We have a fussy HVAC system (Fujitisu mini-splits) and they were installed poorly by a contractor. I had been trying to find someone who could repair my Pioneer split unit. I found Danny here on Yelp and was impressed by all the great reviews. And he really lives up to them! Danny and his crew came yesterday morning and worked well beyond 7 PM. Unfortunately my unit wasn't worth repairing so he replaced it with a Friedrich and even corrected the shoddy electrical and outside drain work that had been done by my previous installer. I spent two years researching mini splits for our residence. I called Pacific HVAC when I started, and got quotes from several other installers. These systems aren't cheap but Pacific's price beat every one that followed and I liked the Daikin system that the owner/manager, Danny, proposed in the first place. The installation crew did good work and paid attention to all the little details. The mounting locations are in exactly the right places and and everything works great and looks well put together, indoors and out. A couple of my neighbors who work in construction came by afterwards and told us they were impressed with what they saw. Danny seems to take a lot of pride in the quality of his work and he also ended up having a lot of patience with all my questions over a long period of time. We found a Mr.Slim by Mitsubishi and Pacific HVAV provided the best price and service then any other company we contacted. I used to have a 18,000 BTU wall unit, but they recommended a 12,000 BTU claiming that it used less electricity and was more efficient. Turned out they were right.. Danny and his team have been great. We couldn't even get others to return a call. Danny was timely and stuck to his estimate. They did very neat work and had very low impact on our living space. Over the course of a couple of months one of the Daikin units didn't seem to be cooling as well as it should have and they came back out and adjusted the coolant, no charge. Also, when we had an issue with a portion of the installation (as often happens with home projects!) Danny was very fair and professional and we came to a happy resolution. His feedback style is honest and straightforward. I thought I would need more btus or two systems, but his recommendation was for only one unit and less btus than I estimated. I know other companies would have given me more btus, just to make extra money. When it was time for installation, the installers from his company were professional too, they were on time, focused and not in my way at all. Danny came with the installers for set up and returned towards the end of the job. Called Danny @ PacificHVAC for a Daiken Ductless AC. Couldn't be happier with his quick professional response to my original inquiry (when other companies didn't bother to respond). His crew did an outstanding job with the installation. I've seen installations from other companies that are sloppy - exposed wiring, aluminum downspouts used to cover the feed pipes to the wall unit instead of high-impact plastic channel and caps, etc. Everything is plumb, neat, and tidy. Last year we finally decided to ditch the huge, noisy, energy-hogging window AC in our parlour floor for a wall-mounted/backyard-based, inverter unit. They recommended a super quiet Daikin unit, with a higher BTU to properly cool the whole floor. Turns out, even on lowest setting it also cools the downstairs hallway as well. His team is very skilled and professional. Do not be taken aback by Danny. He may not be a "hello, how are you today" kind of guy but he really knows his stuff. We are now thinking of doing the downstairs next year with a second unit. read more

Bought a system off of Ebay. Kind of concerned about the whole concept, but turned out great. Danny contacted me shortly after I completed the sale. Came over, everything was included except the electric breaker, which he told me about before I bought it. Completed everything within two days as planned. Looks great and performs perfectly. Bought a Mitsubishi 36k btw Mr. Slim with 4 zones (4 9k air handlers). Also has heat but I already have radiant heating which will continue to serve as the primary heat source. My only comment, and this isn't a complaint, is that you should make sure your current electric can run the A/C. I was in the process of an upgrade from a very old electric install, but if I had attempted to do this pre-upgrade it wouldn't have worked. I ended up installing before the electric was in and it didn't work at all. As soon as the upgrade was finished it worked perfectly. No harm from my end, but I can imagine that someone who budgeted for the system and didn't expect an electric upgrade to end up pretty upset, especially since the electric upgrade took several months. read more

I called Danny in early July, in the height of his busy season, and he was able to fit me in by the 3rd. week of the month. We have been enjoying our new A/C during a very hot and humid July. When the team hit a snag, which is bound to happen with an old house like mine, Danny was there to come up with workable solutions. When we needed to bring in an outside trade to complete a portion of the job Danny worked out all the details with them beforehand.
