She actually thanked us for coming out in the rain! As soon as we walked in, Gena eyeballed us both and told us our sizes. She was right on the money! She explained why we were unhappy with the sizing of our old bras. The attention and service she provided to both of us was outstanding. My salesperson was lovely, sweet and incredibly helpful (I did not get her name). I went to the cash register and was treated extremely rudely by the person who rang me up. There was no one else purchasing, so this wasn't a matter of her feeling rushed. I did not want to give my email address and she cut me off, insisting that I could not make the purchase without my email address being entered (said with a smirk, unless I didn't want the discount). She also told me I would receive an emailed receipt, which I never received. When I tried to ask another question, was interrupted and condescended to. My partner, who was shopping with me and works in retail, left the store because he was so offended by her attitude. I had brought in some items to consign. Among them was a pocketbook, never used in perfect condition; it was not a top end designer bag but was a very good name brand selling for about $400. I felt that Karen priced it way too low for what I paid for it. I ended up deciding to leave it anyway since store policy is not to mark down again for five weeks if it doesn't sell, which Karen even reminded me of verbally. I called back in EXACTLY five weeks to the day and guess what?? It had already sold days before, and Karen had marked it down even further!! A direct violation of store policy that she promises to her consignors and also a direct violation of what she told me when I was on the fence about leaving it; in other words, a direct LIE. I ended up getting a 'pittance' of what I paid for it. It's very sad that a business owner would choose to pull a stunt like that; lying to a customer, but also violating store policy is, in essence, lying to all her customers.
