This was my first visit to this location and I have never been in a Dunkin before where they ignored me like this as a customer. The customer service is horrible. This is the worst Dunkin in the area; possibly the world. There are others close by (e.g., Glebe Rd) that are better. I've been here many times and it's almost comical how bad the service is. Last time I went in at 6am and was only customer, the cashier looked at me and then went in the back and didn't come back out -- I left after 8 minutes. They've also messed up our orders more times then I can count, and if you mention it, they just stare at you emotionless because they don't care at all. Strangest Dunkin' on this planet. read more

Another Dunkin' Donuts to add to my list. This location shares its spot with a gas station convenience store. I stopped in late at night and that's not always a good idea when it comes to donuts. I'm looking over what they have available and the donuts a looking tired and reaching the end of their daily shelflife. So the lady behind the counter holds up this little sign that has a special written on it and she asked if I want to buy six donuts and get six free. And I'm thinking, why do I want a dozen stale donuts? I say, no thank you I just want a couple. But she's still trying to push the special and make it sound like it's a good deal. Again I'm thinking, I'm not going to eat a dozen donuts in one night and if I wanted donuts in the morning I could get them fresh somewhere. Besides, by morning these things would be hard enough to use as thrown weapons. Alright enough of that story. The Dunkin' Donuts side of the place is neat and orderly. This is my go to DD because it's the one closest to me but man oh man, the service here stinks. There is always a line every morning - doesn't matter what day of the week it is and the people behind the counter always seems so confused and you validate that confusion because they always give you the wrong order. The worse is probably when you pay for an order and you get less of what you pay for. Try another DD if I were you or better yet, just go across the street to McDonalds in the drive thru and you don't have to wait inside in a long line and more likely to get your order right anyway. We should have known that this Dunkin would be a disappointment after our bad experience with the attached Baskin Robbins. Clearly ownership doesn't care about keeping the food in either of the establishments fresh. The store itself doesn't give you the impression of cleanliness and even had an unpleasant smell to it. We ordered two sprinkled donuts and the lady behind the counter was short with us. The donuts looked like they had been there a few days and tasted exactly how they looked. Again, we live down the street and were hoping for a great Dunkin to visit so this was a huge letdown. You'll be better off paying the premium to go to the Sugar Shack down the street. This location is inside a gas station. I've been coming here for about 15 years because it's convenient to my home. It's never been the best (it's perennially short-staffed) but after Sunday, I will never return. I was in to purchase breakfast and coffee for a morning event and was waiting for my order when a man in obvious mental health distress came in and began verbally assault me, calling me names and attempting to push me back. The owner finally told him to leave and come back later, and told me that he was harmless and I shouldn't worry about it because he didn't mean anything by it and he wouldn't actually hurt me. It was pretty clear that this was a regular occurrence and the other staff didn't even react. This man was clearly in need of help, but was also clearly verbally and physically threatening a customer and they didn't see this as a problem. Bottom Line: it's a DD. I knew what I was going to get and I got it. The ladies. Whine the counter were very nice and worked quick- it was a Sunday morning and there was a little bit of a line. Sometimes when you go into these gas station combo places they don't have everything. This one did. I got my usual coffee, a bagel and an apple fritter for later. If I could give them zero stars I would because I am completely fed up with this damn store! I work nights (6p-6:30a) so I'm going to need me some strong coffee to get me through the night. I could go across the street and get free coffee from the 7-11 which I will do from now on. I'm not the biggest fan of Dunk's coffee, but in a pinch, it will do. This is definitely not the same quality service or know-how that you'd get in Massachusetts. When I ask to mix coffee flavors, I always have to repeat it, and they look at me like I'm crazy. Um...this is Dunks. It's what you do at Dunks. Obviously, the staff needs better training here. Also they don't have as many flavors as a real Dunks, because this is part of a gas station. There's no parking, either. The donuts are fine, and their assortment is good, but I really do like the cheddar bagel twists, and am happy those are offered at this location. Again, Dunks works well in a pinch, and unfortunately, it's the best coffee offered in my 'hood. read more

Continuing on my Dunkin' Donut reviews to follow up on the Columbia Pike -Bailey's Crossroads location. I preferred the Bailey's location over this one. Dunkin' Donuts combined with gas stations tend have more problems. This one is combined with a Shell station. This location is convenient in the morning for me since Bailey's Crossroads I have to back track a bit. So, I was going to this one. The parking is difficult here. There are 2 spaces + 1 handicapp in the front for 15 min. Sometimes I've gotten lucky and got one of those spaces. There is a tiny lot in the back and some street parking. The lot in the back is difficult because there is not much room to navigate my car. I use my free coffee card, and a lot of times they have trouble with getting it to work. They are pretty friendly. Sometimes I've gotten the croissant sandwich, but it tends to be overcooked at this location. In February, I got my free Iced coffee on two days one week, but I was sick that week; so, I felt naucuous later in the morning. However, I went here on 2/29, and I was healthy, and I felt naucuous later in the morning. I couldn't even eat all my lunch that day. I'm thinking that they don't always have the freshest milk. So, I stopped going here, and started trying out the College Park location (since my office is in Maryland). read more

Stopped by on the weekend and decided to grab some hot breakfast. The store was pretty busy and the tables were mostly filled. We got a couple of donuts, cheese bagel twist, hash browns, a wake-up wrap and hot cocoa. The donuts here are about the same as the other Dunkin Donuts - not great but not bad. The cheese bagel twist was ok - it didn't have much flavor or texture. The bagel at Safeway tastes much better than that. The has browns were mushy, oily and we didn't care for the seasoning. There was only 6 little hash browns in the bag, but we couldn't/didn't finish it. The wake-up wrap was something anyone can make at home (a soft taco wrap with egg and your choice of breakfast meat). The hot cocoa was only thing that was good. The whole thing came to about $10. We will probably not stop by here for hot breakfast any more. read more

I only went here on the night Baskin Robbins went on sale for 31 cents per scoop. This location that we went to was in a gas station. The line was longer than usual (coz everyone wanted their ice cream, I assume.) I had 2 scoops of strawberry cheesecake and a scoop of Reese's peanut butter cup while hubby had 3 scoops of Rainbow Sherbet. I would give an A+ for the ice cream and a C+ for location, ambiance and cleanliness, does it really matter, though? I just did not want to miss out! read more

ok, I guess I am officially addicted to dunkin coffee. Recently discovered that if you use a travel mug you get a huge price break - $1.08 for 16 OZ vs $1.84. Great news for my new years resolution to save the planet in 10 easy steps this year. For a while, I wasn't sure about the travel mug - I had become a "regular" which has been a lifelong ambition (though not necessarily at a dunkin donuts shop) and the guy was always getting my coffee ready ahead of time, when he saw me off in the distance...but he has adapted and I am still in the "regular" club. The gas station still has injera which is good to see. I'd add a star for the travel mug discount, but I'd have to just take it away since they did a renovation (goofy mural) and they got rid of the bulletin board that used to have hand written signs in Spanish, Amharic, and English. Been coming here a couple times a month for the past year and a half. They get my food order wrong about half the time. That is not an exaggeration. I've even seen the food prepper look up at the screen, realize her mistake halfway through making my bagel and try to serve it to me anyway! I stopped going for a while, but stopped in today, to give them another shot. Guess what?! They screwed up my food again. Honestly, I have not had a great customer service experience at any Dunkin Donuts locations in Northern Virginia. At this DD, they were out of pumpkin muffins on two separate occasions, they often forget simple things, and their drinks are inconsistent. I am a big fan of Dunkin Donuts bagels, specifically the cream cheese used on the bagels. While I usually use the Chinatown DD location (which is excellently run and managed for maximum effficiency), once in a while I'll visit the closer to my home Columbia Pike location. While the food is fine, no different than any other Dunkin Donuts, the service is lacking. I am almost guaranteed to have my order delivered wrong, especially once you mix in instructions like "only a little cream and Splenda" for an iced coffee - some part of that statement will get ignored, or more likely just not understood. 4 stars because it's on the Pike and if you like Dunkin Coffee, you get it here and the customer service is top notch. The morning staff (5:30 am) are on point and take care of the regulars with a smile, early in the am. Good attitudes and coffee make my day first thing in the am on my way to work. It is located inside the gas station, so parking is a pain, you can park in the back or next door, since its early.
