Just look at their hours! They are doing all the right things. There is wifi and a good amount of seating, including stools for solo diners who might want to open a laptop and send a few emails while eating the aforementioned giant scone. It's also easy to get takeout service, but I'd say it's worth spending a few minutes here to really savor your food and drink.

While the espresso was pulled well and the drink was delicious, it did taste as if their roaster went just a bit too far, or they extracted just a bit too much. Not a big deal. However, at a place making this correctly, I would expect a damn good macchiato. The croissant was also tasty; buttery and flaky, and I am not sure if it was baked on site, but I feel like if it wasn't, they should consider doing just that, because that is what could elevate this to that next level and really make it a destination! All in all I was pleased with what I got and the price was reasonable for what we ordered. If I am in the area I will likely be returning to my favorite spot nearby that I frequent with reverence, and that is no fault of Chadds Ford Coffee House. But when coffee is needed and I'm around, if I can't go to where I normally would, this would be at the top of my list! Many Starbucks nowadays seem to function as grab-and-go coffee spots. But this location has a fairly large seating area if you want to enjoy your coffee with friends. This location is very busy on weekday mornings, presumably with a rush of workers, students, and local residents. I prefer to order in the app and pick up once I arrive. The staff seem to prioritize speed, efficiency, and accuracy. They crank out orders at a fast pace, so the wait is not too long. During my recent visit, the staff quickly remade a drink for someone whose order got mixed up, no questions asked. Also the bathroom was clean when I checked it out! That is greatly appreciated. Overall props to this Starbucks location.

The mocha was made very quickly and tasted good. I definitely notice what other reviewers mentioned... there is a very obvious "burnt" taste that the espresso has. It wasn't inedible by any means, just different and stronger than your typical coffee shop. The breakfast burrito was also strange to say the least. I didn't take any pictures of it, but the "scrambled egg" inside was literally just cubed (!!!) microwaved egg, honestly not even sure if it was real egg. The other ingredients were fine, but the egg was extremely off putting and not at all what I had expected. Some of their other food options looked good here but I wouldn't go out of my way to return.
