Great LOCAL store have been purchasing appliances and many parts. We have found that the appliance purchases are aligned with the bigger box stores, maybe a few bucks more, but for the service and support it has been worth it. I should have looked at the reviews before i bought 2 appliances from this store. one of the appliances, a dryer did not work and the delivery guys told me keith would be by tomorrow to fix. well that's not the case so they have someone coming to fix a brand new dryer from whirlpool, not their store and everything is a week or more. I told them to take the dryer back which they should have done from the beginning and they tell me its on backorder and if i want another dryer I have to pay more as well pay to have it converted to propane. This whole experience has been aggravating. How do you run a business where you don't stand behind your products and your customers. read more

I called to order a refrigerator. Was told it was in stock and they could come Friday. When I called to confirm the date they changed the date and put me off a week. I went to store to check the measurements and was assured it was in stock. It was scheduled 1 week after the original order. At 4;00 the day before the second delivery date I was told they did not have the Fridge ready for delivery. They told me they would do their best but could not guarentee "the truck" would be able to deliver it. I cancelled. Very dissappointed. read more

we spent a lot of $$ there recently. They called,said the items were in and that "John" had the items on his truck for delivery and install would be here 7;30 am today. well, that did not happen! after sitting and wasting a whole day I finally located John. He BASICALLY TOLD ME..OH WELL, SHIT HAPPENS...and hung up! I had called his( install John) cell 5 times today and sent him 2 texts.... no response!! So I waste a day on dear John.... Now, Dunmore Appliance took the position,today, that John is an independent..not their employee...first time i heard that... but,wait,... they gave him our new dishwasher and microwave to deliver and install....ie delivery and job of install multiple items.... anyway, we have been buying and supporting this business for many years. Purchased a new $12,000 Thermador stove in October of 2021, was supposed to come with a free dish washer from the manufacturer, never received it, just lip service about supply chain issues and it would take a year, well it's 2 years 3 months, and they have just left a good customer "die on the vine" we called and emailed many times and received no good explanation, we spoke to two other Thermador dealers, who all gave the $600 dishwasher's to there customers who made the $12,000 purchase, so just beware of this should you venture in . I've used them a few times. customer Service is not always the best but they do come through when you need them. They were able to get me a stand up all refrigerator that no one else had in stock. They also have some deals on dented appliances which can save you money. If you can't find what you're looking for at the box stores, I recommend you give them a look. read more

My delivery was scheduled for after 3 pm today. It is now 5:44 pm and I am still waiting. I called the repeatedly and received one call back. That person thanked me for my patients and said that my refrigerator would be delivered today. That was before 4 pm. At 5:50 p.m. I called again and got the voicemail. Shortly after that, Mallory from the store called me to say that the delivery truck was out front. I said "thank you" & hung up. Then she called me again to comment on me hanging up on her. I got the distinct impression that I hurt her feelings. The only problem I had with the 2 men who delivered my refrigerator, was that they left the huge box that the refrigerator came in. I had to drag that huge carton to the dumpster, cut it down into smaller pieces myself, and dispose of it on my own. This is not professional behavior. It is for the above reasons that I do not recommend Dunmore appliance to anyone. read more

The worst service of a retail store, I have had. The only appliance retailer that I have dealt with that won't take returns. They told me there is a 20% restocking fee upfront. But then wouldn't take back the fridge. They told me I had to deal with GE. GE said they don't do returns. When I called back I explained that it wasnt a warranty issue. The fridge just wasn't properly fitting in the spot we needed to put it. She said we had to call GE and hung up. The drivers damaged our hard wood floors. Told my wife they were sorry and marked it down. When I asked about that. The lady said. They arent responsible because the drivers told them they didnt do it. To call our insurance company. So much for trying to give small business a sale. Never again. I heard bad things about them before. I should have listened. I guess I have to do business with lowe's any more . After having a horrible experience with one of the big box stores telling me they had the appliance I wanted then stringing me along for over a month, changing delivery dates and finally saying they didn't have it and wouldn't get it after I was told it was in stock. I cancelled that order and went to Dunmore Appliance on a recommendation from a friend. The salesperson was very pleasant. Assured me they had the appliance I wanted and gave me a delivery date in a week. When I checked to get a time estimate for delivery, they gave me a one hour window. The delivery truck pulled into my driveway at the start of the window and the two delivery people were very efficient in removing the old appliance and installing the new one. Well that wasn't a first good impression, I just called this place because somebody recommended them... I need 2 new kitchen sets for two houses I'm flipping, and both of my customers that are buying these properties want stainless steel, so I need 2 refrigerators two stoves two microwaves and two dishwashers... this is a large sale and this lady hung up on my face. Love Dunmore Appliance. Great people. Great service. I bought my refrigerator here, my first washer/dryer set here. Was working great when I sold them 8 years later to buy a new set from them, & I just got a new washer 9 years later (only because I wanted one with an agitator). I have never experienced an establishment of any kind, with worse capability and customer service. The incompetence was astounding. To start, they were a week late with the delivery. Every time i tried to call, I would be informed that they would get back to me. You would think that if a business was a week late on a delivery of an appliance that was already PAID for, they would jump to rectify that issue. but not this store. they finally found me a delivery date 3 days later (now a total of 10 days late) did not offer any discount, store credit or even apology. 3 days later, the delivery was set to happen, and I had to call 4 times, and kept being told "oh they will get there." Again, you would think that now being 10 days late, this would be the first item on the delivery agenda, but of course, it was not. They finally delivered it at 7pm that night, when the delivery window was 9-5. The best part? They installed it incorrectly!! We had to hire a plumber to come and fix their mistake as the first time we ran it, it leaked all over the floor. Do not ever use this establishment. What a horribly run business. read more

I purchased a Speed Queen dryer from Dunmore Appliance. The cost was over nine hundred dollars. When it arrived the door didn't open from the right side. After several calls I was told that it costs $48 to have it reversed. If I have them come to my home it is $100 for a service call. I think this is not a good business practice. No one asked me if the door had to open a certain way. I will not buy another thing from this store. They told me that there would be a charge even if I had it done at their store. This is very poor customer service. I could understand if I bought a scratch and dent item. This dryer was right out of the box. They didn't even return my call when I called them twice the day it was delivered. The second call I even spoke to a man who said he would check into it and call me back, no return call. I needed someone to help me move some appliances to my new home. They don't offer that as a service though. However, they did give me the name and number of one of their guys and he came out and did a wonderful job. They didn't have to do that, because of that, when I'm in the market for new appliances, they'll get the chance to earn my business first. read more

The reason people choose to shop at the big box stores is because the service at this place SUCKS. Especially the blonde lady. She is brash, hurried, and pretty much only seems to care about the mighty dollar. I bought a washer and dryer from there. The dryer broke within 2 years. I called to schedule their service tech to come out and look at it (at my own expense, of course, as it was not under warranty), and she wouldn't even let me speak with them. She gave me a number of another company to call for the other company to come look at it. Like I said, their service SUCKS, and that's why people choose to get their appliances from Lowes or HH Gregg (or pretty much ANYWHERE else). read more

Sales personnel are friendly BUT I was sold an appliance that was 2 years old and passed off as a current model. It was a 2012 model that I purchased in 2014....I was never informed of this and I paid what the big box stores were charging for 2014 models (I thought that I was purchasing the current year model)..Deceptive practice.
