This is just an all around fun golf experience. The course is in excellent condition. Plenty of water, bunker and dogleg challenges. Greens are a little slow - but consistent with plenty of slope. We played our first round of 2025 here. The course was in good shape. Fairways were a little bumpy but greens were smooth and fair. I played the ruby tees which were nearly 5200 yds which is a good distance. Lots of water on this one although I only put one ball in. The sand didn't seem to be a major factor either. Price was reasonable. As a twosome, we played with two singles, one local and one who was visiting but had played the course several times. They were very nice people to play with and the staff was also friendly. We split a medium bucket of balls to warm up. The driving range used mats for hitting. Balls were not included in green fees. read more

I was going to book an event at the restaurant at Duran Golf Course. I had met with the Events Manager. I called her twice on her personal number and her business number. I waited several days for her to respond to my calls. Nothing. I called and left two messages for the General Manager. Waited, again, nothing. I let some time go by hoping someone would call. I went to the restaurant and personally spoke to the GM. I told him the problem I was having with no one returning my calls. I told him I wanted to book there for the event. He said he was going to look into it. I told him if this was happening to me it may be happening to other prospective customers. I asked him to please follow up with me. It is now several weeks later and no follow up. I had a check ready to give them for a deposit. I think the right thing to do as a manager was to follow up and ask how they could have resolved the issue. I have never written a review before, good or bad, but as a business this was not handle correctly and this issue wasn't resolved, leaving me feel as those they didn't care. read more

My wife and I played this week for first time on way to Cocoa Beach. Loved the course layout, excellent condition. Summer rates are very good value. Beautiful, semi-private course in nice neighborhood. Houses were not in play. Challenging but very playable. Pro-shop and other staff were friendly. The driving range and Par 3 course so these were closed for renovation. We were told they would also be renovating greens in next year so check. Will definitely be back very soon. read more

We paid nearly $100 + gratuity for a show only two comedians into the night and I just want to leave!! Oh and we're only on the second one!! OMG! Today is the anniversary of Sept 11th! The jokes are very in appropriate for the day! The Duran Country Club should have thought this event through a bit more!! Friday is date night and we are hardly impressed! The sound system is horrible I mean seriously!! They should never sit table to the far right or far left f the stage you can see nothing.. oh except I'm by the server station 2nd worse then sitting by the bathroom. I gave this review a 3 star in fairness because the headliner Duncan was great !! Should have had him on all night and this review would have been a 5+ star.. called ahead, Made a tee time for 9 holes. Showed up on time, clubhouse said no 9 hole available at this time, only 18. Paid $75+++ fees a person for 18. After front 9 taking 2 hours 45 min, no marshal, on an easy wide course, we made the turn to 10. We found 1 group teeing off, another group in front of us waiting to tee off. That meant 35 minutes till we could tee off number 10. Heck with it, we left. They won. They stole our money, time and patience. Congrats to Duran NOgolf club read more

VETERANS STAY AWAY FROM THIS GOLF COURSE!!!!! I went to play golf today at Duran and like most other golf courses around Brevard County I asked if they honored Veterans with discounted golf. The young kid behind the counter said smugly, only Monday through Thursday do they give Veterans discounts. You have to be active duty otherwise. I was floored. So I guess Veterans who served their country are not worth a measly 4 or 5 bucks to the management of this golf course - well at least they are Monday through Thursday, but not the rest of the week when most folks play golf. I guess they think Veterans had the luxury of fighting wars 4 days a week, well I know I didn't. When I served and fought and watched my brothers die for this country it was a 24/7 affair. Unfortunately some of my brothers didn't make it back to enjoy golf like I have. I confronted the manager who stood there with a stupid look on his face and didn't even try defend his anti-veteran policy. Him and the little boy behind the counter stood there in relative silence, but I wouldn't expect anything less from a man and boy who sleep well at night knowing rough men like my veteran brothers stand ready and are willing to sacrifice their lives to protect them from evil. Nicely maintained golf course with fairly wide fairways that have many tees to challenge everyone at their proper handicap. The course also allows handicapped parking flags. Most of the holes have a variety of water, tree, and sand hazards but in general, they shouldn't cause too much trouble. Greens are placed both downhill and uphill. Many of the carriesover swampland and water are reduced at the forward tees. They holes play fairly and distances seem accurate. Maintenance staff are helpful and allow play. League play makes some days hard to find early tee times. There's bathrooms and drink machines on both nines and at tge clubhouse. read more

Could do without the smug arrogance and disregard for their paying customer's time and experience Arrived 30 minutes early for my 12:46 tee time, and upon checking in was told "just so you know, you're going to be waiting about 45 minutes because we're backed up". I'm a practical person, I realize we're all at the mercy of the elements when we play golf and things happen, but today was perfect and I was curious... "why is that?" I asked "We're having a tournament and we squeezed an extra 20 people in this morning" smug arrogance replied Now... things happen, and in the scheme of things it's really not that big of a deal. But there is also a way of handling things and showing appreciation towards your customers. Would a "sorry" have been to much effort to muster up? Would offering the 40+ people they delayed a beer while they wait have broke the bank? I doubt it... and instead I get some punk kid acting like he's annoyed that I dared to ask a question, only to find out that Duran did a cash grab this morning for 20 extra players money and expects their full price paying customers to shoulder the burden for them... or go pound sand. A sliver of respect and a dash of humility could have made the inconvenience a non-issue... but I guess that's just not a part of the business model here at Duran By the way, if you're listening Duran, I'm currently on the 2nd hole of what looks like about a 6 hour round you have stacked up. Played on Tuesday $61, played Friday $84. Greens are in terrible condition. Fairways were in fair condition but playable. Greens slow, lots of ball marks, and they have a disease. Check-in staff was not friendly. Such a shame I've played here many times in the past and the course was a gem but seems way overplayed now read more

This is a fine golf course. It is not to the level of a top country club which perhaps the bad reviewers were expecting, however it has several tee boxes which vary the challenge. The layout is very good, course is forgiving, and the fairways and greens are fine. Nothing wrong with them. I will play here again and often. It was slow today. They allowed walkers at 1 and they were SLOW. Course needs a marshall and not allow walkers until later. 5 hour round today. read more

Golf pro Abigale Schepperle is an amazing instructor. She taught this old baseball swinging non golfer with a slice that was more of a U how to hit a straight shot and adjusted my club swing in just three 1 hour lessons. I have actually had fun playing golf and can now make pars and birdies which I have never done in my 55 years of life. She is such a pleasant person to talk to and her knowledge of the game and how to correct your misgivings makes the lessons as much fun as playing the game. Thank you again Abigale read more

Came here for a work/corporate event, they have a nice sized conference room with friendly staff good drinks and good food. We had swordfish and beef tenderloin with pasta sautéed squash rice pilaf and an excellent salad. There was even fruit cheese and cracker trays. The presentation was excellent. On 10/29/17 I threw my sisters bridal shower here. I am from out of state and Jeff was able to answer all of my questions over the phone and via email. When we arrived at the venue on the day of the event the weather conditions changed from what we had previously saw on the weather reports. Our event was set up outside and due to the strong winds and lower than average temperatures the crew at Duran worked with us to move our entire part inside. We had a wonderful waitress (Karla) who worked with us every step of the way to ensure we were having the best event we could have. The brunch food was delicious and we had a wide variety of options for all type of people. All in all our event was amazing and we had a great time. I showed up to the driving range at 7:45pm just to be cussed out by the old man in the office before I could even ask why they are closed at 7:30pm when the website clearly says 9pm. Attended Mother's Day Brunch at Duran Golf Club with my party of 3. It was very well done with all the brunch offerings that you would expect. The mimosas were excellent with fresh squeezed OJ. There were inside/outside tables and my party opted for inside. The clubhouse is beautiful and comfortable. More on the pricey end of brunches, however all good. I cannot comment on the golf course, although it looked great from the patio of the clubhouse. I would consider brunch at Duran's again. read more

Duran was my favorite golf courses until this past Sunday. I am an Army combat veteran who enjoyed discounted golf at this great club, but was told on Sunday that the veteran discount is only good from Tuesday to Thursday and they won't honor any veterans discount on the weekends. The snot nose clerk was a young kid who I assume has never seen the field of battle, but rattled off this dismissive message to me like I never earned two dollars off a game of golf. Adding insult to injury, he said if I was on active duty the discount would apply. I was floored. So some guy with a couple of months in the military is better deserving of their discounted golf than a man or woman who spent twenty to thirty years defending this great nation and fighting wars not only Tuesday's through Thursdays but during weekends as well when this kid was still in diapers. It's not that I or any other veteran want their measly 10 percent off of a round of golf, it really only comes to a few bucks, but the appreciation of a grateful few that see us for who we are. We are the few that put their life on the line so they can run a golf course in unrestricted freedom. I will not set foot on Duran golf course property ever again. I will take my money to a place where they appreciate the sacrifices our veterans have made for their freedom. read more

So I took my son to Duran Golc club for Easter brunch. I've been meaning to write a review but haven't had the opportunity or even the opportunity to just reach out and call the manager and discuss the situation. I have never been to Duran for dinner or anything else that was my first experience with them and I was so disappointed. I paid for what I thought was going to be an outstanding buffet but... it was not - the food was not even lukewarm we were one of the first ones that arrived so it wasnt aa though we came later and the food just got cold their heaters under their heating dishes obviously don't work very well. The waitresses were present but I literally got up and grabbed a coffee fire to refill my son and my coffee which I think the girls could've done we obviously paid a gratuity that was included that is the least they could've done yes they were there to remove plates but if you see someone is running low on coffee running around with the pot is not a big deal!I always wanted to come to Duran for dinner but now I hesitate to do so because I wonder if it's going to be the same like my buffet mediocre at best I am so disappointed it was my last opportunity to meet with my son before he moved to California and as much as I loved the environment and seeing the children with the Easter bunny I feel like I was ripped off! This was the third and final round of golf that I played on this year's family reunion trip over at Paradise Beach Club. It's a short drive from Satellite Beach and it's fairly new. The clubhouse is beautiful. The pro shop and 19th hole are very nice. Not much of a locker room, unless I didn't see it but everything is so new that it didn't stick out too much. The pro's and shop girls were very friendly and they have an awesome practice facility. We didn't have time to hit balls this time but we did putt on their amazing practice green that's near the first hole. It's been a couple of years since I've played here and I think the last time I was here they had a temporary clubhouse in a trailer while the main one was being built. The course itself is very nice. The greens are smooth and the entire course is lush. It's fairly long from the tips, playing over 7,100 yards with a slope of 132 and a rating of 74. It will challenge the best of players and at the same time the other tee boxes are fair as long as you play the one's that correlate with your handicap/skill level. I would recommend this course to anyone that is on vacation anywhere near the space coast or beaches within 30 miles. It's even worth the drive if you are 45 minutes out. Yes, the clubhouse and pro shop are very nice. But the driving range was beat up, the tee boxes were shabby, and the greens were rough from having been aerated about three weeks ago. Place was very nice the first time but the last time I play there too. Big guy at the front at bag drop "steve"was his name, got my clubs after I put them on the rack. Got in the cart and there were so little brakes I thought was gunna go into the water. Went out and on the first hole they were cutting the rough,got to my ball, looked at the guy that was cutting,he acknowledged me and continued cutting even thru my swing. Greens were good except where you could see where the cutters skipped a piece. People were raking the sand thru my shots that I had to go over them.truthfully I almost hit one of these guys.Tough golf course I have to say and I'm a 9 handicap.Got in about noon to see the second shift person coming in and steve proceeding to yell in front of customers at him and then leave him alone to clean my clubs and the 3 others that were in my group to go have lunch. Asked the guy if thit steve fellow was his boss and he replied no.all in all it was not an exceptional experience and won't be goin back again. read more
