Dustin and his crew were clutch! We started our cross country drive from CA to VA and a few hours into it, the check engine light turns on while we are on I-80. We were staying the night and looked on Yelp for reviews to investigate. We found Dustin's shop and we're going to try to visit the next morning thinking it was a minor issue and we would get a quick fix. We get to his shop 15 minutes before he opens and we explain our situation. He has a busy schedule and had no obligation to help us as we were just passing through but he said he would take a look and ran some tests. He had some initial thoughts and tried a few things related to a MAF sensor (including cleaning and then replacing it) but something was still wrong. He and his team finally isolated the problem with a fuel exhaust sensor, replaced the part and did more test driving and got us back on the road that afternoon. Dustin and his team were kind honest and thorough and we truly appreciated his work and detail. He could have easily given up or just reset the codes but he cared enough to identify and fix the issue. Premium Service, was driving my van on a road trip when it went bzerk 8 miles east on i80. My towtruck driver recommended Dustin's, was a bit concerned that he was getting me to his friends. These guys kick ass. I am from out of town so I am always leary of finding a new shop to trust. These guys are the shit. I dealt with them on two very recent occasions and both times. They didnt try to upsell me. They tackled the problems and worked to keep me in budget and even under budget. The first time I hit a tire on the highway in Fernely and it tore all my radiator hoses apart. I fixed it myself and brought it in for them to inspect my work. They didnt try to get extra work and told me a did a good job zip tied and tighted my work and topped it off with antifreeze. I had heard that it is often a very expensive fix so after saving up a few hundred, I called a few shops to get it looked at. Mom and I were recommended to quite a few places to take my 2002 PT Cruiser, "Petunia". (Yes, my cars name is Petunia!) We ran into a lot of duds along the way, one place which will remain nameless, flat out wanted me to leave my car in his parking lot for up to a month and he would get to it when he got it. Uuummmmmm, NO!! Thankfully, The Twins at Mom's work told us to go to Dustins, and I'm sure glad we did! Mom first called to see when and if we could bring Petunia in for a diagnostic test to try and pin point what was wrong with her, she kept over heating after the engine warmed up, especially on hot days after I had been stopped for more than 2 minutes. I figured it was the fan. Alex answered the phone as she is the receptionist/office manager/ all around bad ass! This girl really knows her stuff and is just totally awesome! She is knowledgeable, sincere, straight forward, professional, and very nice. It's because of her that we took Petunia to Dustins! We scheduled to take her in the following week on Mom's day off. Alex went outside with us and popped the hood to check my oil to make sure the coolant wasn't leaking into it, it would look like a milkshake if it was, FYI. Luckily, my oil looked fine and she agreed with me that it was either the fan, which is very common for them to go out on the Cruisers, or the thermostat. We left Petunia with Alex and Dustin and hoped for the best! Alex called Friday and said it was the fan. Unfortunately, even though it's a relatively easy fix, the engine on a PT Cruiser is very bunched together and odd, so it's a pain to get to, which meant labor costs. She quoted us about $350 for parts and labor and she could have it back to me by Monday or Tueaday, at the latest. Sure enough, she called Monday afternoon saying it was done and that the cost was $368. I really appreciated that Petunia was ready when they said she would be, that the final cost was in a $20 range of the original quote, and that 2 or 3 other things didn't suddenly need to be fixed right away, ya know? Alex also was kind enough to give my car a once over for me as I am going to Roseville/Nevada City in mid December and want to make sure my car is safe to drive in the mountains and possible snow. I'm kind of bummed that I forgot about their check in offer of a $75 voucher for $50, limit of 3!! Oh well, I will use them next time! Petunia no longer over heats and is a happy girl! I will be taking her here before my December road trip for an oil change, also a check in offer discount of $5 off I believe, and just to double check for safety. Alex is great, and like I said, she really know about cars, their components, how they work, etc!! I'm glad that Mom and I have found a dependable, honest, and fairly priced mechanic located nearby that we can take our cars to and recommend to others! Poor customer service. My car sat at their shop for a day and a half before they even took a look at it despite having told me that the car would be looked at by the end of the first day (which is why I chose to go with this shop as I was just about to leave town). After many phone calls initiated by myself and another day being kept in the dark, they did look at my car it took them several hours to diagnose the problem which they later charged me what I believed to be an unfair price for them to figure out the issue. I wound up paying the same for the diagnostic as I did for the repair. When i brought my issue up to them they said they could not work with me on this and never even apologized for their lack of communication or inconvenience they caused me. After all this the car is fixed but I am unhappy with the way I was treated and will not go back to this shop read more

These amazing guys are lifesavers! I was having issues passing smog and had had my catalytic converter replaced by another mechanic and could not pass smog. They were able to diagnose the issue right away and were also so patient with all my questions.
