Love everything about Hope Breakfast Bar in all locations! Great food and service - always wonderful!

Second visit to this location, not as busy as the last time here, but still bright and inviting. My server was great again, staff here all have been wonderful so far , but what impressed me most was 1 server coming in and the other servers immediately wishing her happy birthday, and shortly after, 2 male servers came in and the manager immediately congratulating both of them on something/whatever.... a business where people care about one another and are invested! KUDOS! I definitely love that about this place and want to continue to visit because they care about their people. As far as today's food, I wanted to try something outside of the box and not yet featured on Yelp, so I opted for the Southern Style Fried Chicken and Waffle. The waffle, no notes, tasty, not doughy, simple. The sausage gravy, delicious. The jalapeño cream cheese syrup, absolutely my favorite part of the whole dish. The chicken, let's discuss. Four pieces on top the waffle, and looked like a ton until I started digging in. Way over breaded (see photos), chicken was tasty and moist but the breading was way too much. If you love extra breading, this is perfect. If you don't mind peeling off a lot of extra breading, this dish is a good offering. In town for a few days and stopped in with a friend for her sister birthday brunch. Ambiance is casual and bright and decor is very nice. The staff were friendly though we were sat for awhile before our waiter came to our table to acknowledge us. I ordered the beef tacos and a sugar free vanilla latte. My friend got the same tacos but she tried the horchata latte. Overall, the food was good and the tacos were loaded up and very filling. I would have liked more of the pickled cabbage. I was surprised (in the best way) to find out Hope's Breakfast opened a Blaine location finally something this good close to home! I ordered the smoked salmon on an everything bagel and wow... so delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of cream cheese. This alone is reason to come back. As for drinks, I went in curious and came out impressed. The birthday cake shot was sweet and fun, exactly what you'd expect. The espresso martini was a solid pick, especially if you're a coffee lover -- dark, bold, no Baileys, just good espresso flavor. The pistachio martini was a little out there for me, but the blueberry muffin martini? Super unique and actually tasty like a dessert in a glass. Service was friendly and on top of things, just a bit slow at times, though to be fair it was a packed Sunday morning. Stopped at Hope Breakfast Bar to fuel up for a day of shopping. Great experience start to finish. The Latte's were both delicious. The star of the show was the Biscuit and Gravy. This is not your traditional sausage gravy from your local Mom and Pop, but don't let that scare you off. The Mushroom Gravy is savory and earthy, a great combination for the amazing biscuit that was fluffy and delicious. The eggs were also executed well, and I believe finished with a light chive oil, nice touch. The Banana Churro Waffles were enjoyed by my beautiful bride, she said they were Amazing but by the end the sweetness got to her, truly an amazing feat. Heads up, you will want to get a reservation on the weekends, popular place drawing from all over the metro. Will definitely be back to try some of there creative dishes. read more

Came for Father's Day brunch and very glad we had reservations. The place was quite packed. It was also incredibly loud and really hard to hear each other in the space, but we managed. Service was okay. Food was very good. A couple notes: Giant pickle pretzel was good and the dip was great, but the big pan it comes out on is obnoxious- there is not enough room for the pan it comes out on. Reuben bowl was good, but wasn't a fan of all the carrots and potatoes- I thought it mentioned hashbrowns. This was more like a dinner plate than a brunch item. Carnitas bowl was said to be very good and filling. Salted Cinnamon roll waffle- was said to be delicious. They have a very good menu- lots to choose from. Tables are very small with too much stuff on it and the booths are quite small. Tables are pretty close to each other. Great option for brunch in between a Wild Bills and Tavern Grille. read more

Amazing first-day experience! We were blown away by the incredible service and food on their opening day. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a team of genuinely friendly and welcoming staff--it made such a great first impression. For drinks, we had the Aperol Spritz and the Orange Dreamsicle--both were refreshing and delicious. For our meals, we tried the Reuben bowl and the Hawaiian bowl. Food was primarily fantastic, but whoever made this batch of pimento cheese was extremely heavy handed with whatever hot peppers were used, NOT pimento's... maybe habanero or an even spicier kind. Our new favorite place! We went at 9 a.m. on a super busy Saturday and were seated right away and had the best server ever. She was efficient and genuinely friendly and the food was top-notch. I had a fancy latte from the drinks menu, and my husband and I had the smoked salmon breakfast with an extra side of cheesey grits, and a waffle (my husband is hollow). All of the food arrived hot and were amazing. We were concerned about crowds and noise, but were pleasantly surprised how welcoming it was. We will definitely eat here again. read more

First time at the new Blaine location. It's a lovely space but it gets really loud in there. It was very busy even on a weekday. I would highly recommend making reservations. Our server was great. We ordered coffee to start off. We got the Pistachio Cardamom coffee and the Horchata Cafe. I was a little disappointed with the Pistachio Cardamom coffee. The coffee had really good Pistachio flavor but I couldn't taste the Cardamom at all. The Horchata Cafe was good. For food we got Smoked Salmon and Pimento cheese scramble, Bacon Tacos and Pina Colada French Toast. The Smoked Salmon with the Pimento Cheese Scramble was delicious. The smoked salmon was delicious. Everything together was a perfect bite. Bacon Tacos were good. Guacamole was the best thing on the tacos. The taco had really good flavors but the Pork Belly was a little disappointing. Not sure how the Pork Belly was cooked but I think if they were fried it would have added more texture and flavor to the dish. The French toast was good as well. It was supposed to be like a Pineapple upside down cake. The Cream cheese Maple Syrup was delicious but the Pineapples on there were not caramelized at all, still pretty raw. My wife and I went here about a week ago and I have to say it was disappointing. The service was good but the food was disappointing. I ordered the Smoked Salmon with pimento eggs hashbrowns and toast. The Salmon had no smoke flavor and the pimento eggs had little flavor and the hashbrowns were served under the eggs and toast making them soggy and didn't taste that good either. My wife ordered some taco bowl egg dish that wasn't all that flavorful either. All that came to about $60 with tip. Pretty spend for a underwhelming breakfast, we won't be going back. read more

The restaurant is an open concept with industrial style ceilings, so it was incredibly loud in the restaurant. We found ourselves yelling at the table in order to hear each other better. Father in law had a hard time maneuvering to his seat with his walker with the awkward placement of tables and even ran into a large plant. I got the Reuben bowl and was wishing there was less red potatoes and more sauerkraut. Hash browns may have been a better substitute. Husband had the pork belly with biscuits and gravy. I can't speak much about the grits because I've only ever eaten them once before, but they were drenched in a gravy that wasn't very savory. My husband simply said it was good, and filling, but wouldn't order that in the future. My mother and father in law both ordered a crunch bowl with carnitas. MIL liked it, FIL hated it. But he also ordered mini donuts and loved those. Everyone very much enjoyed their lattes. I had a straight up black coffee, and you can tell they don't clean the coffee maker out regularly because it tasted stale. The service was tremendous! The food was good and I was able to get a reservation on short notice. We had good service and even though they state a 90 minute time limit on dining on a Saturday we did not feel rushed. I had ordered the chicken and waffles with bone-in chicken and though they initially brought me chicken tenders they quickly re-made my order and we shared the mistake plate at the table. The food and drinks here are spectacular. The first time we went everything was excellent. It was Sunday morning and the place was busy but we had reservations, we got seated quickly and service was great. The cocktails and mimosa tower were all priced well and plentiful. Food was perfect and delicious! The second time I visited on a Monday morning, there were maybe 12 tables seated and only one server plus the hostess. Took a very long time to get waters and even longer before we could order drinks and food. They were out of cold pressed coffee so several drinks were unavailable. I ordered the same dish I'd had previously and the flavor was great but the meat was overcooked, guessing due to them being busier than expected and the kitchen in a hurry. Hopefully the poor service on our second trip is just due to them being a new restaurant and they'll get the kinks sorted and turn it into a 5* place! read more

Ambiance is really nice! I love this restaurant, it is a little bit loud, like traditional coffee shop vibes. The donuts were really good! Came out warm and not too sugary but perfect amount with the chocolate. I would not get the waffles or the sandwich again. Not my taste. I recommend the other sandwiches. As for coffee, the pecan pie latte was so good! Server was nice, she might've been busy which caused her to be distant. If you're going for service, go somewhere else. It's just a little pricey in my opinion. I'll be back because the food is delicious, but only on special occasions due to prices. It's still worth checking out even if it's a lil pricey. This morning marked our first time dining here, and we're already planning to come back! The menu has something for every breakfast craving, and they're all delicious. My wife enjoyed the Red Velvet waffles, while I opted for a heart-healthy biscuit with sausage gravy. I also added the loaded potatoes, and WOW! It was absolutely delicious. Once seated, it took over 10 minutes just to place our drink order, and we didn't receive our drinks until 11:50 -- a full 40 minutes after our scheduled reservation time. The sea salt caramel coffee was underwhelming and lacked flavor. The Hope Breakfast came with surprisingly small portions. We also specifically asked for the syrup on the side with the chicken and waffles, but it arrived completely drenched, leaving the dish soggy and disappointing. It's clear the restaurant is accepting more reservations than it can realistically manage and it seemed like the waiter was trying to rush out the door. Glancing around, we weren't the only ones feeling frustrated -- the expressions at nearby tables said it all. Not very attentive of server. Some food was cold and way too much sauce on the sandwiches, not sure what the sauce was but I had to remove the bread and just eat the meat. Thought bloody Marys were $5.50 per sign but check showed reg price of $14. 1 spicy bloody Mary and a steak sandwich cost almost $40 which is high but it good, could be worth it, however i've had much better for 1/2 the cost. I don't mind spending money on quality food but 6/8 of us were dissatisfied with our food. The carrot cake pancakes tasted more like pumpkin spice. The majority of us drove over an hour to come here and very disappointed. Also, calling ahead and leaving messages to confirm our reservation was never answered so I ended up going online to reserve and had to push us out from 11am to 12pm. The food was delicious and presented with flair. The waiter was friendly and helpful with suggestions. The only issue was how loud it was in the room. The waiter had to speak up to talk with us.
