar but it's worth the price for the expedited service. I also want to mention that the 3 reviews about how rude Daniella is are obviously by the same person. I've only been served by her once but she was totally normal. Unlike the type of person who would create 3 different yelp accounts to complain about the limes they got with their beer. read more

Einstein has been our favorite bar for quite sometime, until today, a lady bar tender denied service for us, after making us wait for 10 minutes intentionally, while serving others who came after we came. She was very rude. not sure why the difference in attitude towards us..we have always been giving her decent tip. we are never going back there.. Worst experience ever. Nothing for me really. Be prepared to throw your clothes in the washer when you get home it's a smoke pit like a casino no joke. Bar area is very small and cramped. Nothing special in liqueurs bartenders are not prepared to go too special so don't ask for a scorpion it's not gonna happen. Karaoke is way too ))LOUD(( and the tall tables are very uncomfortable . They have a small dance platform enough to accommodate 3 couples but no one dances just sits and texts. Not a very good pickup place if you are looking to socialize unless you are 25 and under. Use this spot for a pit stop grab a cold bottle of something hit the restroom and move on. read more

Daniella was SOOOOO RUDDDUDEEE. i asked for tequila with limes she didnt serve lime which i asked her for when i asked for some she threw them at me and didnr even serve them in a plate. Daniella was not such a great bartender. She mentioned it's her first time. I got a couple drinks with my friends but I wanted a couple lemons and she deadass told my man's he could grab some if there was some from the toppings tray. When he told me there wasn't any lemons I said I specifically wanted lemons and she told him if there wasn't any there wasn't anything she could do. I love this place and all the bartenders have always been so sweet and very pleasing. She clearly wasn't trained right. read more

This is a great bar with good beer selection and one of the nicest collection of pinball machines I've ever seen. Too bad I have to avoid it or else I walk out smelling like rotten cigarette smoke. I'm talking about the kind that gets into your clothes and smells up the room of wherever you take them off. The kind that gets into your beard and takes days of washing to properly stop getting random ghost wisps of dirty old smoker breath in the wind. The kind where you can't sit on your host's couch after visiting. I've found that if I can get there on Sunday when they open, I can get a couple hours of good gaming in before it gets too bad though. The food was good and the overall vibe was cool! Me and my group was thrown out because the bartender felt threatened by us. After stating to the ONLY group of color that she would NOT serve us anymore because we did not tip enough and she work for tips and is the only bartender on duty. Not only did I tip on my card I left cash as well which she claim to not have gotten. The next day I called the manager Linda who rectified the whole ordeal. Not only did Linda discover that I tipped the lady on my card and cash from their cameras she also saw that the bartender took her time to serve us. Linda also spoke to the bartender who admitted that she said that to us. Linda assured me that the bartender is no longer employed there but needless to say I won't be back. read more

I just have to say that my Son & his bachelor friends went their before A Wedding that took place this past Halloween/2020. They were asked to leave stating the reason was because they were only playing Pinball Machines and they should leave and go to the other location. My Son told them he liked the Pinball Machines they had and didn't want to leave. He was the only white male in the group and the Groom and his friends were of "Color". After reading the comment left from another customer, I do believe this is why they were asked to leave. My son was in from Seattle and was very disappointed in the way they were treated at this establishment. read more

This place is WILD but in a good way! This is for sure a spot for the locals. You are allowed to smoke inside (I was shocked this was still allowed in 2021. Gotta love Texas) and it appears to have some slot machines for gambling. In addition to the slots, there are lots of other arcade games to play and pool tables. I LOVE this bar the waitresses are amazing!!! Annie and Brandy are the top two waitresses there and the atmosphere is friendly and homey. I cannot wait till they are smoke free! And become a bar AND GRILL so I can bring my baby! .... But don't order the burger. SO DISAPPOINTED it had no French fries.. Which is a must with burgers.. Einsteins has been around for what seems like forever. The place is simply OK for me. It is the only bar I know of in Katy that actually charges a $5.00 cover charge on weekends to get in. I usually avoid it during those times because it is too crowded and too loud. There are plenty of waitresses during these busy times to make sure you are taken care of, however it just isn't worth it to me. I enjoy going here when there isn't a band playing or it is just a DJ. The crowd is smaller and it doesn't feel so suffocating. The drink specials aren't anything really special. If anything they could come down a bit more - $2.00 for a pint of domestics during happy hour when the regular price is $2.50? Ooh, I can save $1.00 if I drink two! Nah, they need to make them decent discounts. Einsteins does have a nice selection of beers on tap, even some that you probably haven't heard of. If you can, get a sample or try out a new flavor. Take advantage of the possibilities! They have decent food too, though I have a general rule that I don't eat meat at a bar. Nachos, finger foods are ok in my book and here they are pretty good. Einsteins is a Katy staple. If you live here and haven't been at least once, you need to go. Now. After that, make your choice. To me it is just "ok", so 3 stars for you. read more

These negative reviews...very creative. Almost like they are all written by the same person... So here is the real story: the bad - It's a bar, and they smoke in it - so if that's an issue, you might want to find a different bar. the good - In the 20 or so times I've been over the last 2 years, I've found the waitstaff and bartenders to be friendly, professional and very good at their jobs. I've been there both by myself, and in very large (30+) groups, and never had an issue with my tab, or with keeping my drink fresh. The food is very good, I highly recommend the cheeseburger basket, add the fries they are worth the extra over the chips. The Great - best pinball collection in Houston and possibly the best in the state of Texas. Just a terrific group of old and new machines kept in pristine playing condition, and the cost of playing them is very reasonable, especially considering how they look and play. This is The Place to go if you are looking to play the newest, freshest, coolest pinball machines. Very highly recommended. read more

Just wanted to update my review! I have been very impressed each time I come to this bar. I tried the Sunday special which is a burger and fries for $4.50 and oh my gosh! This burger is amazing. I usually don't order burgers because I just don't like them but I went with the deal and was very pleased. I also tried the Bloody Mary for the first time here and I ordered it not spicy and it was probably the best Bloody Mary I've had in a very long time. The service is spectacular as well. Our waitress (Christy was her name I think) was great and speedy. I'm picky and she passed my tests. The band (Adrenaline) was good. I HATED the amount of smoke! My jeans, shirt, jacket and hair smelled HORRIBLE! YUCK! My eyes were burning a lot while we were there too. The patrons were very casual and not the best looking bunch (with the exception of one of the bartenders- He was HOT!) but granted I wasn't exactly dressed up the night I went either. The service was fantastic, the drinks were strong and the price was right. I just wish the air quality was better. read more

I regret ever entering this bar at all!!! my friends and i came in and had to wait over half an hour for service and we were told we would be served right there. and then to top if off after we were here FOR OVER THREE HOURS this guy came over with a completely bs and SEXIST rule where guys cant wear tank tops while there were over 4 women wearing tank tops. He told me that i have to leave for not wearing a shirt covering my sleeves. i have never been this disrespected and the unprofessionalism over this is astounding. AVOID THIS BAR AT ALL COSTS and there are so many better bars in the area. I will be getting in contact with my lawyers over this completely rude encounter. read more
