So happy with their work I'm going to give them one of my full on reviews. Estimates & Cost The damage was both near our house and further out on our property. Jeff quickly came out and surveyed everything and then did a bit of tree triage (treeage if you will, ha!!!) in determining what needed immediate attention and scheduling everything else. As for the cost of all of the work done it was beyond reasonable. Given the size of the trees and the timing I thought it would have been much more. Especially given the estimates we get from the randos who randomly ring our doorbell. Nope not falling for them, sticking with Services Unlimited from now on! Timing - aka Holiday Weekend All of this occurred right before Memorial Day weekend. Somehow all of my emergencies seem to happen on the eve of holiday weekends so I'm well versed in the various runarounds. Not here! Mother Nature struck and they were working and attentive as if it was a typical weekend. That alone is four stars in my book. They came out on Sunday morning over Memorial Day to take care of our higher priority damage. I was worried other parts of the tree could fall on the house as the wind was bad over the weekend. Their quick and professional work was greatly appreciated and gave me some peace of mind. Honestly, this stuff is scary. Triage - aka Treeage (sorry couldn't help it again) They were obviously super busy given that two tornadoes hit our area within a week. Thus they did all of our work in three separate segments over the course of about a week and a half. They had to deal with more pressing tree on house situations in the area yet they still managed to fit us in when they could. To anyone that has experienced the wrath of a large downed tree timing is critical especially when it comes to protecting healthy trees in close proximity. Employees Their employees are fantastic and have their system down to a science. On their second visit they dealt with a huge problematic tree that was just waiting to fall on our house. Watching how they did what they did made me anxious but it was also mind blowing. Starting to get carried away here but really they're all a great team I can't stress that enough. Overall If you've made it this far, how on earth have I written this much about tree removal? A bit out of my realm but I felt the need to share because they're just that good. My neighbors used one of the doorbell ringers on their tree and the comparison is laughable. It took them five hours to do less than what took these guys 50 minutes at my house in a much more professional manner. Please, please, please consult them for an estimate. We recently bought a new house, and they removed four trees: a huge spruce over 60 years old, an elm perhaps 25 feet tall, and a holly and a dogwood which had seen better days. I thought we needed to remove a fifth but on their advice decided to keep it. Bonifant comes insured and bonded; their guys wear safety gear, including protection against poison ivy, and work fast and safe. Safety is important; I've used chain saws myself and have seen plenty of folks working on trees who take unnecessary risks. Bonifant shows up on time, cleans up carefully when done, and does a thorough job. One of the things I like most about them is that they don't just cut down trees, they know how to care for them. No matter what sort of trees are around your house, they need regular careful trimming to keep them healthy and to reduce the risk that they'll come down in a storm. Bonifant knows how to do this. Finally, their prices are imminently reasonable. I recommend them enthusiastically.

The workers were evidently in a hurry to get the job done, and cut and dropped beaches indiscriminately all over, dropping them into flower beds and breaking my tulips. When I mentioned to one worker about cutting the tree back from the house, he reached up and cut off a nice, low hanging branch not even near the house that I wanted. Previosly, in cleaning up, a worker wanted to rake up pieces in our stone sitting area, where we had a design. I told him "Don't rake the rock," a number of times, and he argued with me that he had to. When I had to check on something else, he raked the area and messed up our stone design! It makes me feel like who's the boss, the customer paying for the work, or the worker!?
