The moment we walked through the front door people were ready and happy to help us. We worked with Kelly Cleary. She was professional, efficient and kind. ATM at the Downers Grove location is always broken. The DG location no longer accepts foot traffic. And they will decline your debit card if you try to use it at a non-DPCU ATM. They literally make it impossible to access cash. read more

Up Until a month ago, I would have gave this bank a five star review. I've had them for over 10 years now. A month ago I started experiencing problems. My problem began when they demanded I get a new bank card because it may have been compromised due to suspicious activity. I assured them the activity was me, and I had the card in my Possession. They did not charge me for this card. However, being that it was a new card my funds were not easily Available and DuPage did not help. I had money, just couldn't get to it. Then, a few weeks later I had lost my card and Went to the bank for a new one. I was frantic and Crying because they were close to closing and weren't offering to even cancel my card. I stepped outside to collect myself for a minute and they immediately locked the doors behind me. So I proceed to the drive thru to ask for a new card, they told me I had to be inside. Well, they just locked the doors on me. The teller was a very nice gentleman who was the only person to offer me help. I was told I would have to come back the following day inside to get a new bank card. The following day I went to the bank when they opened and they told me I would need to schedule an appointment because the office branch manager was busy, I witnessed the office manager making small talk in another coworkers office. Not looking busy by any means. Mind you the next appointment abailable was in a WEEK! Initially, when I went into days prior and spoke with the branch manager and she had asked me what happened and I was explaining to her how upset I was with their customer service she told me she didn't need my attitude and stopped listening to what my problem was with their branch. Then, I try to get my significant other on my bank account and they deny him. Yet, they accept his direct deposit checks into my account with his name on the check every Friday. Now, I'm trying to go to the ATM and it keeps saying the amount I'm asking for is too much. Mind you, I am only trying to withdraw $30 when I have hundreds available in my account. I have tried three different ATMs and also getting cashback at the store and I am denied. I can make regular transactions, just not get any cash. I have never in my life had this many problems with this bank until recently and I am the furthest thing from happy. I will be closing my account as soon as they are open Monday morning because their customer service and the unfortunate technicalities are extremely unacceptable. I have lived in the Downers Grove community for over 20 years, and I work with the public very closely in Downers Grove and I will make sure if banking ever comes up in a conversation, that I speak nothing but negatively about your branch. I have been a credit union member for over 15 years but that will be coming to an end soon. Customer service has gone down the toilet the past few years. They seam to think they can treat you like garbage, like the big banks out there, but not offer the same accessibility, account variety or services. We wanted to really like this place and get a mortgage with them because of the benefits to going with a credit union. We went in to start the paper work process. The rep was great! She was very personable and friendly. She sent out our paper work on to a mortgage loan officer, Nora. She seemed a bit detached when I explained our situation over the phone. She later emailed me asking for documents which I sent right away, but I also asked her a few brief questions. That was a Thursday. I didn't hear back from her Friday, Monday and on and on until the FOLLOWING Monday! No apology or explanation as to why she hadn't replied. Very brief and blunt response. She seemed uninterested in keeping our business. I reluctantly agreed to call another bank because I didn't want to go through another application process. Wow, what a difference! This new person responded like she wanted our business. Would not recommend. read more

I call them Beige CU, because there isn't a single thing about this bank that isn't completely bland, including the specials and their customer service. A good thing to note is that they have a fee for closing your account in less than 90 days. read more

It's a bank. They are very friendly people particularly at this and the Wheaton branch. Offer great interest rates with low APR's. 5$ minimum to keep an account open. Overdraft fee of 21$ compared to chase being 50. It's a credit union. They are for the members. read more

The review below is ridiculous. They have rules and they must be followed. What if a car hit you while that teller was "doing you a favor"? He could lose his job. Rules are rules. Also, if you don't like their hours then go somewhere else. You obviously looked at their hours when you became a member right? Anyways, I have been extremely pleased with this credit union. It is a bare bones installation and you don't need to worry about somebody approaching you to sign you up for the bank's latest offer. I've had nothing but positive experiences as a member of Dupage Credit. I walked into the DG branch with the intentions of opening a savings account for the car I was going to need to buy in the near future. Since than, Matt Bretz has helped me open an account, walked me through my credit score and how to improve it and financed my new car loan. Thanks to attending the educational seminars they hold at the main branch, such as the Car Buying seminar, I was rewarded with a free gas card when I closed on my loan. Which might I add came with some low interest rates. I couldn't be happier with the way Dupage Credit has treated me AND my finances. As someone who's had a basic checking account at larger financial institutions, it's nice to walk into a bank that cares about my financial stability just like they care about their own. read more

I joined the credit union for their amazing mortgage and auto loan rates. I cannot get over how low they are. I refinanced my home loan and bought a new car because of this bank. Another thing I love is their mobile app for iPhone. It's just as good as the larger bank apps. Only thing bad I can say is that if you plan on making a large withdrawal you need to let them know ahead of time because they don't keep a lot of cash on hand. There visa department is benign. My credit limit was lowered due to a mistake from BANK OF AMERICA to Trans Union. After the correction and my score back to 765 they told me I had to reply. The argument was you lowered it due to a mistake it's fixed put it back the way it was. Each idiot in that department read me the same standard answer and apologized. This place is a stepping stone to larger banks. They don't have much authority and just frustrate you and have to keep pushing and waste time to resolve anything. I have never done business with them after that incident. read more
