OVERALL The Minds Eye II is a small spiritual shop in Norwalk, CA. My friend who used to live in Norwalk referred me here. She mentioned it's a family-owned business! In the future, I will be visiting here for additional raw and tumbled stones - plus an assortment of gifts like incenses, tobacco necessities, and jewelry. ENVIRONMENT At least during COVID-19 restrictions, you'll probably drive up in the late afternoon and see a line out the door. They are simply just minimizing the amount of patrons in the store. Wear a mask, or don't. SERVICE All of the employees are just so welcoming and warm. I was overwhelmed at first, but they helped me find what I wanted. MY FAVORITE PART... How organized the stones were - and they put informational cards near said stones and encourage you to take them even if you don't buy that stone. NOT SO FAVORITE PART... It's not a biggie because I'm extremely patient, but sometimes other patrons can take a while at certain displays. THE GOODS + Large cluster of aragonite ($19.99) - this is what I came here for on 12/11/21. It's so much more beautiful in person. + Small pyrite bracelet ($11.99) + They have Zodiac symbol jewelry that's super cute. + Boil stones... going to have to re-read about these, but they sell 'em. + I make my own sage bundles at home, but if you're not into gardening they sell an assortment of sage plus palo santo is really great for cleansing. + I just want to meditate in front of their large stone collection. It's a separate, beautiful display. That amethyst! PARKING This is a smaller plaza, so the lot fills up fast sometimes. In the past year, I have noticed a heavier population of transients and homeless folks around the corner. TIP If it's your first time at the shop, let them know at the cashier register! They'll hook you up with a freebie. I received a free incense as well as a small piece of smoothed selenite. Plus I got a $2 off my next purchase coupon. While I was in the shop, many customers came in, and they all seemed like regulars, chatting happily with the owner. I'm a little disappointed by the store I used to be a big fan of the place and would visit it every week after school to check out what was in today and it gave off that safety warm feeling where you're just spending time with people who share the same spiritual practices as you. There was a mother who worked there who was very sweet and helpful with anyone who walked in back in and from the past reviews I see I guess she retired. When I visited last month the new employees seemed very standoff or just didn't seem to care about what you're buying and just after your money which felt disgusting. And when I asked if they still sell these oils their response was "if it's not on the shelf we don't sell it" in a rude manner as they proceeded with there conversation but I kept my calm cause I have a temper too and I don't just let ANYONE talk to me like that. I ended up buying Sage, Santo Palo, and what I believe was an Angel Quartz Crystal? (She didn't know what it was either apparently so kudos to that) and resumed with my day. I brought it with my sister who's spiritual and majors in Geology btw! Informed me that my crystal was fake!!!!! And for the price of $70 of course I was furious. Whoever is running the store needs to make major changes and buy REAL AUTHENTIC CRYSTALS from someone than buying fake ones made from pure glass. And whoever is the woman at the register needs to be a little nicer to customers and if you don't like your job you can please go somewhere else. I'm going to find my business elsewhere because the magic the original woman had is no longer there and now the store feels like another spiritual Cash grabbing store and for it to be a "Family Business" it should be really eye-opening. For any future customers please confirm your crystal is real and do your research because personally how those women were that day I just can't trust them. At first I was very skeptical of energy from objects and if it really worked, a friend recommended this place to me so I thought I'd give it a try. Staff: Super polite, lots of positive feedback and knowledge of each product in their store. Cleanliness: The store seems to be very clean, they have an insane amount of gems and crystals in here so I'm assuming it constantly needs to be wiped for dust, so far everytime I'm in here there's never dust or anything dirty on shelves and I take that as a huge plus for 1) being allergic to dust and 2) having asthma and dust affecting me so thank you guys for keeping it clean. Products: The bracelets i purchased helped a lot, I won't get into deep detail but let's just say these things are the real deal, if anything is bothering you, luck, life, anything. Go check out a crystal I'm sure it will help you. Prices: You get what you pay for, and that's quality. I've never had an issue with my bracelets unraveling or breaking so that's definitely a plus! There is a capacity I think of 10? Usually when I go there 10-15 people inside and a line outside, I've been inside with a line outside and I've been outside in the line, it takes 10-15 mins but it is very well worth the wait. This shop is fabulous!. It's been around for over 20 years and it is a well established business. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. There's plenty of staff available to assist customers and answer questions. There is a big selection of crystals, jewelry, incense, sage, herbs, greeting cards, glass pipes, decor, books and more. I was very impressed with how well organized their crystals are placed in bins. I appreciate that their bulk crystal pricing is straight forward; and that they have set prices. Unlike other businesses who charge by the weight. I also like that they hand out coupons. They also offer a free gift with purchase. Limited capacity. I arrived 20 minutes before the store opened because they get real busy. There's usually a big line to enter the store. I look forward to visiting this shop again. My good friend and I were having lunch at Kitakata Ramen Ban Nai - Buena Park on one fine Sunday in October. She treated me lunch for my birthday. Afterwards, she suggested we swing by Minds Eye II that was nearby. We both are into crystals and bracelets so why not. I didn't know what to expect since I've never been to a full blown crystals store before until that day. It had a variety of beautiful crystals, bracelets, rocks, tarot items, and many more magical stuff. I was amazed on the vast selections. I love the little cards (they are free) that describe the crystals and what they are good for. They provide little clear bags for you to place each item in. They ask you to write the price on the bags for certain items that don't have a price tag on them to help the checkout process to be faster. We ended up spending a good hour or so looking around and I ended up spending about $200+ worth of goodies. For every $25, you get to pick out one gift so with my $200+, I got 8 gifts, but I ended up with one big gift (thank you to the owner for her gracious generosity) which I gave to my good friend. My friend bought some stuff, too, but didn't spend as much as I. I have to say, I had fun shopping at this store, but at the same time, I felt kinda nervous because I didn't want to disturb the energies (not sure how to explain it). The owners (Mom and daughters) were very warm, friendly and pleasant people. They were very helpful and knowledgeable in every way... they know their stuff. The store was clean and organized. Some of the prices were a little high IMHO, but the quality was good though... perhaps that justifies it. Anyway, check out Minds Eye II when you're in the Norwalk or neighboring area. Cool story. I happened to be at court in Norwalk and stopped by the acupuncture spot next door. Didn't even get treatment...yet when waiting for a ride, I walked into the Mind's Eye II store and took a quick look around, about a minute before something caught my eye. During that moment, I was looking at a fluorite point amomgst others, the only crystal that caught my attention. I picked it up and it read 14.9 on the sticker...and suddenly there was a honk outside for my departure. I wasn't expecting to buy anything, yet I asked a question about what stone it was. In my pocket I had 14 dollars and 75 cents after a cup of joe I had just bought, and a bag of various change in case I needed to catch a bus on my way. The gentleman at the front desk informed me and gave me a colorful and descriptive card about fluorite. Keep in mind I know nothing about crystals, so this was cool! That card came in handy as I drove off and told the driver of my expansive day at court learning about all the challenges I'd have to confront, be them serious news to me and a manifestation of my root trauma showing me how taking on these obstacles rather than allowing them to disturb me is going to help me transcend the pain experience and grow through it. Learning how fluorite is intended for healing and focused clarity, along with all the higher chakras of the heart, third eye and crown, I thought this was awesome and just what I needed! While explaining how all experiences are connected to the driver, and how cool having just the right amount of money for the crystal was, how my energy was pulled to this fluorite point of all things, and it was just what I needed amidst the chaos of my own self-discovery throughput the day, I brought my attention to what can be done...Having missed my chance at further inquiry, I called the place, asked for the gentleman at the front about holding that crystal for me as I would be back in the area tomorrow. The next day they would be closed he told me. He asked if I could pay online, which I agreed, and when I asked about shipping, he went out of his way to ask about and give it to me free, which I later found out free shipping doesn't even come unless you have a minimum order of $25 (don't quote me on the price, that's not the point), and he sent me a custom link to my email. I'm all excited waiting for my first crystal, and it turns out when I receive it, I get a thank you card from the 'small family owned business' (I had no idea, so cool), and a bonus crystal which I believe to be raw clear quartz, a $2 off card coupon for my next visit, and a beautiful purple bubble mailer that smelled amazing!
