a variety of donuts in a display case

Ive been here several times already, usually in the morning before work. Never had a problem. The staff is nice and work efficiently. I just wish they had a drive thru.

Outside seating and super clean inside!

I've been ordering from this DD since they opened. It's walking distance from my house and it's our go-to for bagged coffee, donuts, other morning treats and pick-me ups. The service has always been great. The menu items have always been fresh and the atmosphere has always been clean. Pre-Covid they have always been good to my kids. When we walk in, they may offer them a donut hole or put a few extra holes into our munchkin order. When I opened yelp to report on how sanitary they were during COVID -times, I was shocked to see that their stars were so low. Given that their service has always been stellar and the menu items meet, if not exceed expectations, my guess is most people (like me) don't review common places like DD. The ones that review common places like DD are those that are disgruntle about something. So all the great service they've provided goes unnoticed because of a few bad reviews. Honestly, this place is awesome compared to other DDs I've been in. Please, take my word.

When u ask for light cream. Is that only 1/2 a gallon of cream?

I came here as our office is not too far away. I had a bday coupon to use: so figured a good time to try their espresso drinks. I ordered the latte and it was by far the weakest and saddest excuse for one! Not sure if it's the location or corporate wide they put out such bland overpriced silliness; but I for one will never order one again. The donut on the other hand was nice and moist So trade off for a crappy drink, was a fresh donut: lifting this review from one to two stars.

I wish their staff would take minor precautions on cleanliness and safety.

This is a beautiful location there is no doubt about it. Nestled in a cute little corner. However the experience left so much to be desired. The girl at the register looked so tired and I felt like I was going to wake her from a nap. She looked off to the side when she spoke to you and I noticed her not acknowledging customers when they left. It really made you feel unwelcome. And then to the donuts. I get that as time goes on donuts lose their freshness. But the minute I took A bite into the bow tie donut I could immediately tell it had been sitting out so long. It was not good. The vanilla glazed however was delicious. Super moist and yummy! This isn't a place I would come to again. But if you are looking for an inexpensive donut, stop by.

Each place has a theme, or a charm all its own and Grind N Gears Cafe is one of the latter. When you pull up you immediately recognize the place as a former body shop or service station. Not a as station, but a body shop. They have their own small parking lot in front with special motorcycle parking on the sides of the lot. It's a small place. When you walk inside there is a runner leading up to the counter with their case of delicious looking eats and a platform above with an old Indian motorcycle perched looking over the place. To the right of the counter are some toys for the kids, including a kids motorcycle and other funs toys to keep the kiddos busy while their parents enjoy a magically concocted coffee drink by the shops artisans. There are comfy little sitting areas composed of oversized furniture from your parents basement. The front has a few racks of leather jackets that feels like your at The Alley's northern location. They do have some hats and apparel for their own shop and I almost bought a hat. On the left side, they have another seating area, but it looks more like a table in a cozy kitchen than a sitting room. It's quaint no matter where you look or sit. Lastly, their drinks and food are quite good. With all the stand alone coffee places popping up, Grinds N Gears is one of the cooler places and I don't mean hipster.

Great…read moreassortment to choose from.. difficult even, but we were able to fill a box to everyone's enjoyment. I really liked the assortment of cakes, pies, cookies and more available and will certainly be back again.. and again. A suggestion: While I was intrigued by the sandwich board I had no way to know what the sandwich would look like. Bread? pandora? Ciabatta? 6", 8", 10", 12"... or bread loaf slices? So my suggestion is they get some photos taken or make a few sandwiches wrapped and ready to grab n go. Make one of each and see what sells. I'd use sandwiches as a way to bring in customers who will then purchase a pastry or cookie.. or come back when they need something sweet. sorry, no photos... pastries were gone too fast and they were delicious.

They were all delicious and pretty good. The gentleman who served me gave me a generous portion of their homemade gelato which was creamy and flavorful. I enjoyed my experience here.
