We stopped here for coffee and to check it out before heading to the Bethany Beach Farmer's Market on a Sunday morning. They were so busy! They had a consistent line but kept it moving pretty quickly. The staff was friendly and answered any questions that we had. There is a large variety of baked goods items, hot drinks, cold drinks, merch, small business items and more. They definitely played into the beach vibe with the wall art, decor, and surf board seasonal menu! I also love that they sample some of the coffee blends so you can try before you buy! They are in a great location. Definitely worth checking out if you are a local or a tourist! We will definitely be back!

On the day I signed paperwork for my new Millsboro house in 2019 I sat alone in what was then Dagsboro Days; a few years later the spot turned into a vegan bakery, today it's Kisa (Russian for cat I'm told). We arrived on a busy morning. The place was quite active and full. We ordered a bagel, a breakfast sandwich, latte and tea. Had a very pleasant breakfast. My latte was nice and strong the way I like it and the sandwich "Breakfast Delight" was excellent--egg, tomato, lettuce, guacamole on rustic bread. Very fresh and flavorful. My only concern here is service. Everyone can have a bad day or respond to stress in different ways but this morning our server was quite brusque to the point of rudeness. As I myself work in a service type of job, I get it; sometimes it gets a little much. So on subsequent trips there I'll see if the engagement differs and file an update. Meanwhile sit back and enjoy the many interesting things you'll see at Kisa including a cloudy sculpture that lends the entire affair some whimsy.

We made it there on our second day and it's clear that this seems to be a favorite to both locals and visitors. Upon arriving, it was pretty difficult to find parking as all of the spots were taken, so we quickly located a spot on the residential street nearby. Walking in, the line was almost to the front door, but I didn't mind as it gave me plenty of time to peruse the menu for coffee and breakfast options. I loved seeing the coffee beans available for purchase as well as some of their merchandise on my way to the counter, in addition to admiring the hand-painted murals and so many cool seating options. The tables have really beautiful woodworking, many of which have raw edges which add a lot of personality. Order up! I opted for an iced latte with an extra shot of espresso (because I definitely needed an energy boost that day) and coconut flavoring, frozen matcha, the breakfast sandwich, and a glazed doughnut. I was really intrigued by the coffee smoothie which was featured and highlighted in multiple spaces. The term "smoothie" threw me off but I discovered from a fellow patron that it's simply a frozen blended coffee and they order it all the time. Since we came in later in the morning/early afternoon, there were already quite a few people flocking to the barstools, ordering espresso martinis, which looked divine. I have to say that my coffee was delightful, you can tell that the beans were freshly ground and the extra shot of espresso really did the trick for me. The frozen matcha was delicious, 10/10, no notes! Would definitely get that again and would try the coffee smoothie next time. The homemade biscuit is what intrigued me the most but I think I've been spoiled with some really amazing housemaid biscuit sandwiches back home so this one really fell short for me; it was kind of hard, a little burnt.
