Not only did she help us to remain fantastically organized, introduced us to the ultimate A+ team of vendors, and ensure we made timely and smart decisions, but she quickly became a confidante, friend, and true partner during the planning process. Sara started us off from day one with a clear checklist & timeline leading up to our wedding weekend. She made sure that we immediately locked in the big vendors... introducing us to our visionary photographer, Jaymo James, to the extremely talented Jenna Wynne Band at Hank Lane, who brought such energy & set the tone for what was the best weekend of our lives; in addition to our florist, Ivie Joy who is a creative genius and the kindest soul, and to so many others we loved working with - we wouldn't have changed a thing! It is evident through these relationships and the meetings with all of our vendors how respected and cherished Sara is in the industry. Throughout the months leading up, Sara was ontop of the little details and made sure everything we wanted incorporated in our day came to fruition! Sara was quick to immediately help us select our major vendors right after we booked our venue. In what would have felt like a sea of options, Sara narrowed down for us who the best vendors would be for our desired vibe and venue. Her institutional knowledge, vendor connections, and innate ability to see (and ultimately execute) the ambiance you want to create is uncanny. Sara's checklist of wedding tasks kept us on track so that we never felt stressed in what is inherently a stressful process, and she was with us every step of the way. Not only did we have countless phone calls and zooms, but she also attended every floral, linen, band, lighting, and venue meeting (and even my last dress fitting), always knowledgeably answering my questions and suggesting new and creative ideas. She came up with the most amazing idea to line our venue's ceiling above the dance floor with twinkle lights and made it work with her connections to her lighting vendor. On wedding day, she took 15 months of me reciting tons of discrete details and ensured everything was executed PERFECTLY. I never felt stressed throughout the entire day. She was beyond on top of it and ahead of everything I could have asked for. Our vendors were all amazing (and we just got our photographs back, which we love, thanks to Sara's recommendation of Juan at Anthony Vasquez), and our friends and family thought it was one of the most fun and beautiful weddings they ever attended. She had "other brides" she was tending to, and I understood. However, when my time did come, she dropped the ball on the following tasks: -communicating with my bridal/groom party in a timely and professional fashion -arranging the table numbers (many complaints from guests) -transporting my wedding portrait to the venue without hassling me -family pictures with bride & groom at reception -communicating with respect to stressed out family members (M.O.B & cousins) *and most importantly, failing to hire a back up assistant so she wasn't overwhelmed. Her assistant cancelled last minute, understandable. But this is where professionalism plays a big part. As a person who is not in the industry, even I know it is common sense to have someone on standby for such hiccups. She was accommodating to me when it came to my nerves, however that not the only thing I needed accommodations for. A little tip, a client never wants to see her Coordinator feeling bombarded or flustered. This experience was not worth our money.

Michele was patient and helpful when we weren't able to book everything right away since it was too far in advance for some of the vendors but Michele kept on top of it to make sure we got all of our first choices of venue and vendors as soon as their books opened for our desired date! Michele answered all of our questions and was a very good communicator as well as SUPER organized which was comforting to a type A person like myself. We did use a day of coordinator through Pop the Knot as well and Mike was amazing!! We only met him in person day of but his energy was great and everything went off without a hitch. He helped set up the space the way we wanted, made sure our guests were where they needed to be, helped with my entrance, and controlled the music. He also made sure he came out to introduce himself before I made my entrance so I wouldn't be meeting him in person when I walked into the space which I thought was a nice touch. Overall I had a great experience with Pop the Knot and would recommend their services!

We were exactly the couple you'd…read morethink wouldn't need a planner -- our wedding was intimate and relaxed, we had incredible family support, and we were lucky enough to share a really clear vision for the day that we were willing to work for. Never mind that we're both detail-oriented with tons of event exposure. But all of that is exactly why we ended up needing someone with us in the home stretch -- so we and everyone we love could just enjoy the experience and focus on having an incredible time together. From the moment we met Sarah, it was clear how great she was. Her energy is both calming and competent, she got us and our style right away, she had useful input for us before we even officially contracted her, and she had methods in place (timelines, collaborative spreadsheets, day-of checklists, and a lot more) that she quickly customized to us, which instantly made everything feel more manageable. And though she had a long list of fantastic vendors for every taste, budget, and imaginable location, she also went out of her way to work with the folks we'd already chosen, especially our non-traditional venues, which were wonderful but not necessarily set up for weddings. It was a huge advantage to have Sarah in our corner in the weeks leading up to our wedding, from nudging vendors on final details to helping us handle what could've been real problems at the last-minute. When our hair stylist had to cancel, for instance, she connected with someone at the salon where she gets her own hair cut and ended up finding us a replacement so good that I still see her to get my hair done. But where Sarah and her team made an unforgettable difference was in the days leading up to the wedding and on the day itself. It's so easy after you've put so much effort into this one weekend to get obsessed with making sure it all goes to plan. The reality, though, is that little things are always going to go wrong. And maybe even more important than that, if you spend your time worrying about -- or trying to fix -- them, you're going to miss out on the big, awesome thing that is your wedding day. Thanks to Sarah, we didn't even hear about the little hiccups -- a key guest stuck in traffic, a backup in the kitchen, etc. -- till our wedding was long over. And Sarah was such a centering presence from the second the day started that we didn't once check or think about the time, yet ended up having enough wiggle room in our schedule to stop in for a drink (wedding dress and all) at our favorite local spot. From then on, I just remember having fun. Here's the truth: For a wedding to feel effortless -- which is what we all hope for -- takes a *ton* of work. Most of us are willing to put the work in, I think, but it's only worth it if you actually get to enjoy the experience of getting married. That's what Sarah and her team make possible. It isn't something that can happen just bringing a planner in day-of -- that person would barely have a chance to build a relationship with you, let alone all your vendors. And it definitely doesn't happen with all planners; having had occasion to hire planners for other big events outside of New York City, I can't overstate how valuable Sarah's empathy, her unique and personal touch, and her strong sense of initiative and accountability are. Honestly, I worried that I'd be one of those unbearable brides with insane standards -- because I'm constantly involved with professional events in my regular life -- but Sarah met and exceeded every expectation. From there on we started checking in more regularly and she was super helpful with any questions we had. In the month leading up to the wedding, she took over vendor communication which took a bit off our plate. During our walkthrough of the venue, she showed up prepared and ready to go with so many helpful questions that we never would have thought to ask when planning a wedding for the first time. In the weeks leading up, she put together a really helpful timeline for us to ensure we got to do all the things we wanted to do on our wedding day (getting ready, photos with our families, pictures of the two of us at sunset, dancing etc.). It really helped us plan out the day and ensure we could allot as much time to dancing as possible! Finally, the day of, we couldn't have asked for a better team. Karolina stayed with the bride all day to keep the timeline on track (and make sure she didn't forget to eat!) while her teammate, Kristina, was helping put everything together at the venue. Karolina gently kept us on track all day by reminding us when it was time for photos, dance, cake-cutting, but also gave us the flexibility to move things around a bit if we needed a few more minutes talking to our parents. It was truly fantastic and I cannot imagine how much of a mess we would have made of the wedding if Karolina wasn't there to help keep the whole show on track. Our guests commented on how smoothly everything went and how well the timing was all laid out from arrival to ceremony to food to dancing. No one was left hungry or felt like they were waiting for something. For us, this was the most important aspect: our friends and family were able to enjoy themselves without having to worry about the process of the wedding. She is professional, funny and makes you feel like everything you say is important. She gave really good suggestions and anytime we needed assistance getting a contact or appointment, it was just done. Everyone knows her, she has tons of experience, she has a great disposition and is highly organized. She is literally the best, and then on our wedding day, everything went so smooth. Her crew was so nice, I never saw them until the very end, they were like secret ninjas. And best of all, she held our cake topper for a year (yes this review is a bit old)....A YEAR, didn't hound us to come get it, it just sat in their very nice and large freezer. On one hand, after being surrounded by brides/weddings for the past 7 years, I was almost "weddinged-out" and wanted to basically hand my wedding planning over to someone else to deal with. On the other hand, I knew that the kind of wedding I wanted wasn't going to be easy to plan and that I had some fairly specific ideas about what I wanted. I made a few appointments with established wedding planners I had worked with in the past and for good measure, googled and read reviews to make appointments with a few newcomers. After an exhausting day of being interviewed about my wedding and receiving totally extravagant and ridiculous quotes, I met Michelle. Walking into her townhouse/office was so calming and I immediately felt better. She had comfy couches and an array of snacks and drinks out on the table (which seems like a small thing but after meetings with planners who just sat me down at a desk in their office and were on their laptop the whole time, it was nice to feel like someone prepared for me). There was a slideshow of ideas going on the big screen on the wall that had been prepared just for our wedding based on what I told her when we talked on the phone the day before. We chatted for about an hour. She was incredibly friendly and warm and I felt like she would be on top of the details without being pushy. As compared to some other planners who charge a percentage of what you are spending on your wedding AND limit you as to the amount of e-mails etc, you can send them, Michelle was a breath of fresh air. Her package was basically all-inclusive and was a flat rate, not based on how much we were spending. I signed up the next day. During the planning process, Michelle and her team were amazing. Not annoying, not pushy, very laid back and took care of a lot of details behind the scenes without me having to deal with them. I could not have asked for a more fun planning process and I was able to enjoy every minute without being bogged down by details. Michelle screened every vendor and presented us with the top choices in every category that fit into our budget and style. She made all the appointments and dealt with all the contracts and negotiations. She was so good a picking vendors that I booked the first vendor in every category without needing to see more. On the day of our wedding, Michelle was truly a gift. I knew (from talking to people afterwards) that there were things Michelle dealt with and catastrophies she was able to avoid without me knowing anything. I partied, ate, and enjoyed my day without having to deal with ANYTHING. She basically ran the entire day. My fiance and I agree she was worth every penny and so much more. She seemed to be everywhere at once - managing the flow of the day, dealing with guest questions, wrangling vendors and setting up photo shots. One second she's cueing the 2nd course and the next minute she's on the floor buckling someone's shoe before a picture - no joke. One of my bridesmaids complained off-handidly about her feet hurting and Michelle produced a pair of silver flats she had a bunch of just in case. We had a perfect wedding day and enjoyed every bit of it and 100% of the credit goes to her.
