They took $695 for credit card payment, confirmed they would deliver a dumpster for a public lands cleanup. When I called early on to inquire as to where the dumpster was, they said they were busy and would get there when they can. I asked them why no one communicated this and they said they left a message (they didn't---I even checked which number they had on file). So they lied about that. I called the same day (Saturday) and asked them when the earliest they could pick up the dumpster. She said Monday morning. I said fine. Monday came and went and the dumpster was still in the yard. I called to ask them when their eta was. She said they need two to three days notice so they can't come until the next day (Tuesday). I told her I made the request Saturday which is a full two days ahead of time. She told me I was speaking to the answering service and they are not authorized to schedule pick ups. How am I supposed to know that? If someone says "you're all set, the dumpster will be picked up Monday" you don't assume that that person is not authorized to pick it up. The reason we were so eager to get he dumpster out is because we need pictures taken to sell the house. This company pushed that timeline back and was silent on their end. I'm sure when the dumpster is actually picked up, we'll be charged crazy unreasonable fees "just because." So frustrated with this company and their horrible service. Also, their dispatch is not open on Saturday and the whole company is not open Sunday. You would think that people needing dumpsters may need to talk to people on the weekends too. I lost $1425 in dumpster charges they claim was for not returning their dumpster which was a lie and I have proof . I disputed with my bank sent in pictures and proof and the merchant denied the refund so I'm stuck with only taking them to court for this. Nothing the bank can do if the merchant denies the claim. We found this out after filing a complaint with BBB. Beware, there are hidden fees: We placed an order over the phone for a 10-yard dumpster for $495. Moments later, a $618 charge was deducted from our account. Immediately after calling the sales rep, we were told of associated additional fees (taxes and delivery charge). Deadlines are not met and customer service reps/manager should be fired. We called on Monday to request pick up and were advised by Nicole Ross (self-identified manager) that it would be picked up on Tuesday. Two days, 9 calls, and multiple representatives later, we spoke with Nicole again - who sounded like she was answering a personal call instead of a business line - and to our surprise, Nicole became argumentative and rudely stated that instead of next day pick up confirmation, it takes 2-3 business days. 4 days later, the dumpster is still on the city's parkway. According to their website, they boast of "On time delivery and pick ups" and "Friendly reliable service." Both statements are misrepresentations. Dealing with this company is a nightmare. The prices are outrageous, the representatives have zero customer service training, and deadlines are not met. Want better service with better prices in the Chicagoland area? On Friday I was contacted and asked if it could be delivered on Saturday Morning because they were unable to make it on Friday, I agreed as long as it would be delivered first thing in the morning, I was assured it would be delivered between 7AM-9AM. Saturday 9:20am I get a call saying the dumpster was still not there and the people I was paying to do major tree work had no place to put the branches etc. I called and left several messages but never received a return call, finally I got hold of a live person that informed me the dumpster would be delivered around Noon! I told him that was unacceptable that they were voiding our agreement and asked to speak to a supervisor, he told me he was the only one there with any authority and repeated the dumpster would be delivered around Noon. In the meantime my husband was also trying to get hold of someone and when he got a live body that person told him the dumpster would not be delivered until between 1pm & 3pm, he too asked to speak to a supervisor and was given the same line I was! They finally delivered the dumpster around 12:30pm But they delivered a recycle Dumpster that we could only put in Green Waste!! Which is not what I requested!! Because of their ineptness it cost me over $1000. extra to have the cleanup crew come back on Sunday to finish the job since the dumpster was delivered a day and a half LATE! I called the company 4/28 and schedule a delivery to be made on 5/2 speaking to a David Ross at 888-445-3867 ext 210. He said that they had no Monday deliveries and the earliest was Tuesday. I called them on Monday morning and cancelled the dumpster due to the bad weather that was in the forecast and re-scheduled the delivery for two weeks time. He confirmed that the delivery was cancelled and that I would be refunded the money. Well, 5 hours later the homeowner calls me and is complaining that a dumpster is sitting in the middle of his driveway, blocking both garages and that he can't get out of his own house and goto work. I called the company and was passed back and forth, people hangin up the phone, people putting me into voicemail system or just leaving me on hold music. I finally speak to a Maria, she says that the dispatcher for the deliveries is the manager Nicole. I spend the rest of the day trying to get a hold of her but to no avail. I left a voicemail message and my call was never returned. I begin the process again the following day and after trying for almost two hours, I finally speak to "Nicole". She tells me that they will arrange the pick up and will refund me the money for their error. May 4th, I call and ask about my refund, they tell me that the dumpster had trash in it and that no refund will be issued. How does the dumpster have any trash in it, when the homeowner was out of town, the project was cancelled for two more weeks and I personally saw the dumpster and it was empty. I called Dumpster Rental to order a dumpster for the holiday weekend. First they over charge me because of the holiday $150 and was Friday, Holiday was Monday. I called yesterday for pick up they went today and I received 2 invoice on my email for the amount of $150 and $1. They charged me $75 for a mattress (I didn't put it there) and $55 for a TV that I didn't put it there. I called the seller to ask him the details and he didn't answer but he was able to sent me the bill. They charge me a total amount of $650 for a dumpster that I regular pay $375 max. At first I was so impressed with the sales guy that I spoke to, Albert. He was friendly and helpful, and made me feel as if I had made a great choice for my dumpster needs. Reserving the dumpster and deliver of it went perfectly. Dumpster was delivered on a Friday, we did our clean out on a Sunday, and then I called on Tuesday to have it picked up. The ignorant girl in their "customer service" area was quick to get me off the phone. But she had said that she would schedule the pick up for that Thursday, so I didn't think much more of it. Fast forward to today, a whole week later, and the dumpster is still there!!! I don't live at the property, or else I would have called back sooner. I called them yet again to have schedule the pick up. First call got disconnected after selecting 1. 2nd call was answered by a guy that answered the phone as if it he was talking to one of his buddies. 3rd call eventually got transferred to "customer service" where the same girl answered the phone. I tell her the situation, to which she tells me she will schedule the pick up. I proceed to tell her that I will not be paying for the extra days the dumpster sat in my driveway, as I had called last week to have it picked up. I ordered a 15 yd container, I signed an invoice for $400.40. When the dumpster arrived it was only a 10 yd. My contractor called them immediately and said it was not what we ordered. The salesman Albert Pagen said he would send another 10 yd container and give us a super deal. We said no because we only needed one dumpster to fill our needs. Since we did not get a response, we filled the 10 yd and called to have it removed. The dumpster sat there so we called the actual owner of the container and he said he would call them. He could not pick it up until they released it back to him. He called them 5 times before he got to speak to a person. A new 10 yd was delivered and the filled one was picked up. The delivery man said that he only had 10 and 15 yd containers and he did not have any 15's available. The invoice for the second dumpster was sent to me for my signature. It was for a 10 yd but the same price $400.40. They also charged me $180 in late fees (9 days @ $20). I did not sign the invoice. We called and complained about the overage and Albert transferred me to the billing department. The girl we talked to said she would reverse the $180 but would have to get authorization to correct the billing on the second dumpster. The credit and correction never happened. We called Albert who transferred me to the billing department and I left a message. She never returned my call. I called Albert to have the second dumpster picked up and he said I had to sign the invoice before he would authorize the pickup. Then I was billed for another 6 days ($120) overage. We called and complained again and they opened up a ticket to handle the issues (T-33953). That is where we stand today. I do not understand how a company can still be in business with such a pitiful track record. I guess the BBB has zero clout. read more
