The iced americano is super weak. Very watered down and lacked flavor. They remade it poured over ice only and it was stronger but not great. Staff were friendly. Tip: if you like stronger Americanos order the small or large here as the medium only has a double shot. They have outdoor seating which was nice. I went in to get my free birthday drink and was told I had the old app and they wouldn't honor it. I'm shocked that they didn't just comp it like any other good coffee shop should have done. They directed me to their new app and an email to 'potentially' get my rewards transferred. Not very good customer service in my opinion. It was early morning Sunday drive-thru and the service was friendly and quick. I ordered a pistachio muffin and also a Nitro Nirvana drink. Unfortunately the muffin was quite dry and didn't seem fresh which I wouldn't have expected for an early morning pick-up. The drink was good, strong, and a great way to really "wake up!" We had some time to kill before dinner at Lindey's and stopped in here. Basil had a white chocolate raspberry mocha. He loved it so much he got a second small one. I got my favorite hot chocolate, no whip or drizzle just frothy. I'm glad the weather was perfect for this. A nice, non-cramped atmosphere. Having not been here for a while I thought I'd check to see if service and products had improved from earlier visits. Not... An iced mocha and a bacon and cheddar burrito was $13+. I waited for 15 minutes for the iced mocha and am certain that other people had been waiting equally as long for drinks. One of the owners was sauntering around apparently oblivious to the backlog. The iced mocha came hot with about four ice cubes. The burrito ($6.70) was cut in half, each half about 2.5" long. The tortilla was crispy (over-microwaved), the end 3/4" inedible. It's a nice build-out and at 9:00 AM there was one person at most of the tables nursing a drink (no food) and doing the computer thing. Bottom line: nice place to park your butt and do computer stuff. Get the cheapest drink possible. Don't buy any food. read more

This Dunn Brothers is one of the nicest coffee shops I've been to. The owners and their daughter have put so much time into personalizing the place. A kids area with a mural, a couple different spots for groups to meet, a roaster displayed right when you walk in, a spot for live music, a fireplace, a rice through-this place is huge! Incredibly friendly service that you can tell really cares about their people and their coffee. Coffee is okay. Its good if you don't care about specialty coffee. I also typically enjoy the coffee beans they roast and have available. My real issue is the fact that their lids DO NOT FIT. If you like staining your clothes, this is the best spot for you. Both the cold and hot lids don't fit and drip on you. I didn't realize it was that hard to find cups and lids that fit together. read more

I always prefer local coffeeshops and in the Twin Cities I choose Dunn Bros. This shop, however, is my new favorite. It's spacious and has lots of unique seating options (and reservable spaces, too!). They've nailed the atmosphere and as someone who works in Arden Hills I couldn't be more proud of how they've made this brand new place feel like an Arden Hills fixture that's been in the neighborhood for years. We came here to meet family and came specifically here for the play area for kids. It kept our kid busy the whole time. There are a variety of toys and a kid sized table to play and draw at. They also have changing tables in the bathrooms. They had an extensive food menu and multiple beverage options. There was a lot of seating and tables. The play area is a plus. read more

The coffee, good. the other drinks and food, good. The prices, not terrible. But the large painting of the animals towards the back? Unsettling. The artist made a beautiful scene that WOULD make you feel comfortable and safe and free from the world that confines us, but three of the creatures in the painting STARE INTO YOUR SOUL AND MAKE YOU SHUDDER. You might be thinking, "oh don't be so dramatic. Just drink your coffee and get over it." No. I can't. These deer and fox look at me with their judgmental stares and tell me I'll never be safe. They want me to know that if I don't sleep with one eye open until the day I die, they will come for me. What can three harmless, painted forest creatures do to me you ask? I don't know. But it's the not knowing that let's your mind run until you've soiled your shorts without even realizing it. I thought that the Holy Word of God was the only thing capable of dividing soul and spirit, but then I locked eyes with these abominations. I believe I had an out-of-body experience, and not the good kind. The kind where you are falling further and further from your earthly form until you are convinced there is no possible way back. The feeling of hopelessness and tragedy in that moment could leave you traumatized for life. That's what it's like to see these creatures. Think I'm exaggerating? Come and experience for yourself. This place is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. I spend a lot of time in coffee shops all over as I travel, and this is one of the nicest shops I've been to. Beautiful interior with lots of space (and fresh flowers on every table!) A really nice variety of seating options...high tops, small and large tables, counters, etc. An really nice kid's play area, two unique meeting rooms that can be reserved, fireplace, and more. Really friendly employees. A much larger food selection (sandwiches, soups, etc.) than many coffee shops. Oh...and the coffee is great too! read more

I'm already a Dunn Bros fan, but wow, this is next level. Fantastic place to study, with relaxing music at just the right volume I didn't need to put headphones in to tune anything out. That's my coffeeshop ideal, but it's never actually happened before! Plenty of outlets, space to work or socialize, comfortable seating, clean unisex bathrooms, lots of parking, a cute kids' play area, and reservable meeting rooms with whiteboards. I got so much done while I was waiting for my car to get out of the shop! A warning for Bethel (and maybe Northwestern) alumni, though: you WILL see at least 5 people you know. Cool place, but an employee ran a wet dry vacuum continuously for at least 5 minutes in the main part of the seating area. She was cleaning the coffee roaster. Those type of vacuums generate 85 or more decibels. Insanely loud, my sister and I eventually gave up trying to talk. read more

Dunn Brothers is always ready to accommodate me and are doing such a wonderful job dealing with the challenges that COVID-19 brings. I look forward to when they are able to open once more because their shop provides a wonderful seating arrangement that allows for conversation with friends or a quiet place to study. They also have study rooms that are wonderful for studying for finals with a group of friends and classmates.
