This is a little late but I think it should be recognized. I came in to purchase a hot chocolate, hot coco if you will. And the young woman who served it to me, I believe her name was Caelynn. She was very rude and shot many dirty looks at me. Definitely do not appreciate this kind of behavior. I was simply trying to purchase my beverage and be on my way and when I left I heard her say something to me. As I made my way back to my Ford Explorer I locked eyes with her as she stared at me through the window. I felt very threatened and unwelcome. Im a hot coco enthusiast and I think that really ended my time at this establishment. Will not be returning. read more

Hello. I am writing a review to share my experience that took place at Dunn Brothers in New Richmond. I occasionally come in, and service has always been very fast and friendly. I have recently noticed since around January, there has been a young woman here that has been very rude to me every time. I have been coming here for a while, and I do not appreciate the aggressive attitude this girl has. She has black hair. Anyways, the coffee here is very good and I will continue to return. But, I definitely do not appreciate who this business has been hiring. Reading reviews, it sounds like somebody else had a similar experience to me. I'm writing 2 stars for the service lately. The coffee and service here are absolutely fantastic. If they don't have the type of beans roasted to your liking, they offer to roast it as soon as possible. I've never been dissatisfied with trying new coffees also, they deliver as promised. This location is my go-to, even if I have to drive more than 30 minutes. read more

This was probably my worst experience at any coffee shop, whether it be chain or small local business. The "barista's" (and I use that term loosely) seemed to have absolutely no idea what they were doing. I ordered gluten free and dairy free for a gluten free English muffin with avocado and tomato. I had to specify dairy free three separate times as she asked about cheese and whether butter on the egg was okay. When I got my muffin I am *fairly* certain it had butter on it as I started to break into hives dueing my walk home, though this could be from the wind as well. The muffin was warm but the avocado spread was pale and nearly frozen in texture. The tomatoes were refrigerated (which changes the texture of tomatoes immensely) and flavorless. It was the saddest rendition of avocado toast that I have ever been served. I finished my entire sandwich while waiting for our coffees and eventually approached the counter when I noticed that one barista was counting tips, one was playing on their phone, and the third appeared to be doing a wordsearch without a single coffee to be seen. Turns out, their team lacks communication and nobody had started our order. I proceeded to tell them what I had ordered and they ignored me as they searched through the computer for the order. Even after they had the order on the screen they proceeded to ask me which milk and which sizes we had asked for. I watched as the barista used the soy in the wrong beverage and had to completely start over. They start with the syrup and then the espresso followed by the foam. This would be fine if they mixed the syrup with the espresso. Since they did not and the density of the syrup is greater than the other liquids it remained at the bottom of the cup resulting in a chemical taste the further towards the bottom of the beverage. Just a tip to the staff; either stir the syrup in the espresso itself or add the flavoring to the milk before steaming. This creates a more even flavor profile. The staff did apologize for the delay but between the inattentive service, the disregard for allergies and dietary restrictions, the subpar coffee, and the underwhelming atmosphere of the shop itself I do not see myself returning. I hope this location improves as the New Richmond area desperately needs more businesses to thrive. Best of luck to the owners. read more

Stopped in to kill time while my animal was next door at our vet (highly recommended!!) and the staff here was so friendly and professional! I LOVED that this place offered many GF options!! I'm in New Richmond a few times a year and will be stopping here to enjoy the excellent coffee that is roasted in house. Went through drive-in this morning and employees weren't wearing masks. I asked why and the young girl at the window claimed that a lot of employees there have a medical exemption. BS. You could be serving Covid coffee?! Gross. Keep your politics out of my morning joe, you're putting all of your customers at risk. This is the second time I've gone there where the baristas were rude, didn't know what we actually ordered, weren't polite and were wearing baggy sweats and crop tops. All that isn't the biggest issue that I had - my daughter (who is 3 1/2) got a child size hot chocolate. The barista said that it was just a little warm so I trusted her and gave my daughter the cup. The moment she sipped it, she started crying and screaming. The beverage was scalding hot and burnt her mouth, tongue and leg where she dropped some. I should have tested it, I know but to tell someone it was a little warm when it was scalding hot (hotter than my husbands actual coffee) is ridiculous. I called in to talk to a manager and was told there wasn't a manager in today - I'm shocked that they don't have a MOD but I will be calling back in tomorrow. We won't be returning. read more

I'm a coffee snob and really struggle finding good coffee like in Europe. That said this place is a breath of fresh air for New Richmond. I wanted to rate this a 4 due to the inconsistent baristas. Usually they make my simple cappuccino's correctly. They have two that are very good followed up with a few that need more work. Staff is very professional and pleasant. Keep up the good work and happy to not have to drive to Chilkoot for a yummy coffee. Very warm and friendly place! By leaps and bounds the best coffee in New Richmond. read more

I'm giving 1 Star for each time they have gotten my order correct. 1 out of 5 times... I started to look around for the hidden cameras - because this has to be joke, right? If you are feeling adventurous, give it a try. You never know what they may serve you! read more

They consistently get my order wrong. I usually have to plan on sending food and drinks back, at least 3 times, to have them correctly made.

Being new to New Richmond and a former Dunn's Employee....this place is great. I loved the avocado toast. Super tasty! I was a lil bummed that the Nitro cold press pump was down (which is what I came for to be honest) Employees seemed nice and friendly. I will be back. Happy almost 1 week you guys! read more
