So much to see in this little store! What's nice is that it's all very well organized for having so many clothes, accessories, and little decorations. Everything is really easy to find, and the employees are more than willing to help you find what you need. I'd describe the clothing here as trendy, somewhat nice/somewhat casual. Mostly catered to young adults. I didn't see any ripped or super revealing clothing, nor did I see anything ultra fancy. It's somewhere right in the middle. It's on the more expensive end, but prices fall right in line with this boutique-style clothing all over the market, so nothing outrageous. Shout out to Lauren and her coworker who I met for the first time yesterday! While I was waiting in line with my purchase, they were met by a couple of concerned customers who were a tad high-maintenance. Both Lauren and her coworker were extremely patient and went out of their way to help these customers get the best price and feel happy with their purchases. I was impressed. Nicely done, you two! I absolutely love everything about this store. The fashion vibe is current, trendy, stylish, yet affordable. I've been in the store more recently then in the past and I'm in love with Francesca's!! What continues to draw me back though is Becky. Becky is always friendly and ready to be your personal shopper. She gives amazing advice and is quick to make suggestions that she thinks will enhance your look. I also appreciate her honest if she thinks an outfit may look better in another color or fit. People pay big money to have someone like Becky. When I'm there it's like I'm shopping with my best friend. The awesome thing is I've watched Becky in action and she is like this with each and every customer. I love her positive, happy, cheerful excitement for fashion. She can always tell you how and what to wear with it if you need suggestions. She takes one look and can tell you the vibe of the outfit. I came in here the other day for the third time and always have such a phenomenal experience. They have everything from clothing, to shoes, to accessories, to candles, etc. Their promos are always THE BEST & the employees here are so personable and ready to help. Parking on walnut is a little tricky but you usually find a space either in the parking lot or in the outdoor lots a block away. read more

This place has probably sucked up most of my paychecks. I live for Francesca's!!! So I frequent the store once every couple weeks, to the point where I've formed a relationship with the staff..and they are my favorite people ever. They are always super helpful, answer and questions I have, help me make outfits, give me their honest opinions about clothes that I try on, and even keep pieces in their heads to show me for the next time I visit. They are just exceptional and make shopping there so fun. As for the merchandise. I usually never leave the store empty handed. Most of my wardrobe is from Fran's, but it is also geared to my style and what I like. I can always find a cute top, to dress up or dress down, and to wear in multiple seasons. I have so many dresses from there too, they're trendy and super comfortable. Whenever I wear their clothing I always get a compliment. Jewelry is a whole other story. They have really cute necklaces and earrings to match with outfits and believe me, I have multiple pieces. The nice thing about the store is they always have sales, like BOGO jewelry or tops. Fran's is my go to store, and the employees make it a tens times better shopping experience! read more

I came to my first Francesca's when I was on shadyside at Pittsburgh during a short vacation. Once I walked in, I found a bunch of clothes and accessories that I wish I can own. If i could, I would love to buy the WHOLE store down! Even better, I found out while I was there that they had a chain back in where I lived (Cleveland, OH). That totally excited me! But as an FYI -- the pittsburgh shop had much much better style than the cleveland shop. Also, this is a boutique shop so it is not a very cheap store to shop at if you're hoping for some good steals. read more

Francesca's is a fun store that is great to browse through. They have lots of different clothing and accessories for women, along with lots of items that would be great as gifts. The retail price of the clothing is reasonable although some items aren't of the best quality. During some of their sales I have scored some very cute dresses! I just recently wore one of them for new years eve. Their shoes and bags aren't of the best quality so I tend to steer away from them. The entire store is stocked to the brim with dresses, skirts, blouses, shoes, bags, jewelry, cute sentimental cards, and many things that would be cute gifts. Even if you don't buy anything it is fun to walk around the store and look at their wares. Its also on walnut street in shadyside where there is lots of other shopping. read more

I kind of feel bad giving them 2 stars, because it has nothing to do with the clothing or store set up. I've been to Francesca's in different states and all over Pittsburgh and I've generally had a pleasant experience in each of them. This location is the exception. The clothing is displayed really well, the jewelry collection is pretty large, and the clearance section includes a lot of variety (although they kind of jam pack it together so tightly that I'm nervous to dig through items that aren't clothing because I'm concerned glass items will break). I stop in about every month or two for the past year and I've had the same exact experience every single time. The employees have an off-putting vibe. I've purchased from here only on two occasions (trinkets, never clothes) and on both instances the employees entered my information wrong into the system. I feel like I'm in the way of the employees and that I should make my exit as quickly as possible. On my most recent trip, I was working my way through the clothes trying to find a dress for an event. My arm was full of clothes. At other Francesca's, employees have offered to get a dressing room started for me. There are three dressing rooms at this location and all three were open. When I was finally ready to try on my clothes, I couldn't find an employee so I just walked into a dressing room. They were in the back trying clothes or shoes on, I'm not entirely sure because I was just overhearing their conversation and saw them out of the corner of my eye. There were a couple of other shoppers, maybe two or three, and one of them took the initiative on her own to grab a dressing room because the employees were still in the back. I sort of got frustrated and gave up. I'm normally the type of shopper to bring her items back to the floor where I found them but after listening to them chatting in the back I left them in the dressing room (I know this was a no-no) but I also didn't feel like helping them with their jobs that they already weren't doing. As I was leaving, the employees came out and one asked the other, "Is she buying any of those dresses?" loudly enough for me to hear. If this was a one off situation, I wouldn't judge the store, but it's basically the same experience every time. I kind of hope they fix the staff situation and remove the uppity vibe. At other Francesca's, I've been able to walk in and ask an employee for something I'm looking for and they've guided me in multiple purchases. I really don't feel comfortable doing that here. In future, I'll stick to other Francesca's and ditch trying to make this location work. read more

This was one of the original - if not, the original! - Francesca's Collections in Pittsburgh. Compared to some of the newer locations, I like that this store is larger and has a lot more product. I always make a beeline to the jewelry section, and this location has a great selection. If you're an Anthropologie fan, make sure to check out Francesca's selection first! I bet you'll likely find something you love for a much cheaper price. read more

Consistent prices---which is awesome when you are getting a $48 handbag, off-putting when you are looking at a $38 bright plastic necklace or tank top. If you wait till sale time you can find amazing steals. And if you think $48 is reasonable for a cute blouse, you're in luck. There are a LOT of adorable, hip, flattering tops. Also--a lot of the fake leather goods are from China, and made with questionable plastics that smell like chemicals. I worry about what I am inhaling when I get a whiff of the highly processed smell. Plus side? At least I'm not killing animals. read more

Love the store, am so annoyed by the employees. I know it is not their fault, and it's what they're supposed to do, but I am the type of person that just likes to come into a store, browse around and maybe try on and buy a few things. I do not need a sales associate to come up to me every time I pull out an article of clothing to look at and ask me if I have any questions or need to add it to my fitting room. Chill out for two seconds and let me be. If I need ya, I will find ya. I also witnessed two employees speaking poorly of another employee who was in the back of the store at the time. The employee was very outgoing and made friends with the customers she was helping. I think they were jealous. Immature and unprofessional. These are the kinds of things that turn customers away, despite the fact that the store may offer great products. read more
