After discussing the numerous color options that would match the tile we brought in, she found a color that we both loved (a feat in itself for my husband and I to agree). I am a long-time customer of Dunn-Edwards and wanted to go on record that I appreciate you keeping the stores open during the virus pandemic. More importantly, most of us Developers/Contractors cannot stop our projects during this trying time. Due to the pandemic, the designers that we use were not able to properly give me color matching in person so we reverted to FaceTime. The phone cannot show the shades of colors properly and when I was doing this, one of your employees, Rona from the Canoga Park, Topanga Canyon location approached me and said she could help with color matching. I never knew this was possible and thus, she went out of her way to look at the pictures from my phone and recommended various colors that will work and make my project pop (see pictures). Needless to say, this service proved so invaluable that we are no longer going to use a contracted designer and now use the services of Dunn-Edwards. Dunn Edwards in a nutshell is high quality commercial paint. They have formulas for interior and exterior. There are plenty of accessories and tools available too. Service here is efficient. I have been here just a handful of times and each visit has been consistently pleasant. Anneline and Jokull were so helpful and knowledgeable. There is plenty of parking in the front and back. While there are some people loitering out front they all seem relatively harmless. Once your inside you can take a number if it's busy. Usually there's a small wait even if there is just one or two customers. Set aside at least 30 minutes of time because the process is on the slower side. From my experience that is the nature at most paint stores. read more

As I am not a painter, by hobby or profession, I can only gather so much excitement for a paint store. Normally, I would cruise over to Home Depot or Lowe's or something, but we needed the exact paint to match in a room of our house, and this was what the previous owners used. That being said, here are some things you might want to know: -Their paint is expensive!!! Oh my! The gallon of paint I purchased originally cost 67 dollars. For 1 gallon of paint!!!! Luckily, the gentleman at the register put me on the 'courtesy account,' which brought the price down to 45. Apparently if you have an account (which professional painters or contractors do), you save money. If you don't, ask about the courtesy account. I'm so thankful he asked me! -Customer service was good. Besides the above example, I received help with what I needed to find and the gentleman was very kind. He even asked if I needed help getting to my car with the paint. I didn't, but it was nice. -If you happen to need a painter, there were about 15 guys hanging around outside (much like at Home Depot), apparently waiting to be hired for a job. No one bothered to ask me if I needed anything painted, as I walked out with only 1 gallon of paint. -If you go to their website, they will send you color swatches, 'look books,' with ideas for how to paint your rooms, etc. These things arrive with rapid speed. Overall, the place seems too expensive as it is merely paint. But, they do provide a good product and good service with that price. read more

I buy paint from Dunn Edwards a lot, this Topanga location has to be the worst Dunn Edwards, ever. They always make some mistake in my order. Not very helpful , either. Generally, I always buy spartawall, since its the most cost effective. Last time I was at this location a sales rep tried to sneak in a paint grade more than twice the price on my bill. I was shocked to see my paint costs was ridiculously high. I told him, I asked for spartawall and he said this is a better paint. "well, I don't care if it's a better paint, I didn't ask for this". Short story- they messed up my paint twice. I ended up going to bejamin moore next door where they got the paint right the first time. This time I was in a job in Chatsworth so the closest store was Topanga. I decided to give it a try, thou I wish I didn't. I'm a very busy contractor. I had placed 2 orders, paid them waited 30 minutes for it to come out. Gave the rep 2 receipts so he can gather my paint. It' was a very large order on one and the second 2 cans only.I told the rep specifically to check that both orders where there and he said he did but he didn't.. of course, he didn't. This is the worst store. This store is missing the helpfulness and professionalism I usually find at Dunn Edwards. I called and they said they had my paints and told me to come get them. No apologies for making my life more complicated than it has to be. The fact that I have to drive and hour Today to pick up the paint when I wasn't suppose to be in the area. Also, that I'm writing a review since I never write reviews. That's how upset I am. WORST DUNN EDWARDS EVER!!!! Go to any other store besides this one. read more

Dunn Edwards employees are all experts. in the field of paint and the chemistry of it. the price at dunn edwards was actually much less than the one at home depot. but the price was not the main issue for me. I was only concerned with a rich , true, color . and when i did my interior rooms different colors, the paint mixer came up with the most beautiful colors. I am so impressed with Dunn Edwards, when i asked a home depot employee if he has the knowledge of which colors are in my swiss coffee paint, he said he has no clue , he is just a regular employee working in the paint dept to mix the paint. Thats when I said good bye every paint color i bought at home depot was a disaster. home depot is a rip off in value and color and quality when it comes to their paint.
