Spoiler alert: this review doesn't gush about how wonderful Dr. Reid and his staff are....but they are. I had an abdominoplasty with LipoSafe360, (trademarked), in November 2022. I chose Dr. Reid and Restora Austin after reading extensively about these two procedures. Dr. Reid and his partner, Dr. Gordon are the few plastic surgeons in the Austin area that are certified to do this type of "tummy tuck". I liked that the LipoSafe 360 is used to remove fat at one's flanks and back, to make a nicer appearance to one's figure. The LipoSafe is a different type of liposuction that is modified to give a smoother appearance to the areas treated. I received more than adequate pre-operative information, (printed and verbal), at my initial consultation. Dr. Reid visited with me at that consultation, and we discussed my medical conditions, his and my expectations and the plan for surgery. My nurse, Lauren, always responded to my queries within the day of my asking. I received clear and accurate information about financial options from Roxy. Roxy was also my very informed first contact at Restora Austin. From the first, she was friendly and welcoming. The day of surgery, I was greeted by the nurse at the Inspire Surgery Center, and treated with VIP care. I visited with Dr. Reid and the anesthesiologist prior to surgery. They put my concerns to rest so I walked into the OR feeling relaxed and optimistic that I was I good hands. Due to my age and some medical conditions, I was cared for overnight at the surgery center post-op. I had one-on-one care by a RN, who was wonderful, and who made sure I stayed pain free. As a side note, I would like to recommend that overnight stay, if you can afford it. It was nice to know someone was there to watch over me in those first few post-op hours. When I got home, since I had such good pre-op teaching, I was fully prepared for the post-op care, medications, and activity that I was supposed to do, and to advance my activity as instructed. Again, my nurse was available by phone or email. I felt so reassured by Lauren that my recovery was progressing normally. I was also well prepared for the lengthy recovery process. Be aware, this is NOT a quick surgery, or recovery. However, I am very happy with my results so far! My scars are nice and flat, no infection issues, and I LOVE my new figure. I have wanted breast augmentation surgery for 20 years, but for one reason or another always talked myself out of it. In 2019, when I committed to finally taking the time to do what I wanted for myself, I began my search for plastic surgeons in the Austin and surrounding areas. One thing that immediately jumped out at me (besides his lengthy and impressive list of accolades) was the fact that he himself was present for my initial consultation. I had been to consultations at other facilities for other doctors and the initial consultation was always done by a secretary or nurse. Dr. Reid has the most infectious smile and positive attitude! He made me feel so comfortable, pretty, made me feel like I was important, and reassured me that together we could accomplish what I had been dreaming of for so many years. After just the initial consultation I decided to choose Dr. Reid. From there, his office was very accommodating of my schedule and payment needs. His nurse was so very friendly and helpful and never failed to return an email or phone call when I came up with questions. Having moderate/severe anxiety, being able to communicate back and forth with Dr. Reid's nurse whenever I needed to was such a comfort and really helped me throughout the process. She was like my own personal cheerleader and he was our coach! The day of surgery came and went with a blink of an eye. Everyone at the surgery center was so warm and friendly, and very professional. They gave my spouse and I very detailed post-operative medication and recovery instructions and made sure we both were comfortable with the plan before we left. I am 2 months post-op now and feel like this is how I was always supposed to be. I feel so much more confident, fit my clothes better, feel more feminine, and am basically just a better version of my original self. I cannot recommend Dr. Reid and his practice enough. If/when I decide to have any other procedures done in the future, I will see him first. I trust his knowledge, skill, and most of all his integrity. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Reid and his staff. After dreaming for 20 years of getting a breast reduction, I finally decided to go for it! I did hours of research and narrowed it down to what I felt were the top 3 surgeons in Austin and had consults with each of them. Dr. Reid most definitely stood out among the 3. He is caring, knowledgeable, honest, compassionate and VERY patient:). I also appreciated his transparency about what was realistic and what was not for my body. Leading up to the surgery there were many, many emails between myself and Roxy, his patient coordinator. Whether I had yet another concern to address, payment or scheduling questions, Roxy was very responsive and extremely patient. She has a cheerful, upbeat personality and it shows that she loves her job at Restora! I have grown to adore her and I don't believe my experience would have been quite as wonderful without her. In spite of the expected pain, Surgery Day was also a great experience. I loved the surgery center where Dr. Reid operates and the nurses who cared for me were fabulous. It makes such a difference for the patient to have nurses who are excited about what they're doing, attentive and even humorous! Kacie, his fabulous nurse, called and checked in with me after the surgery. She even went as far as dropping some necessary supplies by my HOME when I had some expected complications. Plastic surgery can be a traumatic event for our body and Kacie was very knowledgeable at every step and always made me feel completely comfortable. I always look forward to seeing her at every appt. and miss her if she's out! I am going to try and fit all the WONDERFUL things about Dr. Reid into a decently sized review, but if you need one word to describe Dr. Reid it would be MAGICAL! If you are searching and researching (as I did) for the best plastic surgeon, book your consultation with Dr. Reid! Consultation / Pre-Operation: My consultation was for a tummy tuck due to pregnancy, weight gain/loss, and an umbilical hernia. Roxy was my patient coordinator and is the BEST. She walked me through the entire process, and literally answered question after question (and I had many). So very thankful for her guidance. For my consultation, I met with Dr. Reid's nurse Kendra first, and she is just AMAZING. Each person I encountered was wonderful, but Kendra was my nurse, and I just can't say enough good things about her! I then met with Dr. Reid, and I knew immediately when Dr. Reid walked into my consultation, he was going to be my plastic surgeon. His bedside manner is SO wonderful. Dr. Reid is personable, compassionate, caring, listens to your goals, concerns, and will answer any questions you have. He was compassionately honest about my results, and what I could/should expect. Surgery/Post Operation: For my personal goals, we decided on a tummy tuck with lateral suctioning (liposuction to the hip area). Y'ALL! I cannot even put into words how FANTASTIC my results are! I am now 7 weeks post operation, and everything I envisioned, Dr. Reid delivered! I'd been thinking about getting gynecomastia surgery for years, until finally, in 2019, I started an extensive search for a surgeon with experience with gynecomastia surgery. I'd considered traveling to internationally to South America, but after a consultation here in Austin with Dr. Reid and Restora, I felt I'd be in much better hands with him. Throughout the process, Dr. Reid and his staff, especially Lindsay, were incredibly reassuring and helpful. Lindsay answered all my questions during the weeks before surgery, and she has continued to be supportive even during the recovery period.  Roxy was accommodating too as we were getting things set up. On the day of the surgery, I imagined I'd be very worried, but because Dr. Reid and the staff had already addressed my concerns, didn't sweat it too much at all. The surgery with Dr. Reid went incredibly smoothly. I didn't feel a thing and didn't even know it happened until I woke up. I'm not going to gloss over the reality of recovery. It takes time and it's important to be compliant with the process. But, it's definitely worth it. I'm still in the middle stage of recovery (it's been ~3 months since the surgery) but from everything I can see, my results are amazing! I've already started wearing tank tops, going to the gym, and generally enjoying my body in ways I never did before. I get to wear the clothes I saved but never wore before. I'm wearing things that fit my body, rather than trying to disguise it. I'm also working on fixing my posture so I don't have to slouch anymore. And soon enough, once everything's healed, I will be able to finally swim in public without a shirt, or play shirts vs. skins sports. I had contemplated having breast augmentation done for quite some time, but was afraid of the complications that could come with it. I recently had a breast lift and augmentation with this surgeon and it was a great experience. His office is clean and comfortable. His staff is friendly and competent. He has paid attention to the little things such as lighting, cleanliness, time spent waiting, having a female present for the woman to talk to and not embarassing the woman during the exam. Why does this matter? It matters because if he pays attention to the little things in his office it is very likely he will do the same in surgery. People are creatures of habit. The surgery center was wonderful and I enjoyed seeing that most of the nurses were my age ~50. The anesthesiologist was named Dr. Gunn I think and she took all of my concerns seriously.Why is it important to care about that? For one, it is the anesthesiologist who is putting you under. A mistake on her part can be fatal. So these Md's are highly trained and competent. If anything begins to go wrong it is the anesthesiologist that will take control of the situation. The result: absolulutly perfect breasts that are like a work of art they are so beautiful.I seriously did not expect my body to be this-attractive. The recovery was minimal and I took no pain meds after day 1. Having my wisdon teeth pulled was worse than this. I was up and walking around right away. My experience both as a nurse and an observer of human behavior is that top notch Md's will only associate with other top notch MD's. It is almost instinctual and intuitive for them. They know that one bad doctor can sink the whole operation so they associate themselves with others that are similiar. I think that this is just human nature. And, their office has delicious cookies for you to eat! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Reid and the entire Restora team. I did a lot of research before deciding on Restora for my breast augmentation, even paid the non-refundable deposit to two other surgeons so I could have a thorough consultation - the experience from start to finish at Restora was unrivaled. Pre-surgery, all my questions were answered with patience and I never felt rushed or pressured...on the contrary, they go to great lengths to make sure your expectations align with the service they can provide. I felt so prepared going into the actual procedure. When the day finally came, the facility felt like a spa rather than a hospital and every attention to detail was considered (soft music, heated blanket, attentive staff....amazing). I'm grateful that my surgery was quick and uneventful and I went home the same day with minimal discomfort. Although they equipped me with all the medication I could possibly need, I found my recovery to be so smooth and I didn't need any of the hard stuff. Dr. Reid at Restora Austin Plastic Surgery Wow!! Where do I start?! I knew I wanted to have a breast augmentation after having kids and breast feeding. I wanted a full, natural look-just enough to compliment my petite, athletic build. I would say I'm on the more cautious side when it comes to my health, so having an elective surgery made me nervous to say the least. I started researching about a year and half before ever actually having my surgery. Dr. Reid was the third out of five Austin doctors that I did a consultation with. It is difficult to describe how unique of an experience I had with Dr. Reid and his practice, Restora Austin. The facilities, office staff, nurses, and (obviously) surgeons have such high standards of communication and care throughout every step of the surgical experience. After several Google searches, and lots of Instagram stalking lol , it was apparent that Dr. Reid was not only extremely qualified, but that he also CARES about what he does. The physical results and testimonials of his previous patients all over the internet were enough to get me calling Restora for a consult. Within 5 minutes of meeting Dr. Reid, it was beyond obvious that I had made the right decision. He was open, honest, respectful, inquisitive about my desires, and extremely thorough in his assessment of what we could achieve for my procedure. I knew I wanted my breast implants removed, but was unclear on how I'd like to proceed beyond that in order to maintain a shape that I would be happy with. After presenting me with several options, Dr. Reid and I decided to perform a breast lift with the remaining tissue and a fat transfer to the breast that was taken from my flanks and abdomen. I met Dr. Reid when my almost 6-year-old son was injured in a bicycle accident. Dr. Reid was the plastic surgeon on-call that was called to repair his face. I was so impressed with Dr. Reid's meticulous work and bedside manner that I knew he had to be my plastic surgeon as soon as I was finished having children. Two years later, I was finished nursing my third child and was ready for my "mommy makeover" from Dr. Reid; anyone who I knew I could trust with my child, I could trust to be my plastic surgeon. I had been a little nervous when considering the surgery and recovery time, but Dr. Reid's wonderful staff talked in depth about the procedures and recovery with me over the phone before even coming in. They helped me feel completely comfortable. Dr. Reid has an impeccable bedside manner, which will put you further at ease. I was kept very comfortable during my short recovery period, which was better than expected, and my results are phenomenal! The size for my breasts is perfect and they look completely natural. I had a complicated surgical history (with a different surgeon in another state) which resulted in a painful grade 4 capsular contracture. I tried once to get it fixed, but the problem worsened so I was extremely nervous about trying a third surgery to get it corrected. But-I knew I needed to get the problem addressed. I saw three other physicians in the Austin area and Dr. Reid was the first doctor who actually evaluated me at my initial consultation. He was so patient and understanding of all my questions and concerns. He was approachable and professional. I decided to go with Restora and Dr. Reid and the surgery was a complete success. I did have a minor allergic reaction to some of the post-op medication, but the on-call nurse was responsive and took care of my issues right away. I am so glad I decided to go with Dr. Reid and his amazing staff at Restora Austin- he fixed everything and I could not be happier with the results. The only thing I would change about my experience is that I would have seen Dr. Reid two years sooner! There are no words to describe my experience with Dr Reid at Restora Austin. Tummy Tuck, muscle repair and 360 Liposuction. From my very first consultation, I felt comfortable and understood. Dr. Reid took the time to listen to my concerns and goals, and patiently explained the entire procedure, including potential risks and recovery expectations. I cannot rave enough about Dr. Dustin Reid and the Restora staff. From the moment I spoke on the phone with Stephanie to book my consultation appointment to my follow up appointment months after my surgery, I have loved every moment. I have always been self conscious about my nose and I went to multiple doctors before choosing Dr. Reid. many of them made me feel worse about myself even saying I had a "males nose". Dr. Reid addressed all of my concerns and made me feel SAFE. I even got to see morphed photos to see what my nose would look like after!! I stared at those pictures for months. I am writing this review with the hope of reaching someone who is currently considering plastic surgery but is unsure or confused in their choices. Before selecting my doctor, I researched more than a few cosmetic surgeons in the Austin area and my strong recommendation would be to do yourself a favor and schedule a consultation with Dr. Reid at Restora. Earlier this year, I had a breast lift / augmentation and I could not be happier with the results. From the very first consultation, Dr. Reid and his staff put my husband and I at ease. Dr. Reid was never too busy for us -- he was always punctual, answered all of our questions, explained the results I could expect and gave input into my different options. I could not ask for more from a physician -- from the pre-op appointment all the way through our post surgery meetings, the experience has been top notch. Honestly, I think the results of my surgery are pretty amazing. Dr. Reid listened to my goals and to what I wanted and made it a reality for me. Like anyone else, I read countless reviews , hoping to find "The One!" There are lots of Surgeons in Austin and the more I reviewed Youtube videos from the Drs who explained why their practice was outstanding, the more confused I became. I made a long list then read some more and came up with a short list of Docs to meet in person. Obviously I chose Dr Reed. I doubt he knows what made me choose him because he is unaware I think, of how he compares in the initial meet and greet. He is not selling, nor is he trying to make friends. He listens intently tho I am sure he's heard the confident sounding but insecure(almost embarrassed) words many times before. Dr Reed has the sensibilities and manner of a Pediatrician versus a cosmetic surgeon. BEYOND all of this., the procedures I had done, neck and face lift along with laser resurfacing, were MORE than what I hoped for as I tried to keep moderate expectations. The results are so so pleasing and what makes it such a great experience to this moment, almost 3 months after surgery, is that every step of the way I felt looked after, tended to by this incredibly professional staff who have been consistently friendly, warm and attentive. I am a 49 year old female that had a breast reduction first then a year later I had tummy tuck 360. I am a Registered Nurse with over 20 years experience in surgery. I did my research regarding my breast reduction, I am not from Austin nor did I know Dr. Reid. His IG teaching, and his website before and afters did all the talking. I knew I had found the right Surgeon for me. Dealing with his staff, I could tell they were a definite reflection of him. Everyone is genuine and kind. I felt like I knew them all already. From the nurses to the front desk to the surgery center staff and anesthetists. I never met a stranger. I can go on forever. My results from the breast reduction now recently tummy tuck 360 is unmatched. His contouring ability with liposuction is the best there is. I had no idea my results would be as great as they have been. I have seen it all working in surgery and I can tell you without a doubt, Dr. Reid is one of a kind. I went to two other plastic surgeons in Austin to consult for breast augmentation. I wasn't even really serious about it; I was curious as I'd seen some beautiful breasts including on an enhanced mom at Spanish beaches and I was like - huh, I could be a hotter mom too. I definitely recommend going to several doctors for consultations, because you never know whom you will click with. I find Dr. Reid enthusiastic and passionate about his work and very pleasant with many photographic examples of excellent work. One of his patient consultants is also a patient with fantastic results so she was very helpful especially with size recommendations. The other two doctors' staff had me looking at smaller sizes which would not have filled up my tissue adequately. The only thing I would say is that I would recommend that Dr. Reid give one more follow-up within the first couple of days as that's when you feel the most concerned, and that some sort of summary be given during recovery if the doctor doesn't see you then, as I didn't know what size I'd ended up with. But I'm about 18 months post-op and am a very happy, hotter mom. read more

I LOVE... LOVE... LOVE... Dr. Reid and his wonderful staff... I had breast augmentation only 3 months ago.. I am healed beautifuly and couldn't be happier... Dr. Reid did such an amazing job and I am so thankful to him... I was very nervous about getting my breast augmentation; however Dr. Reid and his staff made me feel so comfortable and confident. My husband is how I met Doc... My husband had a motorcycle accident and had a hole the size of a softball on his head... Dr. Reid was the plastic surgeon on call and did a beautiful job with as minimal scaring as he could.
