Duluth Trading Company is a retail-store chain that sells clothing, shoes, and accessories for men and women as well as some travel gear, tools, etcetera. This particular store is in Robinson Township. My husband for years has really liked their thick leather belts and their comfortable underwear, and more recently he has started to buy their shirts and bottoms. I really like their shirts. These products are so durable that they last for many years without getting holes, torn threads, or other damage. The prices are moderate and are reasonable for the high quality. During our past visits to this store, employees spoke nicely with us, offered assistance, did not pressure us to buy anything, and promptly and accurately rang up our purchases. I became a Duluth Trading Company fan back in the 1990s when I purchased their "tool boss" bucket caddy for my husband. It was great for keeping his frequently used tools organized and within easy reach. At that time, the items were geared for people working in the outdoors. Think of being outside working construction in Duluth, Minnesota during winter and the need for heavy duty work clothes and accessories. The company has greatly expanded since then to include women's clothing and miscellaneous outdoor items. This store is about an hour drive from my home, but was worth the trip to do some Christmas shopping. The building is behind the Robinson Town Mall, but easily found. The store is well lit and everything is attractively displayed and organized. The prices are on the high side, but I can say that what I have purchased from this company has lasted. The underwear is famous for comfort and always good for husband's Christmas stocking. As for me, I picked two of the long no-tug t-shirts for hubs to wrap up and give to me. I usually order online but a trip here was a great way to get things off my gift list. Sales staff were very friendly, except for one cashier who was impatient with how people lined up to checkout. I did some holiday shopping on the Duluth website. The items that I needed were not available for pickup at the store near me but were available to be shipped and would arrive before Christmas. Duluth did a great job with keeping me updated when my items shipped and with providing the tracking information. I received notification from the delivery company (OnTrac) that my package had arrived. When I went outside to get my package, only my Amazon package was waiting for me. I emailed the delivery company immediately; however, it took them a a few days to respond and to provide me with the results of their investigation. The delivery company advised me that my package was delivered, that they could not assist further and that I would need to work directly with Duluth. I reached out to Duluth to tell them what happened. Duluth was amazing. They made sure that I got my items in time for the holidays. I really like the quality of the merchandise. My son has over 30 pair of the buck naked boxer briefs and many of them are over 5 years old and going strong! I'm a fan of the compression socks! My wife us a big fan of their shirts and she had about 10 of them. I recently purchased the cart wheels and they seem to be very sturdy and functional. read more

This was my first adventure to Duluth and I can say I was very impressed. My sister and I have been talking about trying the no-yank tank and I had no idea Duluth had so many other cool things. I was impressed by the variety of options in bug/sun repellent clothing but I was more so impressed by the lounge area in the back of the store where they have free water, tea, and coffee. The customer service was so kind and helpful especially Denny who while checking out my transaction added me into their system to receive the catalogs. Top notch clothing that will outlast anything else you've got in your closet. The store is beautiful. Of course they carry their famous Ballroom Underwear for men. My husband has been wearing them for years and would not consider anything else. Duluth's is definitely about the work clothes. Upscale, durable, stylish WORK CLOTHES. That also work for hiking, hanging out or whatever casual adventure you may have. Noga is their brand of ladies yoga pants. Super comfy and thicker than most. They have pet supplies, camp supplies, firewood carriers. An extensive line of high end, casual travel bags that are gorgeous. And lots of colorful Buffs. The store is decorated with farm- implement shabby shiny components, not too over the top but definitely reminiscent of the original Old Navy look. read more

I've seen lots of complaints on Yelp about overpriced items and inattentive staff. Let me reassure you that the employees at this Duluth will bend over backwards for you and then ask if there's anything else they can help with. I stopped in for the Fire Sale on pants, underwear, and socks. I'll say this about the price: If you want quality work clothes that are durable and reliable you cannot expect to pay bottom dollar. I've had many pairs of the Firehose Cargo Work pants and no other brand can compare. If you can't afford high quality work gear and would rather pinch pennies where it counts, then buy Carhartt. However, when it wears out in less than a year you'll be crawling back to Duluth wishing you paid just a little more for much higher quality that will last for years. read more

I was looking for jeans and have always had trouble finding them. I happened to be waited on by a salesperson who was very committed to our trouble with finding the right size. This place is awesome! Duluth Trading is a Company has a great sense of humor and there products are tough! Yes it's a little pricy but they stand behind there products for being able to take a beating yet also being comfortable. As soon as you walk in there's always someone there to greet you and point you in the direction for what your looking for. They even offer complementary coffee and tea while you shop. They even have a large area of shoes from work boots to casual. I recommend this place for those looking to conquer the outdoors while being comfortable. read more

I had seen the commercials on TV for Duluth and while they were humorous they also peaked my curiosity of the quality of clothing. Today I got to visit an actual Duluth store. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman. Throughout our visit we were approached by employees who asked us if we needed help. They weren't pushy, just very friendly. I noticed that a healthy portion of their employees were senior citizens. I really appreciated that. The store is extremely clean and organized. When you walk in you see women's clothes on the left side of the store and men's on the right. I chose to head left and venture through the ladies clothing. I was happy to see that their sizes range from extra small to 2X. The clothing is a lot of solid colors-mostly neutral with a few pops of color. They are extremely well made. It makes me think of the Gap on steroids. They have some cute accessories like hats, purses, and scarfs. They also carry 2 lines of underwear. No thongs here-bikini, high cut, and briefs are their offerings. I had heard the underwear is nice so I bought a pair to try. (Price $18 for one pair). The men's underwear followed. Their underwear section is huge compared to the women's. I picked up two pair of the men's underwear-one each for my boys. I found it interesting that while the colors of the women's underwear had a couple of basic colors-mauve, purple, black to name a few. The men's had tons of colors ranging from black to vibrant colors as well as patterns. The next section was shoes. They are geared for outdoor wear-hiking, gardening, and traveling. They were not my cup of tea but would be for those that enjoy the outdoors. I skipped the men's section of shoes because I knew they weren't the styles that my guys like to wear. There was a nice section in the back with a tv, bottled water, coffee, a tv, along with a water fountain and water bottle filling fountain. The bathrooms are also in that area. They carry a nice selection of backpacks, gym type bags, and tool bags. They are all neutral colors of black, army greens, and browns. What surprised me was how light weight they are. They are very durable but still light weight. I went through the men's wear rather quickly. Our family is not super outdoorsy so I knew the guys in my family wouldn't be interesting. On the other hand they would be perfect for my dad. The closer I got back to the front of the store I saw a few things my guys would wear. I found some shirts I thought my guys would wear. They were around $40. I found some shorts for my hubby but they were $74. Overall I think it's a pretty good store. The clothes are very well made. You are definitely paying for quality. It definitely is geared for people who work and play outdoors. I will probably go in for basics or gifts for my dad. I just have to budget for those trips. Today I spent over $60 for 3 pair of underwear. I normally pay around $6 a pair. That's a big difference. read more
