    Crab pretzel appetizer

Seated a party of nine with no wait at 2:30p on a Saturday. Everything was amazing, portions were huge. We took home six boxes of leftovers. Pictured are the crab pretzel and the pulled pork fries, (which are appetizers!!)

Dorito Burger (aka Burger of the Week) Came with a steak knife and more fries but we grabbed a bite before the pic!

Stopped in on a Sunday at about 1 pm. Note: they close at 2 pm on Sundays and there was definitely a vibe that the waitresses were done for the day. But more people came in that last hour both for carry out and dine-in than was there when we arrived. They really should stay open longer on Sundays. Some staff are pleasant, some are surly. We ordered two burgers, one with waffle fries and one with chips. They were hot and delicious! My only complaint was the grilled onions on the Swiss burger were not tender--I think they were from the outermost skin of the onion. I literally could not bite through them but had to gobble them like spaghetti you can't break! Hubs ordered the Burger of the Week which had Doritos and was so large it came with a steak knife in it! Chips were fresh and waffle fries were perfect!

    Giant Red Velvet Whoopie

Passing through the town and stopped by to pick up a sandwich. The place was packed! It definitely had the charming little restaurant vibe. Had the Turkey Rueben which was delicious. While waiting for my food, this giant whoopie pies caught my eye. Couldn't say no. No room for dessert today but will save it for tomorrow. Had a fun little chat with the owner at the counter as well. So friendly!!

After a long drive in this scorching summer weather we're having, I was only too happy to discover this restaurant in the small town of Thurmont. It seemed to be the only one open for dinner on a Tuesday evening. The bright red paint with white trim on the interior is lively and represents a barn setting. TKK is a gathering place for locals. It's worthy of mention that no one was using their mobile phones. Diners were talking to one another and unwinding from their day. It's a nod to an earlier, more genteel era in America and lovely to see. The broasted chicken, as many yelpers have raved about, is one of the hallmarks of this spot. I saw a lot of it coming out of the kitchen. It takes 25 minutes to prepare, so be forewarned, but it's very good and worth the wait. I had a pretty decent lump meat crab cake sandwich that cost $12.00. The French onion soup is commendable. TKK is popular, and so there can be a bit of a wait, but not bad. The menu is full of comfort foods, well executed for the most part. It's certainly appropriately named.

We were driving through the area and needed a place to stop for lunch. This was a perfect spot! Great local place. It was clean. Staff were friendly and very attentive. The food was delicious! The menu has lots of choices and very reasonable priced.

    Honey Do sandwich

A solid average restaurant. If I lived in the area I'd probably be a more regular visitor but as I do not I think the next time I visit I'll check out some other places first. Their crowd was on the geriatric side. That could've been due to it being a weekday afternoon but I think it was a telling sign about their clientele and food style. What we got: Honey Do sandwich - 3.5* overall pretty great! The pickle on the side though was just a few slices, not what I was expecting at all. (Forgot the name) - triple Ruben melt - 3.5* by my partner (I liked the chicken sandwich better). The melts came with two sides so we tried the loaded mashed potatoes and corn fritters. Both were solid side options though nothing extraordinary. Red velvet cheesecake ice cream sandwich - 3* the cookie portion of the sandwich tastes like chocolate biscotti. The ice cream cheesecake was interesting. It was a dessert I ate and finished not one I'd get again.

Great chicken sandwiches... small but comfortable dining room for all family sizes.. the staff was very nice. I had the honey Do fried chicken sandwich and it was GREAT. My son had the Nick grilled chicken...he liked it but said the fried chicken was better. We had loaded bacon cheese fries and they were soggy. Could have made them better for the price. The fries was more then my actual sandwich which was confusing. The dessert we took home. A Pumpkin muffin and a apple parfait. The parfait was very good and the muffin was a little bland( Nothing special ). I probably will not return unless in the area but if I do I definitely will skip the appetizer and go to the fried chicken!

Broasted chicken with potato wedges, green beans. broccoli salad and roll. $12.99

My wife graded the Reuben five stars. She said it was very tasty and she enjoyed the crispy toasted bread. I can only give my burger with toppings three Stars. The pulled pork was OK, not as smoky or flavorful as I like. The burger was well done... Although I might've been able to ask for it with a different level of doneness? The coleslaw was OK, but I prefer it not so watery. The potato chips were excellent. The service was excellent, prompt and thorough. The meals were served on metal cooking sheets with parchment paper liners. Interesting plating method but the cold metal cooking sheets soon made the hot sandwiches cold too. Would have been better if the metal cooking sheets were pre-warmed up. Cost of meal was $42 + gratuity

Made a reservation not like you really need one, but we made one and was seated down pretty quickly. The host was nice and friendly and the wait staff said hello to us within the five minutes of us seating. I appreciated how family-friendly this place was, they give these cute little animal boxes with different things inside and crayons to keep the kids entertained. The decoration is fun with a lot of outdoor vibes and stuffed real animals. They bring out a side of chip and a yogurt dill dip that's interesting, a fun idea. The food, mhm so we ordered a lot! Crab dip: 2.5/5 not too bad but not memorable, okay amount of crab, flavors were too heavy on the cream cheese/fillers but just okay, they need more bread with it but the chips helped. Prob wouldn't order again Crab cake: 3.8/5 pretty good size and good amount of crab and good flavor probably the best dish that we had ordered here! Would get again. Burger: 3/5 granted I did order this medium well for my kid, but the burger was charred a little too much around the burger, giving it a sort of dry crunch on the edges and charcoal burn vibes. Not my favorite texture that I would want on a burger, but perhaps it would've been different if I ordered a medium? Bread itself was a little stale/crunchy which I did not prefer how it was cooked/prepared. Overall, it was just okay. Ribs: 2.5/5 the ribs were half off ribs so I decided to go for it because of the good deal. But it was just okay, being that Blackhog barbecue is right next-door (thier dry rub ribs are amazing), I would hope that they would step up their barbecue rib game. For a " full rack" there were only nine bones and seemed a little smaller than what I'm used to. It's very heavy on the sauce which I didn't think was the best pairing and wasn't the best flavor bbq sauce. Overall, I wouldn't order it again. Steak kabob: 3.2/5 this was actually pretty tender for the cut of meat, I'm surprised that I didn't have to work for it so I was happy about that! The only criticism that we have is that the meat itself did not have that much flavor or seasoning and there's only one skewer of meat and one skewer of veggies. Meaning the total amount of meat that was probably on that dish was no more than 4 -5 ounces of steak. And for that price point, I would want a little bit more meat. Mac and Cheese: 3.5/5 pretty good for a kids Mac! Good cheese and flavor was impressed! Overall, the service and the host in the experience of being there was pretty good, but the food was a little lacking not sure if I would go again, but it was on our right experience in terms of food
