The employees here are mostly very young, and they're frequently short staffed, and sometimes it does take a bit in the drive through. However, they've taken a national chain and still makes it feel like it fits right into Thurmont. The employees all recognize me, remember my name, ask about my dog (since he loves his pup cups), and are genuinely some of the nicest people I've met. I order ahead and whenever I get there there is a line of cars, maybe 6-7 and it takes 10 minute to get to the speaker, what on earth is taking so long!! the drive thru is horrendous. Sometimes it's is backed up it's all the way down the public road. 8/10 times my order is wrong. Today I ordered breakfast well when I got to work I realized they shorted me hash browns no biggie it's not that far mistakes happen. I go back and ask for my food. Well they're out. Didn't offer to make anymore. It's hash browns it takes minutes I worked fast food for 10 years. I don't know why they think if they don't have it they can just take your money not tell you they're out of something and not tell you. This is my last time going there. Stopped with my kids today and since it's also a baskin robins they wanted ice cream, vanilla- well they didn't have any!!!! Wanted ice cream cones----well they didn't have cake cones Nor did they have single scoop cups or sundae cups. Got a sundae it was only a brownie with a scoop of ice cream! Open early. Very convenient. Lastly, very friendly employees. I came in at 5:30 am for some early morning commuting coffee and the employees were already awake and alive. When it's early and you haven't had your coffee yet, you usually do not want to start your day with bad customer's service. At this place that will definitely not be the case for anyone. This may have been the best Dunkin Donuts I have ever been to. Service was quick and the product was good. Food was fast and hot, sweet tea was actually mixed enough for the sweetener to disperse, and the coffee was as good as expected. Staff were not overly talkative and seemed to work well together, helping each other out to provide efficient service. read more

The woman in front of me ordered, her change was $4.77 and an employee named Aaron took 5 minutes to figure out how to distribute change to her. Then he proceeded to leave the register and ignore me while looking me straight in the eyes which made it clear that he was ignoring me intentionally. That guy should definitely be fired. read more

Two main issues and they are management issues - Their morning set up. Generally they seem to have 4-5 people working on drive-though orders and 1 on walk in. So when I go inside to order a coffee it has taken as long as 15 minutes while the drive through is just zipping along. Second and this is a personal pet peeve. I like hazelnut flavor in my coffee. I do not like sweetness in my coffee. DD has flavors that are unsweetened (shots) and some that are sweetened (swirls). No matter how I try to order my coffee - hazelnut shot, UNsweetened hazelnut flavor, please please please do not use the sweet stuff it's gross and I hate it - at least half the time the person making the coffee puts the sweetened stuff in. It's gotten to the point that I started ordering a different flavor that doesn't come in sweetened as well. After a few weeks I tried for hazelnut again - and lo and behold despite specifying and despite the person who took my order putting it in correctly (based on my receipt) I ended up with the nasty sweetened stuff. This is absolutely a training issue. Staff need to understand and management needs to be sure they understand there are both unsweetened and sweetened types of certain flavors. Yes I can have them remake my coffee, but it really shouldn't be this hard to get what I ordered. Plus I'm not a fan of burning my tongue so I don't' start drinking it until I'm in the car and it's cooled down a little. Service is other wise friendly. Yes this place hires a lot of teens - that's normal. Personally I'm thrilled that there's places in town where teens are able to get a flexible job, earn some money and be able to get some job skills. I have never experienced poor service because of the age of a worker. read more

Haven't been here in a long time and I come back, NEVER EVER AGAIN. Same bullshit as last time. We ordered donuts, hot chocolate, and ice coffee. Got the donuts when placed order, waited and waited for drinks. We go up to counter and ask about them. 3 ladies just walking around with head up their asses had to raise my voice to get so.eome to co.e over, he came out the back. I tried to order 25 glazed donut holes at 10 am on a weekday for the third time in the last 4 weeks. The only option was chocolate or blueberry donut holes every time. I am not sure why the store does not lower the number of these donuts they order and increase the number of glazed donut holes. I then tried to order glazed donuts and my choices were again limited to three types of donuts that were not glazed. This donut shop never has donuts! I give up and will not be trying to get donuts from Dukin again. Maybe that is why they want to drop the word donut from their name- coz they ever have any!!! read more

Roughly 8/10 times they get my order wrong. Literally. It's become a joke around the house hold. In addition, and I have no clue how management gets away with it, they close 45-60 minutes early just about every night. Nice associates but probably the most poorly run business I've seen. Friendly staff, usually high school aged kids. Only problem is they are always out of waffle cones which I find very disappointing.

While the wait is long, I have consistently received iced coffee without the ice. Yep you heard it right. No ICE IN THE DARN ICED COFFEE. MAKE SURE you order a cup of ice if you want a cold coffee. Absolutely the worst Dunkin' Donuts I've ever been to in my life. The sprinkled doughnut I ordered had almost no sprinkles on it and the sugar doughnut had no sugar taste to it at all. Employees don't seem to know menu. Often out of items. Waited in a long line today for the new pretzel croissant breakfast sandwich today only to find out their oven was broken and there were no hot sandwiches. No sign?? Every time we go In to this location whatever we want whether it be a coffee or milkshake machines always seem to be down. Trash is overflowing in cans, trash on counters. Store is not clean guys!! When you are slow how about doing some cleanup etc! We were told tonight machines were being cleaned, oh really how about cleaning the store first before machines during a busy hour! We were told by Bree it would be five minutes, which turned into 20 only because I had to remind them to make our drinks! Asked for managers information, was given a phone number for a Sara 240-439-0112, and that number didn't answer and go figure, couldn't leave a message because the voicemail was full. Assuming with complaints from other customers! Thurmont doesn't have Starbucks and so DD is it! Get it together over there! Will continue to reach out to corporate until that store can get a handle on it!! This is rediculous! read more
