Saw that there was one on the path to the Denver airport. I could gas up the rental car and get some chow before entering the land of over priced airport food. Look the service was fine and the food was ok. But there was nothing special about the chicken fingers or the fries, or the sauce for that matter. The tenders were lacking in any real flavor on their own. They need some spice. Same with the crinkle fries. As a delivery mechanism for the Outback Bloomin Onion style sauce thats about all you could say for the main dish and side. But I didn't even use all the sauce, so paying extra for more is right out. I found it interesting that you need to ask at the counter, and get a code, to use the restroom. It looked like a nice enough area, but obviously there must be a reason for it. We're due to get some of these restaurants near me, but I don't have any reason to go back. Chick-Fil-A, KFC, Popeyes, or Savvy Sliders all offer vastly better product. This is a 3 not because of anything bad. Just wasn't anything better than 2.5 average.

We had just returned from an international trip (fyi it was a college graduation trip that my parents gifted me I did graduate 4 years ago so do the math). Regardless, we had just returned and wanted food because you know how long flights go but we weren't sure if we were going to make it on time. What did we do? Here's what we did: We called, Connor answered. He took care of business. He said you tell me the order we will make sure you get the food. Connor is the man. It was cold outside and even though they were closed they let me into the warmth and I let the warm liquid out of my body (urine). Connor hooked it up he got so much potential and he's using the potential to be the best Connor ever. Also back to the part where I told you to do the math I am just happy they took me on this trip most parents wouldn't do that but regardless you should tell your parents you love them and appreciate them. They are key to this world and when we grow up we will take care of them because they deserve not because we have to but instead because they deserve it.

Well, I'm afraid that applies to Smashburger as well. Look, I know that a smashburger by its nature is supposed to be thin. I also know that prices at the airport are wince-inducing by nature. But this sadly is the extent of my excuses for this place. I'll give one star for the decent service and the Arnold Palmer. But as to the rest? Ehh...it's a crowded, chaotic mess inside (again, it's the airport) but there's no reason for a stale bun, fries as hard as glass, and a burger patty that's paper thin. What's more, I got the DOUBLE! I'm not a burger snob. Heck, I had high hopes getting the double western-style cheeseburger. But with the dry bun, drier non-existent patty, and hard fries, I can't give this any more than a single star. Congrats, Smashburger. You've officially earned the 'Worst Burger Ever' award in my book. This place scores a 1 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

It was delicious. One of the better burgers in the Denver area. Lots of flavor. The fries were crunchy and lightly salted. The plate was a bit expensive. For the meal it was a little over $20 but I was happy with my meal. Not too much to say about the service, just a cashier but she did drop my meal off. The restaurant looked nice and the decor was on point. It's a bit out of the way but if you are headed to the airport then you should stop on by.
