I regret not taking any photos of this great visitor's center located along Highway 1. It's large, bright, has clean restrooms, and a friendly, helpful staff who are eager to share their knowledge of the area with you.
We stopped because we had to find a clean restroom, but we found extremely reasonably priced gifts and stellar service.
There are earrings, soaps, jams, and books by local artists. There are displays about the local flora and fauna. I purchased a cool Sasquatch t-shirt. There are tons of brochures and maps. The women working here were charming and chatty and suggested that we try to squeeze a drive-through of Chemainus into our journey to the Duke Point ferry, which we did,
I highly encourage you to stop here for the hospitality, the locally-made goods, and the clean restrooms! They also have EV charging stations and are next to a discovery center that you could spend more time exploring. read more
