While there, my friends and I walked along the beach, marveled at the horseshoe crabs, and enjoyed the cactus gardens and sweet honeysuckle-lined road. While it's a typical combined bait/tackle and convenience store (i.e. it's got an eclectic mix of emergency household items, snacks, beach toys, Broadkill Beach branded merch, etc.), it also has a kitchen and griddle where delicious breakfast foods, sandwiches and fries are served up. They open early - perfect for the early riser and angler setting off for high tide. The staff are friendly and conversational. They were excited about the busy Memorial Day weekend they experienced and the forthcoming summer season where customers from nationwide come to Broadkill Beach.
