Duluth is great and so is there customer service! I wasn't able to exchange my underwear I bought my husband for a different style. They were requiring me to return it and place a new order. However, they waived the shipping fee for the return and price matched the new underwear to what I purchased them at originally. read more

We've all seen the great commercials for the Duluth Trading Company underwear on TV so, on a whim, Wifey and I decided to stop in and do a little shopping a few weeks ago. This store is very cool, but the stuff here ain't cheap. And there are a lot of cool things and good quality clothing here so it can add up quickly. Luckily we knew what we wanted so I didn't buy a bunch of stuff I didn't need. Customer service was great while we were here so it's disappointing to read some of the other posts where it wasn't so great. I'd certainly come back. read more

Terrible Customer service. I ordered online Dec 2 and as of today the Dec 14 the order has not shipped. Waited on hold for over an hour Wednesday and was told the order would arrive Friday. Not true. today is Saturday and the order still hasn't shipped. Hold time once again is over an hour. Tried starting a chat and was told my wait time was 8 minutes, it now has been 90 minutes and I am giving up. My time is important too. I have been a customer for some years now and will never use the online ordering again. They send e-mails all day long with their bargains but could'nt take the time to send one that said the order was delayed. Merry Christmas Duluth. read more

Found this store in NJ and was pleasantly surprised. I order their items for my husband and it's good to be able to walk into a store and try on their items versus receiving it in the mail. It was my first time visiting the store in Ramsey, NJ and the sales lady, cashier, as well as the male floor person all racially profiled me from the time I walked in the store. This review is for the company, not the location. What an AMAZING ordering experience. I was so happy with the process, that I just had to review about it. Not only did the order get processed and shipped on the same day of order, but there is more. The packaging! This was the absolute least amount of waste I have ever seen in a product ordered by mail. They did not use extra stuffing, peanuts, paper, or a box 5x the size, but they fit 3 items (including a full size lotion) compactly into this small package. Two stars for the poor customer service. I have only been to this store twice, and both times I had to ask the employees if someone could ring me up. On BOTH occasions there were multiple employees at the desk but they ALL pretended they couldn't see me, even though I was standing directly in front of the them and there were no other customers. I was tempted to wave my arms to see if they could see me or if I was invisible. After standing there like a fool for long enough, I had to ask if someone could ring me up. What is more important than taking money from a customer?! Also, if you are busy, why not just acknowledge me standing right in front of you and tell me it will be a minute, instead of pretending you don't see me? I am a patient person, but it is clear that customer service is their last priority. read more

I'm a tinknocker and bought the firehose pants because I was frustrated with every brand lasting only a couple months before tearing. Carhart, dickies, Schmidt, all of them. Duluth was no different. Bought them a little before Christmas and by the end of January they were ripped. For my taste the pants are too baggy, the pockets are too deep, and I can get two pairs of other brands to last the same time. The staff was helpful and I did pick up a wool sweater that's incredibly warm and comfortable, so those are pluses. read more

And the pants were huge on me! So I go to return them, and guess what? I have to pay $8 to return pants that I order in the same size as every other pair I wear, but are huge and don't fit! Catalog Company Comes To North Jersey... And It's Just As Good I know I'm not alone. Several years ago, I made the switch from briefs to boxers, but it wasn't an easy process. I searched - no. I scoured the world wide web (for a time reference, I've used this form of identification over others), with purpose, hoping to uncover the most comfortable choices in transitional boxer briefs available for big guys like me. I eventually arrived at the Duluth Trading Co. page and immediately ordered a catalog. I know I'm not alone. I was immediately impressed by Duluth's selection of Longtail Shirts - the one's that hide that unsightly "plumber's crack" so many of us have absolutely no control over (although for me the exposed belly tends to be more of the issue with standard size shirts). I know I cannot be the only big guy with problems like this: I look for tall size shirts to blanket the extra roomy core below my chest, to sheath my wannabe six-pack that'll never develop. Several pages into the catalog, I discovered the selection of Duluth brand boxer briefs. I've tried a few different varieties out, and I am a huge fan of the Armachillo extra long underwear. So, when I found out that a Duluth Trading Co. store was coming to Ramsey, New Jersey, needless to say I got excited. I no longer have to wait for my favorite brand undergarments to ship. This Christmas I was presented with a gift card from Mrs. Claus and a Duluth Trading Co. logo T-shirt (size 2XL). Guys, these shirts fit nicely. There's plenty of room, but not too much room. I visited the Ramsey location a few days ago to use my ($50) gift card. Here's the thing, $50 will only get you so much; e.g., after a $10 discount for exceeding a $50 purchase, I was able to buy two pairs of underwear. Duluth merchandise is not cheap. The store layout is awesome; it looks and feels just like turning through the pages of the catalog, and it's impossible to get lost with the superb floor plan. The store inventory availability is impressive. A greeter stands at the door and is totally available to answer any and all questions about your Duluth Trading experiences of the past and yet to come. The bathrooms are family friendly with stainless steel diaper changing station. Aisles are wide enough for an umbrella stroller to roll through. Lines aren't too long for one, two or three customer service attendants to take care of you in a couple of minutes. I like this store. Positives? * Gift cards come in a cardboard, magnetic-closure cover * Conveniently accessible from route 17 north in Ramsey, New Jersey * Layout * Inventory availability * Friendly staff * Family-friendly restrooms * Fast checkout (great for parents with children) * Return policy Negatives? * Shopping center exit is easy to miss, even with GPS * Price $$-$$$$$ * Sizing guide is a must. Staff should advise customers to use the catalog or website guide before purchase. What advice would you give to someone who wants to buy from this store? Be prepared to spend some money. If you're shopping for someone whom likes this store or may potentially become a regular customer, create a Duluth budget. They have nice clothes, so be prepared to spend. Everything is good here, but dress shirts always have particular collar sizing. Pay attention to the neck diameter; you may have to buy larger and tailor the shirt afterwards. Would you recommend a customer to buy anything in particular? I like the Armachillo and organic cotton variety men's underwear. I've tried some of the other types, Bucknaked and Bullpen, but the fit is a bit awkward. The casual shirts are nice, too, but always check sizing (chart) to be sure of the fit. What a great addition to northern NJ. This store has a simple layout and a great selection of clothes and accessories. I am a firm believer in with money comes quality. The prices are a little on the steep side but it will last you years and years. The khaki pants are around 50-60 dollars but will last you until 2025. The button down shirts are also 35-45 but will last forever. I do appreciate the tongue and cheek names as well. Like sh*t you not, which are wipes you can keep in your backpack when you go camping. This store is dangerous bring your wallet. The stuff may be pricey but I've been buying from them for years and the stuff wears like iron and the cold weather stuff is warm from clothes to gloves to hats.
