The hike to Dundas Peak started at Tew Falls - a scenic beginning. Also i found it helpful to get into a positive mindset to start the hike ahead of us. The hike was a lot of uphill fun. There were sweating involved, but manageable as it wasn't constantly uphill climbing. Suddenly the Peak was upon us as the hike didn't take too long. The ledge was crowded with people. For the more daring, the edge of the cliff provided adrenaline rush as they sat with their feet dangling over. The scenery over the peak was ok at this point in time. I can only imagine the radiant beauty of the colourful autumn from the look out point. Will try to return then to enjoy fall vista.

1.25 km! Fast and easy trail with great rewards! There are 2 small hills and that's about it. Lots of children on the trail. Barely out of breath at the end. You have to park and start at Tew's falls. You can't hike all the way through from Webster falls because some of the property in between is private. Btw, no ghost noted in our pictures. Thanks goodness!

Nature reviews... how do you critique nature? You don't. So this is a review of the "customer experience." This is a great nature spot not too far out of the city if you're looking to escape for the day. I've hiked quite a bit so was not overwhelmed by the views, and there were quite a few people there on the day we went. Still beautiful nevertheless and great to get some fresh air. The hike is easy to moderate with some uphill, but I saw all ages making the journey. The one major bummer about this place is that apparently the local homeowners are trying to reduce the amount of traffic into the park. They have privatized it quite a bit and you can no longer park at the bottom of the hike. You now have to park a good seven minutes away and get in a school bus "shuttle" and wear a wristband which cost us $10 per person. This was a pain in the butt and we likely will not return simply because of that. :(

    don't look down!...woops.

Dundas Peak is certainly a sight to behold. It's worth the drive even if you're closer to the city and want to get some nature time in. The trail leading up to it is nice and easy (maybe too easy), but it's enjoyable nonetheless. There's a small parking area near Tews Falls, which is somewhat in the middle of the trail to Dundas Peak. If you Google "Tews Falls" and follow the road signs, you should be able to find it pretty easily. There's no welcome center, entrance gate, or a real starting point; you just park (for a small fee) and go on your way. As aforementioned, you will encounter Tews Falls on your way to Dundas Peak. You'll hear the waterfall throughout the hike, which makes the hike all the more relaxing. There are several balconies that branch off the train along the way in which you can rest and view the waterfall at different angles. Once you reach Dundas Peak, there are several areas that vary in safety/risk level where you can stop and enjoy the view. While there's a general balcony area in which you can enjoy the view and cherish the conclusion of your hike, you'll want to really take it all in (and take some pictures for the gram) by sitting on one of several cliffs. Of course, you should approach these cliffs at your own risk; however, you'll be greatly rewarded for overcoming any fear you might have :)

There was a short trail for hiking but I wouldn't recommend coming here for hiking. We still managed to get some fall colours in our photos which was nice. Remember to book your reservations online. We paid $35 which was a bit pricey but the fees cover admission to Christie Lake as well which would costs $25 for the 3 of us. We just went to Christie Lake a few weeks ago and didn't know about this deal. It's only about 7 mins drive to Christie Lake so we decided to go there for our picnic lunch after our walk at Spencer Gorge.

Highly recommend to visit all seasons but the most interesting though would have been during the Fall when the leaves changing colour. And when it is cooler, it is more relaxing to do the hike then in extreme summer heat. You have the option visit the 2 falls: Webster's Falls and Tews Falls by hiking through the trail or if you pressed for time or with limit mobility, you can just drive to both by car. If you do want to visit Dundas Peak then the only option is to park your car at Tews Falls and just walk there. I just love to listen to the sound of water and the view is enjoyable. A great mini hike next time if you are in the area!

It's a great place for walking, biking, rollerblading, or just relaxing by the water. On a really clear day, you can even see CN Tower and the Toronto skyline across the lake, which is always cool to spot. Adventure Village is a cute little mini park area nearby that kids will especially love, and while Wild Water Works is just okay in my opinion, it's still a fun option on a hot summer day. One of the true classics here is Hutch's on the Beach. We've been going there for years for fries, fish & chips, and ice cream...though it can get SUPER packed during peak times. There are also some other nice-looking spots like Barangas on the Beach that add to the area's appeal. Unfortunately, over the last few years the park has definitely become more crowded and more litter-filled, which is disappointing. But despite that, I've still always enjoyed my time here and have a lot of nostalgia attached to this place.
