I don't like to write bad reviews, but I had Peter install an air conditioning system- I paid 1/2 before the job started and then 1/2 at the end. The system NEVER worked right. the Thermostat doesn't work and the system costs so much to run because it does not cool the house. I have begged that Peter come out and correct the issues. To no avail. I have had real professionals come to look at and all agree it is undersized and the Return is too small. Peter refuses to correct the poor installation - the first time I called he came back and said his "helper" left plastic over the vents and that's why it wasn't blowing out air. maybe around the 10th time I called he send me pictures from the manual on how to fix on my own. Bottom line, Peter does not back his work and runs away when you come looking for him. I would not recommend Dun Rite to anyone. read more

Peter, the owner, was quick to respond to my call and arrived the same day to check out my HVAC. He quoted a price, gave me lots of product/system info and recommendations. Price was great especially considering the larger companies who charge just for being BIG. Who wants to pay for their overhead?! The staff arrived exactly on time at 8AM and finished before 4PM. They left our place clean along with an updated new thermostat, warranties etc. Really was relieved as we saw the temp rise on a pre-snow storm afternoon. read more

I called 10 A/C guys for estimates about 7 years ago. Pete came in by far the most reasonable. All the other guys said I had to lose my closet . Dun Rite was able to hide my AC in my attic with no real access. Any issues I have had had been fixed within hours and I am staying cool in the middle of summer. read more

the worst experience ever. the unit is terrible - maybe undersized and getting dun rite to correct the problem is about as difficult as the unit cooling a bedroom. the duct work is placed next to openings in rooms and not near exterior walls that seems would make more sense. Pete is to busy to try and fix which is fine because I have little confidence he can or the patience to deal with his abrasive nature fueled by energy drinks and arrogance - stay away! read more

Have only high praise for Dun Rite. I was worried when my previous trusted guy retired because I had bad experiences in past with guys trying to rip me off. I have nothing but good things to say about Dun Rite heating and cooling. My central A/C went out in July, and I was desperate to get it up and running again, so I reached out to all of the major players through Angie's list and others based on the trucks I saw in the driveways of my neighbors. Honestly, they told me that they could get me up and running in a few days, but I felt like they were selling me something that took the house I was living in to account, and they certainly didn't give me an honest, low-impact, economically beneficial plan for cooling my house. Pete, "Dun-RITE", did that. He looked at my existing setup, and calculated the overall burden it took to cool my house and then did the math to make my house cooler with a more efficient setup! WHO DOES THAT?!?! He added a vent to our master bedroom, reduced the flow to our bathrooms, figured out the overall flow and installed a new set of vents overall to maximize our system, all at a lower price than the major players quoted me to replace a condenser and handler. Pete's the best there is. And if you're not convinced, consider the value of investing in locally-owned businesses, of which Dun-Rite is. And as someone who grew up in a family-owned business, I feel like Pete's got it right, and he deserves your business. read more

When I called dun rite to book an estimate the owner suggested Fourth of July I told him we were flexible and he could come another day but he said Fourth of July was no problem When I called today to confirm he told me he would be unable to come for our scheduled time and would come around noon. We never heard from him again and when we attempted to call back he sent the call straight to voicemail. Not the greatest way to make a first impression. Pete is a good guy who will take care of you. I wanted to fit my house with central air a month back with a newborn on the way and having just moved into my house. I was misled by another company and ultimately left scrambling. I was given Pete's info and while communications were difficult in coordination for quote, etc., I can't really complain too much because my house was set with central air two weeks later! The pricing was right, and Pete's knowledge led me to not go with a single zone unit that would have left me unhappy. Now I can enjoy summer with my two zone setup that keeps our house nice and chilled, knowing that if I have an issue, Pete will be right out to fix it. read more

Pete and is crew are Professionals. Promised me a cooler more efficient home and delivered on it. His price was competitive and talked me out of a more expensive system (said it was not worth it) and I am very happy wit the one I got. My wife likes it extremely cold ,So he installed a larger size duct ,which works great. Had a small problem came out immediately and fixed it right away.
