I had a great experience planning my NYC elopement with Michele at Pop the Knot. My elopement was more of a micro wedding so it took a little more planning in advance than probably most people who are eloping. Michele was patient and helpful when we weren't able to book everything right away since it was too far in advance for some of the vendors but Michele kept on top of it to make sure we got all of our first choices of venue and vendors as soon as their books opened for our desired date! Michele answered all of our questions and was a very good communicator as well as SUPER organized which was comforting to a type A person like myself. We did use a day of coordinator through Pop the Knot as well and Mike was amazing!! We only met him in person day of but his energy was great and everything went off without a hitch. He helped set up the space the way we wanted, made sure our guests were where they needed to be, helped with my entrance, and controlled the music. He also made sure he came out to introduce himself before I made my entrance so I wouldn't be meeting him in person when I walked into the space which I thought was a nice touch. My husband and I planned our wedding in less than a year during 2021. From the beginning, Michele was helpful and answered all of our questions. Overall, she helped us create a day that we'll never forget and we're forever grateful for her. With Michele's help, we added a violinist, upgraded the bouquet, and added floral arrangements to the aisle chairs. The violinist was great, as was the general ceremony set up, and officiant. This review is mostly about my unfortunate experience with the floral arrangements. I would recommend Pop the Knot to anyone who is looking to plan a microwedding, however, I would suggest that couples really consider outsourcing their floral arrangements if they have a particular vision in mind that isn't part of the bouquet menu. I paid extra to upgrade my bouquet and add floral arrangements to our aisle chairs. Unfortunately, the flower arrangements on the day of the wedding were nowhere near what I requested. Looking back, I don't know why I even bothered describing and sending photos of my dream floral arrangements. A couple months before the wedding, I sent Michele photos of the bouquet arrangement and aisle decorations that I wanted (colors were yet to be decided). When I asked Michele if the florist could create my vision, the florist confirmed that they would be able to. I wish that the florist was honest and just told me that they wouldn't be able to do what I requested and paid more money for. It would have saved me from a lot of disappointment on my wedding day. In addition to the arrangement and aisle decorations being completely different from what I requested, the quality of the flowers were also subpar. I understand there is a shortage of flowers due to COVID, but I had flowers that were crushed in my bouquet before I even touched it. Everything was off. I asked for no greenery/leaves in the bouquet and there were a ton of filler leaves. I asked for a specific heart-shaped bouquet and I got a round bouquet. Overall, I recommend Pop the Knot, but if you have a specific vision for the florals, I strongly recommend that you learn from my lesson and opt to go with a floral designer you can trust. Wedding planning is complicated, and Michele from Pop the Knot made the experience so much easier for us! Even with just immediate family attending, we found that coordinating an officiant, location, photographer, etc. was still going to be quite a project. We used pop the knot for our intimate wedding in June, and we worked with Michele to help us plan it all. Wow! The whole experience start to finish was phenomenal. We wanted something special but small, and Michele and team were wonderful helping us coordinate an officiant, photographer and florist, etc. She answered all of our questions and more (and always in a timely manner) and coordinated with us every step of the way, so it was really smooth sailing. We had no stress at all leading up to the ceremony--there was little work or planning needed on our end. My wife and I bought a pop the knot package for our wedding. Our photographer did not show up to the wedding because the event was not on the photographer's calendar. While this is ultimately the photographer's fault, it seems fair to expect for pop the knot to have a strong system to ensure services are delivered as they advertise. In our case, it seems they created a contract with vendors several months prior to our wedding, then sent the vendors a reminder email, but did nothing to confirm vendors were ready on the day of the wedding. Pop the knot gave us a $500 refund; they seem to be truly sorry for what seems like an honest mistake. read more

If I could give this 6 stars, I would. After enduring a lot of family drama trying to plan a more "traditional" wedding, my now husband and I pulled a "f#%k it!" and decided to downsize significantly. We were considering courthouse nuptials with only his grandmother when I stumbled upon Pop the Knot through some series of google searching. The experience from start to finish working with Michele was amazing. Michele was on top of every detail and supportive of what we were looking for - and come to find out, she was VERY pregnant and her due date was on my wedding date! Even so, after she gave birth a few days early, she still contacted me about final details and sent out an itinerary to all vendors. After giving birth! Amazing. Not only is Michele and her team amazing, but I just want brides to know there is an easier way. In retrospect, I would have done this from day one and never looked back. Using Pop the Knot allowed me to actually ENJOY my wedding day. I wasn't stressed over any details, because I didn't manage them! The few people invited to the event kept asking me things like "How did you find the venue?", or "What do your flowers look like?". I was able to calmly sip my beer and respond "I didn't find it" or "I don't know what the flowers look like", which allowed me to focus on the people and experience rather than the details of the event. Discovering Pop The Knot was the single best thing we have done this year. My husband and I decided we wanted to elope in Central Park and once the decision was made, we were in a hurry! New York is where we took our very first vacation trip together, so it holds a special place in our hearts because it truly was the kind of trip love story movies are made of. Because of this, we really wanted to have a special wedding day too, even if we were eloping. So we contacted them through their website and met Michele Velazquez. Michele responded promptly and answered ALL of my many questions. She was extremely attentive, so I was very impressed. I admit, I was very worried that doing wedding preparations over the internet had me worried - but it turned out to be unfounded. Michele thought of everything - and our wedding day went perfectly - truly better than my husband and I could have hoped. We both agree that nothing could have made our day any better. Michele provided a list of several vendors to us for each of the items we needed. I sent her a picture of what I would like my bouquet to look like and our florist, Chie, exceeded my every expectation, along with delivering our flowers right to our room! Michele had included a very special surprise for us that almost made me cry, but luckily it was before I had my make up on! Next up, I needed a stylist/make up artist, which Michele was very kind to recommend several people, one of those being Ashley Lugashi from MG Hair and Makeup. This girl made me look FLAWLESS! I had looked through her Instagram and had picked a hairstyle and make up look and she did the most wonderful job. My wedding pictures were absolutely gorgeous, even though I got rained on! She came right to my hotel room and we had a great time. Lastly, we chose Orange Blossom Photography from Michele's list of vendors. I looked through each of their websites and Orange Blossom Photography's photos had the look that I wanted. Julienne (or Jules) was our photographer and this girl is MAGIC! She was so easy going and had a great eye. She was experienced and shared some great ideas for shots that turned out to be astonishing. Jules captured both mine and Chris's personalities in ways that took my breath away when I looked them over. She made sure she got every shot I asked for and so many more. I was totally blown away at how beautiful our pictures are - even more so how quickly we received them. I have absolutely nothing I could even try to complain about. I have been a bridesmaid in 14 different weddings and the brides ALWAYS had something they cried or threw epic tantrums over, but I have nothing. Michele and her vendors were on time, thorough, professional and delights to deal with. This group made our wedding truly the most wonderful day of our lives and I just cannot be thankful enough to have found them to do this for us. Despite all the hurdles, Michele and her amazing team managed to secure our location complete with permit and on the day of our wedding, all we had to do was turn up and watch all the trusted contractors that work with Michele show up. My husband and I had been dreading planning our wedding for over 5 years since we got engaged. Then in late 2019, we finally decided to plan something very small/intimate with our closest family/friends. Still I was dreading the whole planning process. Don't get me wrong, I am a planner for many things and I usually don't mind it, but something about wedding planning just scared me! I started doing some online searching and by chance found Pop The Knot. It was one of those things that sounded too good to be true, but I sent them an email anyways. Michele responded promptly and was very helpful answering all my questions. I had such good vibes with her, that I decided to book within a few days. And honestly, it was really meant to be in the end! We booked everything in the late fall/early winter for a mid-March 2020 wedding. I cannot tell you how stress-free the planning process was for us. We were able to book our officiant, photographer and florist through Michele. It really helped that she narrowed down the options for us, but still gave us options to choose from, based on their availability of course. We chose our venue (a hotel) based on one of her Boston packages and it was all coming together so nicely and smoothly. And then unfortunately, the pandemic hit us in early March and one week prior to our wedding, everything shutdown. It was a devastating time to say the least. However, I was so appreciative to have Michele there to help during that stressful time. She got in touch with all the vendors and helped me find a new date that worked for everyone so we could postpone the wedding. We ultimately decided on an August 2020 date. Our governor in Massachusetts finally allowed weddings again in July (with many restrictions, of course). I was so excited to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel after months of anxiety and emotional stress. Then we found out that the hotel could not host our wedding in August because they were still closed and not hosting events until further notice. This was another blow I just could not take. I wanted to have this wedding and move on! This is where Michele became my hero and saved me from the nightmare that didn't seem to end. I told her that I wanted to keep my August date and find an alternative option. I was so stressed out trying to find other venues. She gave me some options from her packages, but then also recommended another option. She had another client who was in the same position as me and was able to rent a private yacht to host her wedding. She forwarded me the information in case I was interested. I did end up researching this option and let me tell you, it was the best recommendation she could have given me! I booked the yacht and Michele was able to confirm the vendors again to make sure they were OK with the new plan. We re-planned the entire wedding again in just under 3-4 weeks. In the end, even after all the stress and frustration because of COVID, we had such an amazing and magical wedding. The vendors were an absolute dream to work with and Michele pretty much worked double without asking for more in return. She was just genuinely happy to know that she could help us. I could not be more appreciative and grateful! I would absolutely recommend the Pop The Knot and Michele in a heartbeat!
