Was very knowledgeable in the industry and helped me with some questions I had but was just to embarrassed to ask at other shops. Explained in detail the benefits or a vaporizer as opposed to a dry pipe. I was in the market of buying my grandmother a vaporizer since she was diagnosed last year with cancer and the doctors are prescribing medication in droves. I NEVER write opinions or reviews on anything, however I simply had to about this place. Been vaping since 2010 been all over US to various vape shops. I recently moved back to this area having been gone few years traveling. Duo smoke shop has impressed me from the minute I walked in today like no other shop before. This store should be role model for others to follow. The extremely friendly, non pushy knowledgeable staff is top tier!! Made me an instant returning customer. Okay, lets get a few things straight here. If you are complaining about cost of glass at this place, you have absolutely no idea what you are looking at. This place stocks PREMIUM AMERICAN BOROSILICATE GLASS. Some of the nice. If you're looking for a shitty "cheap" chinese pieces whittier is littered with them, they usually have "tobbacco" somewhere in the name. I picked up the Devol blue/green/white reticello canteen vapor rig here at a great price. I also noticed they have the best prices on toro glass I've seen anywhere. I've been coming to the shop since it opened 4 months ago and watched the, progress this place has become. All named brand prices yet affordable. Came in and purchased replacements coils for my vaporizer and yhe owner was telling me that he's actually offering free delivery within a 5 mile radius from there whittier store. He also said that the Pasadena store is a pilot program, with success. For a place that has been in business for a minimal time you have to check out the last things within the industry. this to update my 1st review, went back to see and asked the proprietor of DUO SMOKE SHOP and asked if they do any glass repair? to my amazement, they do.....i was told only named brand pieces that use bio silica glass. Once again i was schooled by Rob and he didn't explain it in a way that made me feel stupid.All glass repairs are done in Santa Barbara by master craftsman. Turnaround time is approx 3 weeks...can't wait read more

Went this evening to buy something for my honey. The guy behind the counter, I was too silly to catch his name, was very funny and informative. He gave me a few options and gave honest feedback about the items. He did not push to buy higher priced items.
