We have had several issues with this place in the past. All the issues have been resolved. However, we found out that they are under new management. We are hoping that this means that the mistakes will be way less. They do acknowledge their mistakes and do try and make it right when mistakes are made. read more

I made an appointment to get my tires changed, snow tires to all seasons, I was told it would take 45 minutes. My friend took my car in while I was at work. Two hours after her arrival she called me because there was a problem with one of my tires. I called the technician and he informed me that one tire had a bulge, but actually an indentation and he refused to mount the tire due to safety. Because the snow tires had already been broke down my only option was to purchase a used tire for $130! This was the biggest scam ever. The tire they mounted was $150 new. They also insisted on keeping the "damaged" tire. The entire process took 3 hours and cost me $189 to have four tires mounted and balanced. I strongly discourage the use of Dunn tire for any services. read more

I had called earlier in the day to inquire about black rims for my car and the person on the phone was very nice. I was told to stop in anytime and they would help me. I went to Dunn tire in Jamestown in person and spoke with Jose he was very busy and frazzled seemingly and he basically dismissed me and told me to look at it online, I should've been told to do that before I made a 25 minute trip down to the store. I feel like his manner was rude and very dismissive and before I even walked away from the counter he had called the next customer. The only place I've been to that double checks your lug nut torque before you leave. That might not seem like much but I've have a shop forget to tighten the lug nuts in a front wheel and am glad I lived. They are always friendly and do a good job. I recommend them for tires over anyone. Maybe the corporate office is not hiring enough staff for the volume - they always seem overly busy. I could be wrong. read more

I wish I could give this 0 stars. What a joke you are! I don't know who is in charge here but they must have zero mechanic experience. I've been back and forth to this place and paid well over $600. All for my car yo shake and squeak like it never has before. DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT TRUST THEM. DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR CAR. They are horrible mechanics and have the knowledge of a high schooler. The guys at DUNN Tire have taken care of my tire and service for years! They know me and my car take good care of me. I have a problem with a repair on the shocks on my car and they replaced the shocks not once but twice free of charge. I have also had problem With some tires that I bought from them And again they were right there for and seen that I got new tires under the tire warranty. I went there and had (2) tires that were bad from running out of aliment they said i had to buy 4 tires so the tread is the same. What is that?? Back tires were perfect with less than 10000 miles on them. Lost all my business. Do not recommend them. read more

Went to get winter tires on last year no problem. Went back to get summer tires on and one of them was shreaded on the bead. They ended up saying my 4 tires were no good. They put a winter tire back on and the next day it was flat. They had shreaded the bead on that one. It was unfixable. I went with Dunn tire for the changing because it was cheaper. Now it's costing me more. Will go back and do my buisness with Hiller Tires where I had no problems. read more

One of the worst places I have ever been for tires. My husband and I went and the sales man was very rude and would not work with us at all. We didn't end up getting tires because of the problems we had. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone read more

Worst treatment I have ever received from a company. The staff member evaluating my car, though he is supposedly state certified, was proved wrong in his evaluation of my window tint, but instead of apologizing, he adamantly refused to pass my car, saying it was a personal judgement call, even after it had passed inspection, at that same facility, every year for the past 3 years, with no changes to the window tint during that time. He was not only wrong in his evaluation, but extremely rude about it and the manager had nothing to say even though he knew me as a repeat customer. I have 5 vehicles, none of which I will be bringing back to Dunn Tire in Jamestown, NY. I will also be telling all of my customers and friends about the poor customer service and treatment at this location, and will be advising them never to bring their cars here. read more

Was a loyal customer for many years. Not any more. Had 2 brand new all season on front of my front wheel drive car. Wanted the new tires placed on the rear and my snow tires put on the front (common sense for wny). The refused to put the snow tires on the front (stating company policy). If I blew a tire in their parking lot, I would pay to have it towed somewhere else. If There was an option for ZERO stars, I would choose it! I called for price and availability on a couple tires. Even after I told them the size, they wanted to know year, make, and model of vehicle so they could verify as if I cant read. I know this sounds trivial, but I have never had a good relationship with this company and the only reason I called is because their competitors were out of stock of my size. Another words this was perhaps my last option to get tires today. A couple years ago I needed a full set of tires for my small SUV. Dunn Tire was on my radar because I thought they were a reputable business. As anyone would do, I looked at my old tire to get the correct size... The right rear to be exact. I called them and made an appointment. When I arrived, They had three gentlemen standing around the front counter area laughing. As I stood there for about two minutes without any assistance watching these guys play sissy games with the "mechanics" in front of a clear glass wall, I became very annoyed. As I was leaving someone finally asked if they could help. I said "I see your very busy" and walked out. They basically ran over and asked me to come back in. I told them I had an appointment and needed to be elsewhere in about an hour. I was the only person in there and they assured me they would be done in plenty of time. About 50 minutes later I realized they hadn't even pulled the vehicle into the garage yet. When I brought it to their attention, They told me I was next. Around an hour after that they pulled my vehicle out. I went to the counter to pay and again I waited. Someone came out and told me they needed to take it for a "test drive". I have never had someone tell me they needed to test drive a vehicle for new tires so I became very suspicious. I walked around to the right rear tire... yes the same one I read the tire size off of, and noticed the center hub cover was missing. They told me it probably fell off awhile ago. I told them it was on there when I checked the tire size today. Then he said it must have fallen off on the drive to Dunn Tire. Funny that it was on there for years, but in that 3 mile drive from my house to Dunn, it managed to loosen and fall off. Then I realized they had broken a stud and my tire was only held on by 4 of 5 lug nuts. When I pointed that out, he had the nerve to tell me it only had 4 when I brought it in! I was so angry I told them "Don't worry, it will never happen again"! PLEASE do not go here!!! This is by far the shadiest place to shop. For a small town, there are plenty of other options. read more
