My body is destroyed and will never recover because of Dr. Trussler. He is still the worst decision I have ever made and my biggest regret in life. I encourage everyone to read my previous reviews for all the details. I gave up my $15k refund in exchange for the right to post this honest review. On the other hand, before my own surgery, I saw all the 5-star reviews and zero 1-star reviews and thought that meant no 1-star reviews existed. I sincerely question that after my own offer of a full refund but only in exchange for my silence. Someone asked recently about the contact he asked me to sign in exchange for a full refund ($15,050) so I attached a photo of it. It reads (in part): "THAT I fully understand that from this day forward I will not speak about this case or Dr. Andrew P. Trussler, M.D. publicly (i.e. media- news, print, or electronic) or privately. Also, there will not further public (e.g. signage or voice amplification) or private demostrations (sic) nor discussing this case with any other persons. If I continue any of the above mentioned I am hereby notified I will incur treble civil penalties." It is very difficult to sue for medical malpractice in the state of Texas, and even then, the damages are capped at an amount that might not even be worth the trouble after the emotional drain and attorney's fees. I had a rhinoplasty from Dr Trussler in January 2022. I've now discovered that Dr Trussler unnecessarily removed my turbinates inside the nose, which my sinus specialist tells me we have known since 1985 should not be removed. As a result, I am now dealing with snoring and severe sleep apnea caused by chronic nasal collapse and bacterial colonization of the nasal canal. 6/5/2025 Upper Blepharoplasty and Brow Lift Review I want to start off by saying that I like Dr. Trussler and his staff. He and his staff have been very kind to me and have tried to help me out with any touchups that have needed to be done with procedures recently had. I had 2 procedures at one time, upper blepharoplasty and brow lift. I wasn't happy with my heavy eyelids and decided to move forward with the above procedures. The results of the procedures were not to my liking and so a little bit of revision work was performed. There were a couple of different time periods for 2-3 separate revisions. I was informed by Dr. Trussler during the first browlift procedure that small scars would be present on my forehead but would fade away being mostly unnoticeable. After a couple of revisions for my brow area, the scars were much larger and noticeable. This is and has been bothersome to me. Dr. Trussler's staff have performed procedures on my forehead scars trying to make them less noticeable. Micro-needling and peels have both been performed numerous times to try and aid in making the scars less noticeable. The staff have given it their all trying to make my situation better and I greatly appreciate their time and efforts. As I said earlier, I like Dr. Trussler and his staff and they have all been very kind to me and have tried to help me to the best of their abilities and procedures at hand. With that being said, I think that anyone wanting to do an elective procedure should really do their homework. They should write down questions to ask their doctor/surgeon. They should research the desired procedure and look at both positive and negative results and/or reviews. You need to be aware that the results you get are not perfect. I don't think perfect exists so you should know that. Know that there will most likely be some sort of nerve damage with certain procedures had. It's not the doctors fault but when someone is messing with and/or disturbing the flesh and nerves in ones facial area, risks of this is high. What I am wanting to get across to anyone reading this review is that you need to know that surgeries come at a cost. There are no guarantees that everything will work out perfect or great for you. That there are great results and sometimes results that are not well liked. Anytime that I look in a mirror, I am quickly reminded of an elective surgery that I had. As time goes by, I am a little less bothered by it and am working hard to accept that it is what it is. My hope is that this review gets someone to thinking about a procedure they are interested in and knowing all that they can about the procedure. I feel like I look like me, just before. In many ways I wanted these gigantic boobs and super small waist but I can't have implants so that's why I searched out Dt Trussler. He is one of the only ones in my area that does auto augmentation on breasts and he's incredible. I did 4 consults and I loved them all but ultimately chose Trussler because of the auto aug. All the other doctors really wanted implants, they told me I'd be an A if I just did a lift. As I said I'm super swollen but I feel like I've got to be a small C cup? Look up auto augmentation but he basically utilizes all the left over breast tissue from the lift to fill in your upper pole, etc. I know many women these days are not wanting implants but not ready to sacrifice losing what they have in a lift. Also, would have been good to know about his disciplinary action with Texas Medical Board (sexual misconduct with patients, and drug abuse). Yikes. I recently had an implant exchange, lift and under eye filler and loved everything about my experience - from consultation to follow up. I had consultations with many plastic surgeons before meeting with Dr. Trussler, but knew five minutes into our meeting it would be my last. Dr. Trussler's bedside manner is top notch. He spent time listening to my concerns, asked questions about my lifestyle and was incredibly knowledgeable on the concerns I shared. His nurse, Brooke was amazing at my pre/op appointment and helped calm my nerves the day of surgery. As I checked into the hospital and got set up my husband and I were chatty with various hospital employees. We met three different people who had previous work done with Dr. Trussler and shared with us their experience, confidence in his abilities, satisfaction with their results and that he's been nicknamed "The Man" by the hospital staff. I couldn't agree more! Surgery and recovery went exactly as Dr. Trussler expected. I thought for sure I'd be the exception and would have a hard time caring for my two young children post-op, but was back to lifting my baby and safely securing the kid's in their car seats by day three. Pain was easily managed with ibuprofen. Onto the most important part; the results!! I couldn't be more pleased with the results. This is a review of the consultation I had with Dr.Trussler. He was the first of 4 plastic surgeons I interviewed for a mommy makeover. First of all, he ran late. I knew it was a big deal to him because he apologized a lot. I appreciated that about him. When we got down to the consultation, Dr Trussler was professional, kind, funny and made me feel at ease. Dr Andrew Trussler worked alongside Dr Curtis Crane, doing my rhinoplasty and some other soft tissue work as a part of my facial feminization surgery about five months ago. So far I'm elated with the results. I'm very happy with not just the care I received in the operating room, but with the care and compassion Dr Trussler and his team have consistently shown me before and after my procedure. I should note that a few weeks after surgery I ended up with a somewhat severe complication with my nose that landed me in the ER. Even though it was late at night he was quick to respond to the ER doctor with instructions on how to stabilize me, and he quickly arranged to see me the very next day. He was emphatic, explained exactly what went wrong, why he thought it wouldn't reoccur, and left me feeling assured that in the unlikely event it happened again he would have the situation under control (and indeed since that day I've had no further issues!) I've encountered a lot of medical professionals for a variety of reasons over the last two years, and have often been left feeling jaded over the lack of care and empathy they've showed. I'm very happy Dr Trussler has been an exception to that rule. If I do ever end up desiring more work on my face, I would absolutely return to him in a heartbeat, and I strongly recommend anybody else that's looking into cosmetic work consider him as well. read more

I was recommended to Dr. Trussler by someone in a mom group. I had a virtual consultation & it was great. At the end of the consult I was asked to bring all my insurance info in to the office. I had talked to my insurance & they said they most likely wouldn't cover my surgery, but I appreciated that the office would try. I never mentioned insurance & the staff was the one who brought it up. I went to the consult & got all the information regarding the surgery & gave my insurance information. I think I made it clear I would have the surgery with or without my insurance covering anything. It's a 10k surgery so anything would help if possible, but I need the surgery either way. I called a couple weeks later to check if the surgery had been submitted to insurance so I could submit my supporting documentation & to book my surgery. I left a VM and no one called me back. I called again the next week & it was pretty clear nothing had been done. I asked to put down my deposit & book for February & I was told all fridays were booked (I was trying to book when I have childcare). I said I would like to book for March, but I was told I couldn't because she didn't know when spring break was & if Dr. Trussler was taking a vacation in March. I think she could tell I was kind of astonished that I couldn't book & give my money to a company so she said she would see if she could submit my surgery to my insurance & then call me to book. It's been several weeks and I haven't heard anything so I'm moving forward with another surgeon. Such a frustrating and disappointing experience that I will forever regret. I had a mini tummy tuck 2 years ago plus an under eye fat transfer. 2 years later and I'm still dealing with issues from these procedures, the worst with my tummy. When the surgery was initially completed everything looked great except there was an indent at the top of my stomach that I was told would dissolve. The staff said it was holding everything together and would dissolve in a couple of weeks. It didn't dissolve and Dr Trussler suggested a local procedure in the office to remove it. He said it's a quick and easy procedure and didn't mention any potential side effects. I got this procedure done and the indent was removed no problem; however, after healing, I noticed some terrible new indents, scars and bumps in the center of my stomach that weren't there before. I should add I had a beautiful stomach before. My core looked defined, strong and flat. But after this procedure, it was ruined. I went back to Dr Trusslers office several times to try different things to resolve it and nothing worked. Honestly it felt like he was just trying to buy more time. I especially believe this to be true now that I've had multiple other expert opinions. I got to the point where I simply didn't trust him and decided to seek help elsewhere. When I met with other Doctors they had no clue what happened or how I ended up where I am and saw tons of issues. There may not be a resolution either (waiting on one more opinion) so I could be stuck with this forever. In addition to the above issues, one side of the under eye fat transfer is higher than the other. As such, I have a slight bump under one of my eyes. Again went in several times to try to resolve this and it's still there. Dr Trussler even pretended on one of these visits that it wasn't there. Shouldn't cosmetic surgeons be perfectionists that see every little detail? My husband says it looks like a black eye in certain lighting. I would recommend googling his name and you'll see plenty of other experiences similar to mine. You won't see them if you only look at Google reviews, I suspect the bad ones have been bought out. I tried several times to contact his office to schedule a consultation. I called and sent multiple emails. After almost a week I finally got a hold of someone only to find out that they charge you $100 consultation fee just to see the doctor. I've spoken to at least 6 other doctors offices who don't charge you a consultation fee but they do take a card just in case you cancel with in a 24 hour period or do a "no show". I feel that is more reasonable than charging me to meet you, just for me to potentially spend a lot of money. The office staff or whom ever, isn't responsive and I read as they don't want patients. Just a few words of wisdom from someone who is shopping around looking for the right surgeon. The search continues! read more

My experience with Dr Trussler and his staff has been incredible. I felt right at ease from the very first phone call. I originally visited Dr. Trussler's for a rhinoplasty consultation. This is a surgery that I have always been terrified of, however after seeing some of his amazing results on my friends - I just had to visit. Dr. Trussler took almost an hour visiting with me, completely un rushed. He patiently listened to all of my concerns and fears. It turns out that I had a pretty severe deviated septum that was causing most of my concerns. His approach is different because he rebuilds and corrects that actual problem, and then addresses cosmetic. My main goal was to address the medical issues, with light touches to my nose. I still wanted to look like myself. My goal was absolutely accomplished, thanks to Dr. Trussler. I look like a new and improved version of MYSELF! Not only does it look great. My healing has gone very well. Three weeks post surgery, I could go out with no make up, and people had NO idea that I just had cosmetic surgery. No black eyes, no marks, etc. It's incredible. A few other things that have put Dr. Trussler above the rest is he has been very conservative, and really takes the entire proportions of the face into account. I appreciate that so much, because you look natural when you leave. I also have to comment on his staff. The week prior to my surgery, I must have called with a million questions and fears. They were incredibly patient with me. They always answered my questions, returned my phone call, and eased my fears. I never felt like I was bothering anyone. Couldn't be happier almost 3 years later! I had my first cosmetic surgery back in 1999 (different Dr) and was so sick afterward. I vomited for 12 straight hours and my lips were bluish purple coming out of surgery so I was scared to ever go under the knife again. Fast forward to 12/2017 I had grown very self conscious of my neck looking much older than my face (thank you years of tanning beds and sun exposure) to the point I was always trying to cover up my neck. Knowing this surgery would be much longer and more intensive I was very apprehensive. Dr. Trussler recommended a neck and lower face lift with a peel to address my concerns. He listened to my concerns & gave me a medication no other Dr in the past used or even mentioned when I discussed my surgery concerns and it worked! I didn't get sick one time after the surgery or while taking my pain medication (nor were my lips bluish purple after surgery). Dr. Trussler and his amazing staff took great care of me and handled my anxiety with empathy (Brooke is seriously a rock star!) and have continued to be a great resource to me for products and recommendations. The only scars I notice now are the ones I failed to take care of (because it was behind my ears) and it was my own fault. The ones I did, you can't even see anymore! I had my first visit for Botox just a couple of days ago. A friend of mine referred me, and I'm so glad she did! Dr. Trussler and Brooke are absolutely wonderful!! The entire staff is very easy-going, warm and frienfly. I felt like I was in good hands. Dr. Trussler took quite a bit of time going over what I needed and what to expect from the procedure. He was honest, and didn't overdue it. I will definitely be going back. Next time, I will get a filler in my lips and around my eyes, and I have complete confidence that the doctor will do a fantastic job. I highly recommend their office. read more
