All I wanted was a bigger pot for the ficus elastica, well, my kids actually and Yes, I did…read morerecently learn the Latin name for Rubber Plant / Rubber Fig. "Hey there's the nursery we got my rubber plant from!!" I heard yelled out from the backseat. "Ok, kid, let's stop in to get a bigger pot to move your plant into. I swear all I wanted was a new pot for our indoor plant, but when you're there you remember that 15 gallon planter that's been sitting empty on your front porch, the potting soil you'll need to fill the new pot to replace the old, and a plant to go into it. Sure, I looked confused and lost and that's probably what clued Gina in on asking if she can drive us around in her golf cart and show us (but mostly my kid) all the plants, the bunnies that have made the fruit bearing tree section of Moon Valley Nursery their home, the birds that flock to their trees and all the different plants you could really ever want both indoor and out. "Daaamn Gina..." (is what was replaying in my mind on a loop, but I not dared to say out loud - throwback to 1990's Martin Lawrence sitcom, Thursdays on Fox) Had I never met you Gina, I would have probably found my new pot and made my way home having only the *one thing to do, but no, you had to go answer *all of my hundred questions about what plant will be good on my porch, no I don't want to attract bees to my front door, maybe something that won't grow taller than the ceiling of my porch, so those cool looking fruitless olive bushes are out, but boy do I wish I could put one there. So yes, as you may have already surmised, I left with our new pot, a bag of potting soil, a rosemary plant (because rosemary is actually a detractor for most insects and you can get fresh rosemary for your meals to boot) as well as a jug of their moon juice fertilizer. So... It's crazy how expensive this new pot for the rubber plant was $140, but look at all this other "free" stuff that came with it, right?!?!? Well Gina, you were certainly wonderfully helpful, you answered every question I had and a few others I didn't, you made our visit more like an adventure through the nursery and helped my finish two projects with one visit. Whomever at Moon Valley Nursery is responsible for having hired Gina, you made wonderful choice!

He even came to our home to help us plan our landscaping, and throughout the entire process, he made us feel like we were his only customers. Matt took the time to listen to our vision, offered thoughtful recommendations, and shared his expertise without ever making us feel rushed. His knowledge, professionalism, and genuine passion for what he does made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. Exceptional customer service is hard to find these days, and Matt truly exceeded every expectation. If you're looking for someone to help with your landscaping, do yourself a favor and ask for Matt. It puts the little guy out of business, but with service like this, this is why the little guy is out of business. The person who picked up the phone had an attitude of "why are you bothering me". I called and asked about coat hooks. She said yeah we have coat hooks. I asked, "could you tell me what you have because I'm not looking for the racks, I'm looking for the individual hooks." We have a "Ace brand coat hooks" she said. I said "could you tell me about them, are they metal?" She said "they're metal." I said "are they sold individually? How many are in the pack?" She said "one." I said "how much are they?" She said "$2.99." Her tone was flat and dismissive. I was trying to get her to tell me about them before I came down. If she didn't feel like it, she should've passed the call on. If her attitude was, "just come down and look at them" she shouldn't be in the customer service business. Now if that's true that's not much of a selection. If that's not true that's pretty sad because I would've went right down there and looked around. I always buy more items when I look around.

There are a number of stores to buy stuff for homes, but the one that has the right name and some…read moregreat items at great prices is none other than At Home, which has a store near me. My wife enjoys shopping here, and I enjoy taking her and keeping her company as we both look around. We most recently stopped by At Home looking for black out curtains and for a rug/carpet of a certain color. We ended up finding both but only bought one for now. My wife had a birthday coupon to use for a discount off an item. We also found other items that we put aside in our mind to come back and get another time. On previous visits, we either got outdoor patio cushions, grilling supplies, holiday items, or framed pictures to name a few. If you visit the At Home Phoenix location website (https://www.athome.com/store/arizona-phoenix), you will find plenty of items listed including sales and clearance items, a store map and directions, store hours, the return policy, Q&A, and more. Shopping options include pickup and delivery. The store hours are 9 AM to 9 PM daily. By joining their Insider Perks (for free!), you can get a 15% coupon off on your next purchase, a birthday coupon for 15% off, exclusive Insider Perks Deals, hassle-free receiptless returns, gifts with purchase, sweepstakes and more. I have enjoyed past contests and sweepstakes in the store including a scavenger hunt during the Winter holidays of 2024. Also on their website, you can take advantage of a free 2-hour pick-up or same-day delivery starting at $10. This store has helped us make our home feel like a home thanks to At Home!

This store is a sensory nightmare. If you have any sort of migraines, sensory issues, hate loud…read morenoises, or just want to talk to the person you're with, don't go to this location. As you walk in, there is a high pitched store alarm going off at the entrance. You can see the box and the lights flashing, indicating an alarm is happening. No employees seem to notice or be able to do anything about it. They just keep doing whatever they're doing. Then as you walk further into the store, that aforementioned alarm gets much louder to the point where at least 1/4 of the store is unshoppable. It gave my wife and I both terrible headaches almost instantly. We tried to escape that area and went further back into the store. Guess what? Another loud and annoying section with a broken air conditioning system vent that sounds like a jet engine. It is so loud you literally have to yell to communicate with someone 2 feet from you. All the while, employees just wander around doing their job. One did stop to apologize for the noise while my wife and I were shouting over it to pick out throw pillows. We honestly had to give up and get out of there. What a fun environment they've created at this store! If you or your loved ones suffer from migraines, headaches, or sensory issues, avoid this store at all costs!!!

Living Spaces is one of those rare retail unicorns--clean, calm, and shockingly efficient. Honestly, I almost didn't want to write this review because I selfishly want to keep it my little secret. But here we are. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and guided--not hovered over. A sales associate swooped in with the perfect balance of friendliness and know-how. We described what we were looking for, and within minutes we were trying out exactly the right options. No aimless wandering, no aggressive upsells, and absolutely zero "Do you need help?" shouted across the store. The sleeper chair we landed on is a dream--literally. Comfortable, compact, and exactly what we needed. The matching ottoman was the cherry on top, and the whole process felt like it was custom-made for us. Quick, easy, and stress-free (three words that almost never describe furniture shopping). The store itself is spotless--like, showroom-clean but still warm and inviting. Think less sterile museum, more "let's redecorate my whole life." It's truly a hidden gem, tucked away but worth seeking out. We'll absolutely be back the next time our home needs a little love--and probably a nap-friendly upgrade. Highly recommend for anyone who wants stylish furniture without the usual retail headache.
