A couple weeks turned into over a month because life happens and I recently sent him an email asking him if he was still interested or what happened or if he had anything for me from our meeting I don't know what happened but communication went to nothing and I feel like I was ghosted after our first meeting, which sucks because I was really excited with all the ideas that he had given me for a remodel of my kitchen that is not incredibly user-friendly at the moment.

Our house was remodeled in the past with uniqueness and quality materials in mind, but with 80% completion on many aspects. We needed a contractor who could help complete our unique vision. Alan replaced a large area of cedar shakes on the back of our home, helping erase the evidence of a decayed deck we previously removed. He also crafted a solution for a corner where the previous homeowner didn't seal up the house properly. Alan was organized and gave great attention to detail. When they came to give us an estimate, Andres crawled up in our crawl space to really get a good feel for what our insulation looked like and to see how the roof looked like from the underside. They made suggestions to us for things that should be done even if they weren't the contractor that did them. After interviewing other roofers, we decided to give Innovators our business. They added some insulation in a few places that didn't have it for a very reasonable price and did a top notch job with the air flow. Now, in the heat of the summer, the house is at least a 10 degree difference from the same heat last year. It is amazing! The roof looks beautiful! They came back to fix one little part immediately and we could not be happier! So, we have hired them for 2 other projects and been completely pleased with their work. Nelson is super easy to work with on the business side and Andres is a total perfectionist when it comes to his work. He explained things to me without ever making me feel talked down to or "mansplained" to--which, as a woman who likes to understand how things work, I really appreciated. When I asked questions, he was happy to educate me about how things were installed and why, so I actually understood the process rather than just being told, "Trust me." He was also wonderfully transparent about costs. He allowed me to purchase my own materials rather than having to buy everything through him at a marked-up price, and he even suggested ways I could save money. In an economy where apparently nothing is allowed to be reasonably priced anymore, his pricing was incredibly fair. He listened to all of my ideas and helped me design a shower and bathtub that actually feels like me. He paid excellent attention to detail, and when I noticed one tiny, slightly OCD-level thing that was bothering me, he didn't roll his eyes or tell me it was "good enough." He happily fixed it exactly the way I wanted. He was punctual, responsive, and kept me updated when costs changed because additional damage was discovered in the house. When I had the absolute joy of breaking an old water pipe supplying water to the house in the middle of the remodel and had to deal with the city water department, he was patient and understanding while I was understandably a little stressed. He also sealed the trim around the room even though that wasn't part of the original bid, which was just one more example of him caring about the finished product rather than simply checking off the items on a contract.
